  • its longboard or your feet are small???

  • @patinetoso haha 7.5 size shoes, it is not a longboard

  • Do u recommend this pedal over cobras or dw 5000s

  • @ricardoieci I tested the Iron Cobra and it felt heavy for me. I had a DW 5002 pedal and I also felt it heavy, I switched to the Gibraltar and I instantly felt that it is a lighter feel pedal. I think you have to test them all so you can give your opinion, it is very personal so I really can't say that this pedal is better, just different, all those companies make great products.

  • Da hr Dodo!

  • @gelebraz Thanks, Mr. Sound Creation!

  • Thanks for response, nice playing man!!! 10 stars!

  • @Slaty123 You're welcome! Thanks!!

  • This is Slide Technique???

  • @Slaty123 Hi, there are some different techniques here, I may use the "slide technique" when I play fast doubles.

  • wow. . i might upgrade to direct drive pedal soon ..

  • @skah07 I'll do it too, I'm back to a chain drive pedal, the Pearl P900.

  • @1982Rafael y?

  • @skah07 I'm now endorsed by Pearl. I'll upgrade my P900 to a Demon Drive, which is a lighter/faster pedal.

  • @1982Rafael really? .. do you have a band?

  • @skah07 Yes I do! I'm playing with a band called Quebra-Cabeça. We mix Rock with Brazilian music. My dad was a drummer and he used to do the same in the 70's with a band called Novos Baianos. Please check my band's Facebook page at:

    facebook.com / bandaquebracabeca

    Thanks! Take care,

    Rafael Dolinski

  • Recently bought a Gibraltar crash stand and the guy in the shop said they came from the same factory as DW stands and sure enough a lot of the fittings are exactly the same as my DW stand but for less than half the price. Really good value gear. Great drumming by the way.

  • @boo0703 I really don't know about that... Both companies offer great hardware products, I prefer Pearl's. Thank you! Happy Holidays!

  • so are these pedals great for fast double bass?

  • @tubamaniac99 I never tried the double bass version and I don't play double bass, so I can't tell, sorry...

  • @1982Rafael alrighty im getting them in a few weeks.but thanks anyways!

  • @tubamaniac99 That's cool! Tell me what you think about them when you play it!

  • @1982Rafael alrighty and i might put an actual review on them.

  • @tubamaniac99 Cool! Let me know!

  • So, Anyone has tried these pedals with both strap drive and direct d.??

  • @julesickdrums I recently played the chain version and it is a nice pedal.

  • haha master

  • How long did you have this pedal?

  • @dpdrums78 6 months

  • How much do u tight your springs?

  • @ricardoieci Very loose. I prefer the lighter feel.

  • The bass drum goes... FAP FAP FAP haha

  • thinking of getting one after years of using DW pearl, and tama..how stable is this pedal in terms of mechanism, hardware adjustability, and smoothness and fluidity? ..your opinion would make my decision a little easier..i will however try it out for myself, regardless ...great drumming and foot work , by the way !

  • @blica1 Thanks for your comments!! I switched to Pearl recently but I can give you my impressions about Gibraltar's DD. It is a great pedal, very simple, direct drive link, very responsive to your foot. I was pretty happy with it and as you can see in this video, it made my work easier. There are other DD pedals in the market, some are a bit lighter that the Gibraltar but I think you must test all the pedals before buying. Which pedal are you using now?

  • @1982Rafael thanks for your reply ..i'm currently using the pearl eliminator with belt drive which i find is a lot quicker on the uptake than the chain, which is why i think like the direct drive might be intersting ..i tried the new yamaha and it was amazing for it's function and price..but i think i still might try the gibraltar..i know they're close in price terms, so it's just a matter of personal feel..are you using the demon drive from pearl now ? i tried it out and found too light !

  • @blica1 I'm using the P900 from Pearl, the entry-level pedal. It came with my Pearl Vision kit. I'm still getting used to it but I can play everything I used to play with my Gibraltar (it is a bit harder to play some fast stuff). The Demon Drive is the best pedal I ever played. That light feel is what I'm looking for. I used to play with a Pearl P100 and an old Yamaha pedal (the model before Flying Dragon). That Yamaha still is the best pedal for me. Try the Gibraltar, I think you'll like it!

  • but i also want pearl DD

  • how bout axis

  • @narutoop1 I can't really give you a review on Axis pedals because I played them only once with a bass drum pad. I thought that the DD is lighter and faster (more responsive).

  • @1982Rafael Ok Thanks man, i will buy DD when i collected enough cash

  • Awesome demo! We're enjoying your videos!

  • @GibraltarDIY Hey! Thanks guys, Gibraltar have amazing products, I'm very happy to use them!

  • i have the same short, see my video hahahah

awesome playing and pedal! wow direct drive =o

  • @Maitzeth LOL! That's good taste, my friend! Thanks!

  • Massive and progressive pedaling, it's awesome! There's each story in that playing, great.

  • @ToshieloAMG Thank you!!

  • Wooooooooooow! I bought a similar Gibraltar pedal from 6611 series with double chain today and it's great! But I think that this is even better! Btw, awesome skills!

  • @Paiste013 Thanks! The Gibraltar pedals are great, I love mine.

  • do you think the direct drive is much more responsive than the spring?

  • @zacheryds You mean chain? I prefer the direct drive, it is a bit more responsive

  • @1982Rafael oh yeah sorry that is what i meant, i am getting a gibraltar double bass pedal and cant decide on what to get. what is better the direct drive or the strap on. the strap on is made out of kevlar material or something like that, but it says that there is not resistance. its like playing air i guess. could you help me decide.

  • @zacheryds I have tested the chain version and I didn't like it, the strap drive version I haven't tested yet so I can't really give you a review about it. It is probably something between the chain drive and the direct drive. A bit more responsive than the chain and lighter.

  • @zacheryds seriously?? strap on?? hahaha its direct drive, strap drive, double chain or single chain.not strap on...

  • how do you set your tension? like loose, medium, tight?

  • @zuma5278255424 Very Loose

  • boas, o pedal vem com caixa?

  • @austrodrums Caixa?

  • WOW!!! I want this pedal... Does it come with your skillls too lol!!!

  • @airmax247 No, it doesn't but it helps with it! =)

  • @airmax247 SORRY ONE PER CUSTOMER. HAHAHA

Obrigado!

  • Great video! Love the double stroke followed by triplets at 1:29 - very groovy!

  • Loved it - Nice chops!!! And i like the foot too!!!!

  • Awesome playing, by the way! I enjoyed watching your foot chops :D

  • @LukeSnyderMusic Thanks =)

  • I've been looking at this pedal, what is your opinion of it now that you've played on it a bit?

  • @LukeSnyderMusic I had a DW5000 AD3 pedal. It is lighter than the DW and I it reacts faster too. I'm still trying different settings, there are lots of ways to change the feel (spring setting, pedal height, beater distance, the beater itself). I've only changed the beater height to what I was used to but I have to do some more testing.

I like the pedal so far, it is a nice pedal, well constructed, looks good, feels good and comes with a nice bag.
