We often talk about changing and refocusing our mindsets. Whereas most peasants such as the coffee farmers in Nyeri have made big strides towards higher conscientisation, the Central Provincial Commissioner Kiplimo Rugut still has a lot of learning to undertake. Mr. Rugut must know that it is the goddamn right of every farmer to choose who to sell their produce to. And incidentally all the MPs in Central should have advised their Constituents to uproot all the coffee plants as early as 1998.
