Whilst neil youngs version creates an aura of sadness, regret and despair. Im sure her voice could create that presence within the music, but it just doesn't in this version in my opinion.

I respect her for doing this. It is obviously a stretch from the regular pop shit that she does. She isn't Neil Young. That's like comparing apples and oranges. Something you people also fail to understand is that this is Jewel's INTERPRETATION of the song. It doesn't mean that she has to get up there and do her best Neil Young impersonation. This is how she understands the song and reflects it in her performance. So, please, give the girl a break.

I really want to erase this from my head. I never really liked Jewel in the first place, a few songs of hers I liked, but this is just a disgrace to Neil Young and it's stuck in my head!

I think her voice was too much 'listen to me I can sing' and it drowned the song out for me. It is difficult to cover early NY songs though because Neil's take is nearly always perfect. Her guitar playing was good though and I loved her leg work and definately wouldn't kick her out of bed.
