Schenker, Yngwei , Dave Maniketti, amongst others are all underrated musicians, you have to take into account that the music industry is into mass sales to sheeple.... not into selling quality music.... I mean look at the sales charts... they are selling garbage with monotonic rhythms, repetitive and superficial lyrics, no substance what so ever... and some of the lyrics are detrimental... its SAD

I hate it when people say Michael who? This German god made me what I am today through his original guitar tone, sound and feeling.

Met him again recently and he is fitter and healthier than ever before - cant wait for the Schenker Brothers Tour.

Listen to any solo by Yngwie Malmsteen....

.....Almost identical to a lot of Schenker's.

It's pretty sad that Schenker is without a doubt in the top 5 greatest rock guitarists of all time, yet not very many people even who know who he is.

All-the-while Schenker is was a HUGE influence on guys like Zakk Wylde, Randy Rhoads, Kirk Hammett, etc.

It's a shame he's so overlooked by people who say they like rock.

One of the best ever, if not the best ever!

He's number 1 in my book.

Im a huge schenker fan and malmsteen fan too.They are completely DIFFERENT Players ,Schenker if anything was influnced or got a PUSH from Y.Malm. to improve his chops(1986 on Schenkers chops improved ALOT,take 'save your self ' as perfect example.

Michael Schenker was in the Scorpions at age 16, but later Joined a band called UFO......And then in 79' after leaving UFO he formed the band in this video with Robin McAuley.

I'm only 18 years old........But I've heard enough of Michael Schenker's music to know he's a VERY underrated guitar player.

I agree with the comment on metal today, specifically it's sorry state, by poser, double-lame bands like slipknot and Korn, limp biscuit ( Fred Durst sucks cocks, lol) There's a few newer bands that uphold the tradition of shredding instead of posing. Zakk Wylde comes to mind, and in Europe they still have good metal bands. Here in America, our bands mostly pose and suck ball sacks. Personally, I like Hammerfall, and Dream Evil myself, and a bit of Iced Earth. Hate mindless headbanging.

Well I´m also 17, and my opinion is, that the 70´s and 80´s hard rock and metal music, bands just like DIO, Sabbath, MSG, Pretty Maids and so on, is the best all over the world.
