I've got 1 episode, courtesy of a kind gentleman; it was great to see it again, I wish the whole series would be released on DVD! I wish I could remember more about the other episodes. I think the King should have married Sheena the lioness cheerleader; did that ever happen?
Back in those days people were still concerned about children going braindead from watching cartoons, so they would try to bore children to sleep before the show started.
Takes me back about 30 years! It's hard to find people who remember Heyyy, it's the King! I described it to a friend at university, I remembered the lioness and ostrich cheerleaders, and he said "Are you sure you're not thinking of Bedknobs & Broomsticks?" HITK was much better than B&B!
I...was kinda little when they first aired this show in my country, the show was in air for a pretty short period and since i haven´t seen it for almost 27 yrs...
unfortunately it is very hard to locate original title sequences after the shows are altered into another format....that's why so many dvd sets have the wrong tiles (or none at all) because the people putting them together don't have a clue about what they should be using.
I know "Undercover Elephant" segments were reran in 1982-1984 during the last years of Captain Kangaroo on CBS (when the show was dropped from weekdays and moved to weekends) and later in the 1990's on Disney Channel's "Jump, Rattle, and Roll" show.
I didn't know that "Heyyy, It's the King!" was spun off into its own series and also including the "Undercover Elephant" and "Shake, Rattle and Roll" segments as part of it. Would you happen to have the closing credits for this?
C.B. Bears, on the other hand, besides its own title segments, also retained the "Posse Impossible" and "Blast-Off Buzzard" segments for its 1/2-hour incarnation.

Unless someone with a Beta recorder recorded NBC Saturday Morning in Fall 1977.

Unless they plan to air it on the Boomerang Network. No one has any of those segment episodes on this site.

I didn't know reruns of Undercover Elephant also aired on the Captain Kangaroo show!

The 1982-1984 Captain Kangaroo episodes on CBS weekends also aired reruns of Hanna-Barbera cartoons "C.B. Bears" and "Motormouse and Autocat".

Cartoon Network and Boomerang never aired Undercover Elephant and Shake Rattle and Roll, I guess.
The 6 CB Bears cartoon segments that made up the full hour on NBC in 1977 were later repackaged into "Go Go Globetrotters",=.
heine71 3 years ago
Well, you never know these days, they just might... however, I do remember catching a few "Heyyy..." segments by themselves on the old CN.
