  • You can't cure autism, you know that right. It is a genetic disorder passed on by other people. It's not like a disease. You are stereo-typing autism. I eat gluten and casein and i feel perfectly fine. And that makes you not like people with autism, and call it a bad thing, which it's not.

  • i have autism also. I am extremely shy, and don't really much being around other people.

  • Floortime is the best....

i am speechtherapist in Greece and i work with this...

  • nice video

  • i have aspergers i can understand sarcasm jokes and other people emostions i have good motor skills but i do become very very shy if i meet new people

  • @GUNnut247 well if you need someone to talk to...

  • Gluten free... Are you trying to kill us. That means no chocolate to me... Heeeeell no!

  • gluten free is not always tasty

  • i know how to help an autistic child......FUCK OFF AND SHUT IT!!!!!!

  • @TheNyanster 5minits a video. they also reuse all of there images.

  • how long do they spend on their art

  • 1:06 illuminati pyramid WTF ???

  • Well fair enough then

  • Thumbs up if you think howcast doesn't know shit about autism and other thing. It's like they think they are the god almighty and think they know everything and this is coming from somebody who has had a first hand experience by living with a austistic brother

  • @MrApache101

all individuals with autism are different. This video is about autism in a broad sense, no rule or principle is going to apply to every single person, but rather, they will apply to most.

So yes, your brother will not fit this video 100%, no child will, but, most individuals will generally fit in with the advice of the video.

  • My brother has autism and is now 21 and this gluten free diet stuff is bullshit because my brother went from having temper tantrum all day and not talking to a hard working individual who did extremely well in school

  • for more tips on how you can help your child

  • for more tips on how you can help your child

  • r they desciminating people with autism those guys r retards i have asburgers and thats on the autism spectrum howcast hates people with autism

  • FUCK AUTISM! I'M ALREADY BEATING IT UP HARD! (That's what she said.)

  • @missemma00 my mom first realized that i had aspergers when i shook badly and moved my hands and touched my fingers together.

  • you know you cant cure autism. and most parents with a kid who has autism doesnt notice it until they are around the age when they are supposed to know how to talk andwalk and all that stuff. autism is somethng that will stick to a child forever. @HotNarwhal yes u r right. both of my older brothers have autism and i have aspergers. my mom may get stressed and points but she knows that my brothers cant help it. and that i cant.

  • ihave HDHD

  • autism is basically late learning and social issues, ami rite? what's the major problem with that?

  • 1:24

autistic childred dont need a picture communination system if they dont need one

  • and this video is stereo typing autism

  • whats the point in a gluten free, casin free deit?

  • 3:10 It's kinda insulting with them saying I have a disability, and also saying how it can be "cured" like I have a disease or something. at least it's not as bad as "How to have a Celebrity Breakdown" on this channel. That video is FULL of bad advice, most of wich will get you thrown in jail. I should really stick with VideoJug.

  • I like trains

  • When my son was 2. He showed all signs of autism (but we didn't know it). He wouldn't show any emotion and would watch Thomas all day if we let him. When he was 3, my ex and I got divorced, and I hugged him as often as I could, which was at bedtime (only time he allowed me to). I didn't know he had autism, something just told me to hug him, and i listened. Now he is 9 and is extremely intelligent and is very loving with many friends. Love your children and give them affection often.

  • you don't need to change your diet.

  • Gluten-free, Casein free diet? FUCK THAT FUCKING SHIT.

  • TROLOLOL CENSORY

  • i heard in the 30s germany found a way to cure people with autism and other mental illnesses ?

  • This video is complete utter bullshit

  • @4markie - do you have autism?

  • @libbymalone - you're not bursting my bubble because I know therapies work. Your negativity is more likely bursting your brothers bubble. I hope your parents don't share your views, otherwise, your brother will never improve. These therapies don't claim to "cure" autism; they exist to help your brother learn how to manage his environment and respond appropriately, but they take a lot of time, patience, love and understanding.

  • 11 people are FUCKING IDIOT ASSHOLES & must die right Now! +1 if you agree

  • I'm not being rude but my brothers autistic and we've tried therapy and all that and it doesn't help. They are still going to be autistic no matter what you do !! You can't change them.. My brother still flaps his hands, can't talk, doesn't pay attention when your talking to him, repeats things.. I'm sorry but I don't believe any of this helps so sorry to burst your bubble but they are normal enough and you can't change them !!! :@

  • Also what helps is if they tap or run round in circles and you want them to stop and they wont listen, copy them, they'll get annoyed and do what you asked them to do. It worked with me.

