In Air Power and budget, USA still leads the top 4. But in Air Power EU is second largest, bigger than China or Russia.

Well trained submarine crew can take down an aircraft carrier with a modern attack submarine, even though they would be taken down by escort ships shortly after. Battleships were bigger than Type 45 destroyer, but guess who'd win? Size doesn't make you better.

As for Prince of Wales, the Defence Review of British MoD stated that britain will maintain two aircraft carriers in future: Queen Elizabeth for one as the flagship, and Prince of Wales in the state of "active readiness". So Royal Navy will keep them alright, in addition to HMS Ocean.
Better yet, add the two ships of BAE UXV Combatant (UCAV Carrier) class to the equation.

A completely different concept, which is independent over the actual state model - it simply refers to a unified federal state comprised of more or less autonomous member states, that, while having their own governments, are being ruled from federal capital gov. It also has unified military and police force.
Federations can or can not be democratic, I mean, Germany was federation, United Kingdom was, United States is, Canada is, etc...

EU leaders are f.e heads of state and prime ministers of member states, elected by people in their countries. EU Parliament is elected every five years by EU citizens and no one else. The power is in the hands of european people.

But the side that wanted federation and union won in US Civil War, and made a superpower out of then poor, non influential country. If confederacy had won, USA wouldn't be the powerful country it is today.

I say if Europe was to be a Federation we could instal a code of behavior to limit the Islam in Europe. If some Islamist goes against the code of behavior, we will simply have to send them back to their Islamic countries. Those are my ideas for the future Europe, I know we are far from it, but instead of turning down the idea of a united Europe, why don't we make it work our way?

Yes we have a lot of economic problems in Greece, Ireland and Portugal, but that does not have anything to do with communism. During the Great Depression, we did not call the US a communist state. We have economic, immigration and drug problems today in the EU. But aside from those problems, it could be worst if we weren't united. If we were not united now, then we would live in continuous discords, some countries would already by under islamist control, some dictators would still be in power, and wars would be very common. EU would have (and after Treaty of Lisbon, potentially already has) world's largest navy. It is bigger than USN, though not by much. Regarding active service personnel, EU military has more soldiers in it's disposal than US has, second only to the manpower of China.
In Air Power and budget, USA still leads the top 4. But in Air Power EU is second largest, bigger than China or Russia.

Well trained submarine crew can take down an aircraft carrier with a modern attack submarine, even though they would be taken down by escort ships shortly after. Battleships were bigger than Type 45 destroyer, but guess who'd win? Size doesn't make you better.
EF200, Rafale and many others are capable fighters.

As for Prince of Wales, the Defence Review of British MoD stated that britain will maintain two aircraft carriers in future: Queen Elizabeth for one as the flagship, and Prince of Wales in the state of "active readiness". So Royal Navy will keep them alright, in addition to HMS Ocean.
Better yet, add the two ships of BAE UXV Combatant (UCAV Carrier) class to the equation.

A completely different concept, which is independent over the actual state model - it simply refers to a unified federal state comprised of more or less autonomous member states, that, while having their own governments, are being ruled from federal capital gov. It also has unified military and police force.
Federations can or can not be democratic, I mean, Germany was federation, United Kingdom was, United States is, Canada is, etc...

EU leaders are f.e heads of state and prime ministers of member states, elected by people in their countries. EU Parliament is elected every five years by EU citizens and no one else. The power is in the hands of european people.

But the side that wanted federation and union won in US Civil War, and made a superpower out of then poor, non influential country. If confederacy had won, USA wouldn't be the powerful country it is today.
Same goes with EU. Should there be a war, federalists will be the ones building greater Europe, nationalists will be those keeping us wandering in darkness and never-ending wars.
