So why can't we compare Floor and Tarja? They both sing in metal bands; they're both sopranos and use classical elements in their singing.

You know, what struck me when listening to After Forever covering NW was how similar Floor and Tarja sound. Or at least how similar Floor sounds live to the way Tarja sounds on NW ALBUMS lol.

As for Tarja v Floor, I used to be a HUGE Tarja fan; and I'm strongly biased towards her since I like NW a lot more than AF; but after listening to Floor a while I still think she's the better vocalist.

And live, she sounds OK even on her bad days (which Tarja does not), and her stage presence is on a whole different level.

But it IS a question of taste I guess.

I do prefer the live versions for "Dead Boy's Poem" and "Come Cover Me", but for the other songs the studio versions are much better. At least, she sings them higher in the studio and she's not out of breath.