  • I think I have it but my parents don't think so they haven't even thought about it. I'm 12 what do I do???

  • my brother liam has autism (i say ppl pounce it wrong it is awesome) but hes 9 and he can edit his videos all the time he is really good and i support him im 11

please watch his videos on mtaheny01 (lol he stole my moms channel)

  • I have intestinal problems and a bee allergy. Does that mean I'm autistic?

  • @RikuRiku - those two things alone do not indicate a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder. If you feel that something is going on (autism or other), then you should check in with your doctor and talk to him/her about it. They can help you figure out what, if anything else, is going on. Good luck!

  • I have the biggest penis in the world, and everyone elses is very small.

  • step 1 tell them to stop acting like retards and treat them like normal people

  • How to help a child with autism: be nice, kind, understanding, and not a condescending asshole. If only my former therapists knew...

  • NO vaccine EVER proven safe or effective. 1853 UK had mandatory small pox law= fines increased to criminal jail in '67 & near 100% compliance by '71. Results? 1872 worse epidemic small pox ever near 45,000 deaths. 1955 health director Peterson of Idaho halted Salk polio vaccine program. Medical industry pushes vaccines to create sick people. They need sick people to make money. If there were no sick people they'd be out of cushy jobs. Sadist should be charged criminally liars they R

  • What the H-e-double hockey sticks does a Gluten free casein free diet have to do with Autism

  • As an aspie and a teacher of ASD children, this is FANTASTIC. Finally, a video that isn't made of malarky.

  • there is a kid at my school and I think he has autism because hes like 13 or 14 and acts like a 4 or 5 year old does that mean hes autistic???

  • @TensaZangetsu63 He could be. 70% of diagnosed autistic people have mild to severe cogntive impairments (mental retardation). He definitely has MR but not necessarily autism.

  • i think i have the same thing.. but not so severely . .. but i kinda like it coz im great at computer programming..

  • I'm with @unfortunatewitnessX

  • HowCast is one of the initial ways we learned about Autism.

  • lady speaks too fast

  • @raulbarrientos007 maybe she have autism

  • @18luck To pay or not to pay; that is the question.

  • I have A.D.H.D why am i watching this? Oooh squirel! Be my frien you little freak of nature! Aw he went up the tree. Hey squirel! FUCK YOU!

  • Step 1: be frikken rich

Step 2: try not to kill yourself when you can't afford the dozens of therapies mentioned

  • ABA - Applied Behavior Analysis é really great for autism and to a lot of other things.

  • Another sensitivity issue you neglected to mention is SMELL

  • alternative step 6: use the Son Rise Program

  • This video is even better, giving more hope for all parents of autistic children to give them a better life.

  • @unfortunatewitnessX Please don't take this the wrong way, I'm not trying to offend anybody, but THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH AUTISTIC CHILDREN. WE JUST HAVE A DIFFERENT WAY OF INTERACTING WITH THE WORLD.

  • Yeah, you can start by turning them damn caps off.

  • @4543563 okay. happy?

  • @bltsdsubbie i have autisum

  • @ihaveautisum Me, too. Team Asperger :D

  • @bltsdsubbie not to be mean... but what do u mean with "WE"

  • @TheMagnificentPony Well, usually when you refer to yourself and a group of people you use the word "we". Basic English grammar.

  • @bltsdsubbie well tnx 4 the pointer... actually nevermind that comment.... boredom makes u tipe stupid stuff D: cheers

  • @bltsdsubbie Your right I'm Autistic

  • @bltsdsubbie thx i hav autism and from what i hear they say it's a bad thing

  • @bltsdsubbie true dat

  • @bltsdsubbie how can you say there is nothing wrong with autistic children? This is not just a different way of looking at the world. My friends son is extremely autistic, and he needs care 24/7. He is severely affected by this. While more high functioning versions of autism may may seem they have a different view of the world, the Autism spectrum is very very broad. Please do not make sweeping generalisations like this. Each Autistic case is different.

  • @The69Goose I don't need someone lecturing about my own condition. And I'm just trying to say there are a lot of stereotypes about autism, and people seem to think we all have social anxiety and can't function in society.Granted, cases like that do exist, but people often make it sound like it's some sort of horrible disease. My Asperger's actually helps me in school, and people need to be aware that lighter cases exist too.My friends wouldn't believe me when I first told them I have autism.

