however, in a selfdefence situation its not very likely your opponent is standing 10 metres away from you so you can start running and then do the jumpkick, is it?!
Who said they were self-defence techniques? Some people do it for the sport of it, the athleticism. TKD isn't exactly marketed as an effective, realistic self-defence method.
not bad but definatly work on those guards while kicking or else ur vonerable, these kicks can be used in the real word remember that

where do you keep your hands while kicking? in kumite it's vital to know where they are^^

thanks for the comment, most of these techniques wouldnt be used in sparring/kumite, just demo stuff.

ah right.. i just got my green belt and the flying side kick is pretty easy but i find it hard to keep my other leg up. i'm practising that though =)

cookiecrisppoop: he clearly missed the middle of the board, he kicked the other guys hand.
could u do that , break the board i mean, with a flying side kick ? if so .. proove it :)
J04NN3T 3 years ago
the one at 24 seconds should throw out a side kick on the non kicking leg to make it a flying side/backside kick.
thats my break ;D. its harder than just throwing up the leg without anything to break against

Although, it can be used as such if used correctly. Check out Serkan Yilmaz. He does TKD.
