i'm in the first wave of baby boomers. I remember when Elvis first sang It's Alright Mama; saw Jimi play, heard Janis sing. Heard all the great guitarists from 50's to now. IMO Nuno Bettencourt is the most talented of them all .... the greatest of the greatest. Of course, all music is a matter of preference for each individual. So glad I don't have to know all the tech details to appreciate. Know what I like when I see it; know what I like when I hear it. See him, hear him ..... love him.

Good guitarist. bad arrangement of song, don't think it did funk any justice. Sounds more Rock then anything. Even though Red Hot's currently playing more sell out rock-pop stuff, the funk and groove's still there and has always been since their first album Freaky Stylely. I don't feel the funk in this, Funk masters like Parliament funk, the funkedalic and Sly stone will be disappointed. For that, i give a thumbs down. Sorry fans.

Very good modern type guitar playing with color from some of the pasted Guitar gods. Like Brain Mays and Joe Perry on steroids I hear strongly just to name a few. But he really needs a good front singer. He is kinda reminds me of my friend Chris Duarte who Chris from Texas and more on the hard rock bluesy side but just as articulate as Nuno and has been paying his dues for a long time like Nuno. If you like this guy you will like Chris.

I don't think so. He can't sing very high. If you listen closely here, on the chorus, he sings "if you don't like" one octave lower. Same for more than words. Watch the version without gary cherone, nuno always goes to the second voice when he can, the keyboard player is leading because he's got a higher voice.

Anyway he still sings good.

Not one octave lower, but must of the time, Nuno will harmonize with Gray a Major/minor 3rd below what the note he sings most of the time, More than Words is a example of this :).

I know it but nuno can't sing as high as Gary and he can't sing Gary's notes in more than words. I know what I'm talking about because I've got almost the same range of voice than Nuno. He can still use falsetto to sing higher but it sucks compared to chest voice.

Here in get the funk out at the chorus, he sings "if you don't like" one octave lower. And I have never seen him singing decadence dance. Anyway, I'm not saying he sings bad. He sings good. But not very high, and can't sing all extreme songs. (PS : I'm not speaking about harmonizing, I'm speaking about singing the first voice)

For the last 15 years Nuno has been one of my fav modern guitarists. He was great with Extreme and his voice IMO was even better than Gary Cherone who was Etreme's lead singer. This guy has it all as a guitarist, great tone, incredible chops, emotional playing, superb phrasing, mechanics galore and total command of the instrument. His musical hero of all guitarists has always Brian May...since Nuno's teen years when he began playing. The man has talent..and good musical taste! In Korea here!

It is the N6. If you look closely, it has an L500 Bill Lawrence Bridge pickup compared to the N5 which uses a Duncan Single Coil Bridge pickup. Also, only the N6 has that color. :)
