can u help me out, my Malayan box turtle escaped from my backyard and it was gone for a month then one morning i find on the driveway dehydrated and w/ shell rot. any suggestions?
You probably need to make some calls and find out if their is an exotic vet nearby. Some pet stores sell stuff for shell rot or you can order it online.
Get him in some water and check up on him all the time.
And in the future don't leave him unattended unless he is in an escape proof place

How warm is your tank? You need to provide a warm basking spot in the 80's and a uvb bulb. What do you feed yours mostly? Mines' diet mainly consists of the petstore aquatic food with various veggies/fruits/fish added on occasion.
Outside of this, you ought to take it to a vet. Turtles can survive inadequate conditions for years without showing side affects.

Normally they eat the aquatic turtle pellets that you get from the pet store or even walmart. I also give them different fruits and vegetables from time to time.
can they be kept in an a turtle tub?

@monitorlover1 Certainly as long as you get a big enough one. They prefer shallower water so such a set up is ideal.