  • Not offensive, more unique way of saying them.

  • @bluefalcon1023 "saying them"? -_-

  • @bltsdsubbie I think it is a way off expressing thing, its inspirinng, nothing more.

  • @bluefalcon1023 I honestly have not the faintest idea what you're talking about.

  • @bltsdsubbie we just wonder why don't you want to communicate with us

  • @dinonemesis Who says I don't?I happen to love talking to other people Even if multiple people have the same condition, they are still individuals, which means they all have different personalities, preferences and ways to deal with their condition.About two years ago, some of my friends at school jokingly asked what's wrong with me, because I see things differently. When I told them I have Asperger's, they didn't believe me until I showed them my diagnosis. With others, it's obvious.

  • @bltsdsubbie i don't see how people think your different, you act normal right?

  • @dinonemesis That's the thing. There are endless varieties (spelling?) and degrees of autism. But yeah, I'm officialy diagnosed. BTW what exactly is the definition of 'normal'? I'm pretty random and crazy. Conversations with me can go from math to zombies in tutu's in 5 minutes tops XD. If you could borrow my brain for 10 seconds, you'd be like 'Dude, can't handle it!' -Charlie Sheen. Gotta love crazy celeb quotes!

  • @bltsdsubbie i do that with my friends, and i mean normal as in you don't go around acting like a lunatic

  • @dinonemesis In that case...I'm not normal. That's right, weird and proud! XD

Like seriously, one time we went on a school trip and I was so hyper I was annoying this one guy. He almost punched me in the face. THAT's how hyper I was lol

  • @bltsdsubbie well that seems normal to me, i know people who do that kind of stuff just for the heck of it

  • @dinonemesis Yeah, I just like annoying people...one of my many guilty pleasures =) I kind of weird out my friends sometimes, but that's okay. They know I don't mean it in a bad way. Why do we judge others based on our own perceptions. Sometimes I see comments here on YouTube and I'm like "People! Why can't we stop hating and start loooving?". OK, enough with off-topic cheesyness. I get distracted LOL. But my behaviour is often not considered very "ladylike". XD

  • @bltsdsubbie totally agree with you, like why hate, when love makes the world a better place, i usually make weird faces around my friends, and walk with my legs bended to the sides just for fun, yeah i know it's weird, but i don't like to be the dull regular person

  • @dinonemesis Amen! I'd give you a high five, but ya know...internet ._. *virtual imaginary five!*

  • @bltsdsubbie *o/\o* high five

  • Step 13: pay. Alot.

  • Thanks for your helpfull videos. I like them so much, and they are very good explained. I send some to my family! :)

  • I have autism and it took 4 hospitals to say so! Then my parents took me to children's mercy when I was 7 and they said I had it am 14 now and it becomes easier to deal with each year alotta people think am normal

  • smell is another thing a child with autism that they are sensitive too, my brother can smell my hair across the room- 1, i wash every day (i am clean) and 2, i know, its weird.

  • Yeeaah, the gluten-free, casien-free diet ain't happnin' with my nieghbor. She loves to bake!

  • what is with the music?

  • i think i have autism i dont know

  • Step 1:

Accept your child has autism and love them for the rest of their life.

  • The music makes me cry

  • Gluten-free, casein-free diet has actually not been shown to be helpful in autism. It hasn't been shown to hurt either.

  • Oh wow, I live with Aspergers Syndrome, and I know about it in a bit of depth but I didn't know that diet changes would be beneficial to children with autism.

  • @eliotraincloud They probably aren't, actually. Research hasn't shown that they are.

  • Whoever can discover the cure for Autism will become an instant billionaire, I guarantee it!!!

  • Here's how I'm planning to help those with Autism. I have Asperger Syndrome, hence my screenname. Yet I'm going to take it as an advantage and hopefully major in Occupational Therapy in the Pediatric field. Aspergers helps me to better understand these children because I know what it's like to be different and need extra help here and there, so I'm not going to take it as a road block, but as a door (Quoting Temple Grandin) and go through it and lead me to a path of oppertunity =D

  • @AnimeAspieFanatic I feel the same. I'm thinking of doing something to help autistic kids (possibly an SNA). I recently did work placement at a school with a section dedicated to helping autistic kids. It wasn't easy but it was very rewarding. Maybe I can be an advocate for autism.

