  • Hi !! i from chile, and i want to know how you do with the memory, do you have an external hard drive? or everything you install in the internal memory?

  • I used the interal memory...the only problem is you sooner or later run out of memory when you install Windows updates. You should only install important updates nothing else. Hope my answer helped...if you have any other questions let me know.

  • can you please tell me how to install windows xp on my eee 4gb surf, but i don't have external dvd rom,so i have to install it from my flash disc,do you have any ideas how to do it?thanks

  • There are a variety of tutorials for that method of installation. I used an external DVD drive.

  • Why should he have left it on? i own a asus eee same spec as this and there are FAR more benefits from windows, the interface on xandros is cool but you are extremely limited to what you can install. And about 80% mac users have them because there white and look pritty thats why they put windows on it because they don't use it for what its intended for. nice vid by the way ha

  • Yea the Xandros is very limited....it isnt a bad OS...but its very basic. Thanks glad you like the video!

  • Do you have any issues with your touchpad? I was reading that people are claiming thier touchpad stops working after an hour due to heat.

  • I havent had any problems with the touch pad as of yet. My biggest issue is that Windows randomly decided to automatically install updates....so it took up all my Asus internal memory.

  • is it hard to read on a 7 in screen? is it ok to type notes on?

  • It actually isnt bad at all. I was expecting it to be hard to see, but it really isnt bad at all. Typing takes getting used to, but after you use it for a bit its really comfortable. I've typed a few documents on this laptop without any problems, I also use it for MSN and surfing the internet. It's really worth the money if your looking for a ultraportable laptop for surfing the net and taking notes.

  • where do you install Xp?

on the internal SSD or in the external SDHC?

  • I installed XP on the internal memory.

  • how did you get 2 gigs of ram on there... or is it the 2 gig version?

  • I actally replaced the ram myself...it originally had 512MB. I posted another video on how to replace the ram on the Asus. If you have any more questions feel free to ask!

  • Note that you're using a terrible operating system. :p

  • I wouldn't call it terrible, I love Windows. I havent had any trouble with Windows...I run Vista on my gaming PC and XP on this little guy. Compatible with everything and I havnt gotten any viruses. I guess everyones entitled to their opinions...I personally will never own a Mac. The price of them is ridiculous and your getting mediocre specs. Sure Windows has more viruses...but you have to look at the user base..its massive.Strange how Mac users want XP on their systems if its so terrible.

  • I could get into Mac and how much better it is than Windows, but that doesn't really matter here since we are talking about the Eee, and well, there is the 500 character limit. I will say that not many Mac users want XP though. Anyway, what I was getting at is that you should've left Xandros on it, or put a different Linux distro on.

  • sick stuff brah

  • Note that I am using the touch pad...which makes it harder to move the cursor precisly, especially while playing Starcraft.
