The ugly truth to these incidents is that the worst this guy most likely got was losing his job. You'd think a federal offence would land you in federal prison. But nope not these clowns. I had a supervisor arrested by OIG agents for stealing colored envelopes. He served one day in jail, paid a fine and lost his job. Yeah, that'll really scare postal employees from stealing your mail.

hehe, now here is the new postal service. pay attention class; carrier with 20+ yrs, inspectors go to his "house" and retrieve all the mail he didnt "feel" like delivering over a period of time. inspectors "federal police" not postal employees bring charges against him. they "argue" with the "postal service" for months over his removal and charges. the postal service refuses to do anything and simply assign him to a new station. i'm a senior carrier myself, and that makes me sick!