  • 2:40 teacch ... kinda ironic if u ask me

  • @multisnootyundead You heartless bastard.

And I mean that in the nicest way poss- what am I saying? Go stand in a bonfire; my brother has autism and he's loved by almost everyone I know. Why the fuck would you think something like that?

  • @imissrose123 high-five for you imissrose123!! My baby girl is loved and adored by everyone who knows her.

  • My brother has autism and he has PECS. :)

  • @imissrose123 PECS are great!

  • Wait a minute I started school when I was 3, I never really talk, and tend to throw some tantrums

    DO I HAVE AUTSIM!!!!!!???????!!!!!

  • @CelinaIam that might be up to circumstances or your personality; if you COULD perfectly well talk all the time if you wanted to and just end up feeling quiet and/or shy it's possibly just down to your personality; I wouldn't know because I'm not you.

Try going to a doctor if you're really concerned you might have autism or something similar

  • @imissrose123 ok thank you :)

  • Check my page for Gluten Free and Casein Free school Lunch ideas :)

  • or they could have ADHD

  • my little brother eats all four things that the diet says to stay away from and he is perfectly normal he only throws fits do to his puperdy and not getting his way

  • What a load of rubbish. No gluten, no dairy. So are all the autistic children who cut out these food groups miraculously cured? I can't believe this is listed BEFORE SALT, ABA and PECS.

  • @MadamCh0let I agree. This is so ignorant!

  • @MadamCh0let I agree! My brother did the no gluten etc diet when he was about 6 or 7, he's now 10 and his autism has arguably gotten very slightly worse. So no, it does NOT immediatey cure it.

  • Hay quá

  • Current research in ABA advocates the use of Incidental Teaching, which teaches sensory integration, verbal behavior, and skills across all developmental domains in a natural setting. It incorporates all of the treatments in this film, but takes extensive data to ensure learning is occurring. The most important thing is that intervention focuses on the development of social-communication skills.

  • @multisnootyundead Hahahahahaahaha thats so funny! No

  • @multisnootyundead: wtf? and you base your assumption on what school of thought? My son is autistic . . . I don't hate you for your ignorant comment, you obviously are either looking for attention, are uneducated, or you are just a heartless person. I feel sad for you.

  • @garbgegal77 you are soo right my older brothher has autism but to me he is like a normal human being hes just different from others people think he is wierd but i dont think so. my brother doesnt like rides and he eats the same food everyday but he is starting to like kole slaw lol but yeah he also loves sesame street and he is really good at memorizing movies and tv shows. i love him to death though

  • im autistick and milk realy sends my stomarch bad but i still drink it

  • I'm autistic and I have a college level reading GPA but only know 1st grade math

  • A diet for autism? Never heard of it and Im autistic

  • @Ch40sW4rl0ck I heard about it late as well, but then I was also diagnosed with Aspergers late. Research is showing it helps with children, but also something that tends to come alongside with autism is wheat and dairy allergies that will make any age person get sick more often, have a lot more stomach problems, and generally feel more "down." I'm on the no wheat/dairy diet and I'll stay on it because it seriously does help.

  • @Ch40sW4rl0ck I've heard of it and it's my brother that's autistic not me; I guess it might not've been suggested to you or made clear to you. But just know that it doesn't always help. My brother went on it for a while but all it did was cause problems. It was very hard sometimes to find gluten free meals, and it didn't help him personally either.

  • I was diagnosed with moderate autism when younger. Thanks to intensive therapy they changed it to aspergers syndrome. I recommend these for an autistic child. I love, love science and technology. I am looking into how to make an organic computer that can help make artificial genes, biodegradable electronics, etc. I am only a teen right now, but I go to a university so I can hopefully do these things. Good luck to those parents who struggle with the unique challenges of autism.

  • I think the gluten-free/casein-free diet theories are overreaching and often misapplied. My son (Asperger's syndrome) did have some intestinal issues in early childhood, but after a year of intensively on the GFCF diet, showed only moderate improvement, which was probably more due to significant parental involvement, occupational therapy, speech therapy and lots of structured educational play. Returned him to eating gluten/casein without incident. He continues to improve.

  • My son was dx'd with autism at age 3. We gave it everything we had (and still do), the Diet, certain supplements, therapy, special preK, autism club, everything. He just turned five a few months back and has started regular Kindergarten with his neuro-typical twin. No classroom aide or anything. He still has a way to go, but I know he's gonna make it. He's my tough guy :-).

