Yes I agree with what you're saying. I've always said I preferred travelling in 74 business than 77 first. I once infact opted to travel upstairs on a 74 instead of first... it's kinda cosy.

Your assessment is interesting. The FC cabin on a 747 definitely looks and feels more spacious and exclusive than that of a 777. "Far inferior" seems a bit harsh though!

I consider the FC cabin of a 777 more private and quieter than its business cabin,or the downstairs business cabin on the 747.

Given the choice of FC on a 777 or business in the upper deck of a 747 - I'd probably opt for business. Only 20 seats (2+2 across) in the upper deck.