  • I don't have Autism and nobody likes me because I have long hair and I wear glasses and I'm a boy and I always follow the rules. Fing aholes.

  • @gab9hp fuck them then

  • @gab9hp poor you :(

  • i have Asperger and i suck at school and have 3 frends :(

  • i have cdo well not really but they are all in alphabetical order as things should be

  • Sure some tips could be helpful.... but plz keep an eye on what 'shcool' does to your kids. Special needs kids are prone to abuse because they might not know it is wrong plus they might not be able to communicate what is going on... Put a 3 year old autie in strangers' hands? Not sure that is good...

  • I have Autism But I dont Care

  • @dagsi1000 me too!

  • @dagsi1000 I don't have Autism, but I have a few kids in my school with Autism. I don't know why they made this video. It's just saying you don't accept your child for who they are. That seems pretty low to me.

  • @HotNarwhal I know! My cousin has autism and she is the funniest happiest person I know! She is so great with animals and can name the land before time movie backwords :)

  • @dagsi1000 Why not? Because you're high functioning?

  • @dagsi1000

Speak the truth, mah fellow autistic friend~!

  • urgh autistic kids are hard work!

  • @MalonsMilk True. So are most kids though.

  • I do think diet is the key thing with autism. They are forgetting staying hydrated though. I have aspergers and I always feel more normal when hydrated.

  • @Falconhawk123 dont worry, i drink watter everyday.

  • i auctually wanted to search this video up.

i have a gluten free, dairy free diet. yet i'm 14. plus, i have autism. but i seem so normal. these kind of vids just r helpfull for children in the word who have autism, i may be a sonic fan and everything, but that doesnt mean i dont care about autism or don't have it.

  • @79rocki

    Chris Chan 2.0

  • @11pouncey11 I feel you. I hated going to speech and occupational therapy. the latter was the worst therapy. Ms. Knox was mean to me, but I LOVED academic services, so I got pulled out of class a lot as a child. I had several habits from facepicking, and nailbiting (I broke this habit at 12). At junior high, my school had a sensory room where you can cool down when you become raged. It helped me.

  • @educationiskeyful my dad used to work with children with special needs in St.. Louis

  • @11pouncey11 I have Aspberger Syndrome but I was like a hot potato for my pediatricians. They thought i had ADHD/ADD. It turns out that I have Aspberger Syndrome (I was diagnosed with Aspbergers at 11).

  • @IceChateau777: Heh, quite the opposite for me; they thought I was an 'Aspie' but I actually had ADD instead.............oh boy! 13 years of my life pretty much wasted because of their mistake :-(.

  • i am autism and dyspraxia, my thepist was bad, she dinosed me, then left mum to handle me.

the one thing that frustrates me with my autism, i can not seem to understand when someone is happy or angry with me.then if i think they are angry, i feel like crying.

  • Well, I'm not trying to gloat but I am very graceful that my niece does not have these needs. I love her very much. She was born very alert, looking at you when you talk or hold her. She's beautiful but I'm not saying autistic children aren't. I really want to be a therapist for children with these special needs :)

  • About step 11, enrolling the kid in school, I got nothing but flaws in the system when I was a kid; other kids pushed me around and the school administration betrayed me, taking THEIR side. The principals of the middle/high school paid the price, though; the principal was fired and the assistant principal retired early. It's too little too late for ME, though. If you HAVE to enroll your kid in school, look at it and the kids, teachers, and principals for weeks at a time, not days, WEEKS.

  • Dang it, why do people keep down rating autistic kids and people? Most of the time people who have it get ignored, tortured, or pranked. And I DO have a sense of humor, but I think autistic kids are just like typical kids. They just have different ways of showing it. Sometimes when I talk about my interests to other people, they just say really? you like that? and they give me a look that shatters me into a million pieces. But I guess that's just how some people are.

  • @skittlesareawesome07 I agree. Anyone who thinks badly about people fighting autism needs to be taught a lesson. It's hard and every time I got back something that autism took away, it was taken away again by another disorder, but I always got it back. Fighting isn't a matter of strength; it's a matter of logic. If we don't fight, we'll wonder what might've been, what else we might've done, & we won't have answers. If there's a way to win and we keep fighting long enough, we'll find it.
