@madlovepictures; This looks like the Black Elk National Wilderness, Devils Tower is in the Bear Lodge Mountains of Wyoming, which is a little ways across the state line, virtually the same type of topography.
@SandwichesPorkchop Yeah. Even though most of the stunts he does on the show are carefully pre-planned by the crew, he can easily kill himself doing them, as you can see.
The state is pretty flat so it is covered by farming townships. Most of the states roads are laid out like a checker board and aren't far apart. The only part of the state without that format is in the black hills. But the black hills is still pretty small and has enough roads to get around and not to get lost.
i love hiking/climbing those hills with my dad. the wind with the trees rushing through them is such a relaxing sound. although it can get quite hot on a warm sunny day :)
@cybermarsactual yes and did you see the various terrain/weather, etc that Bear dealt with there ? Think it's easy to deal with then provide us with your expertise so we can compare you with Bear, Les Stroud, Cody Lundin and those with KNOW what they're talking about...
Bear Grylls over Les Stroud anyday. Les is the man, but compared to Bear...I'll take Bear. Bear is his very own stunt man. We haven't seen the like since the Crocodile Hunter (RIP).
Man this is so scripted. I have lived in SD for 22 years and there is no place you can be without there being a road about an hour away. Plus a lot of the places he was at are popular trail heads.
kk i love man vs wild, but i live in the black hills and to go through all the shit he did he would have ran in to soo much civilization and roads haha. It makes me dout the whole show is legit.
i walked 24 miles with a full rucksack, in one day, in the middle of winter, across the great plains. I'm 13 and i did it for boyscouts. boyscouts>bear gryllis
@averyw123 did you eat raw meat? did you hunt it? did you fish anything? did you build a shelter? did you build a raft and travel across the ocean? did you climb everest 3 times? did you kill a fucking octopus by biting off its face?
@averyw123 lol what a wanker, you wouldn't survive a day with Bear, you been in the SAS? you climbed mount Everest, you broke your back and still do all this shit? you might been able to walk 24 miles in one day, but try doing that every day for a week with no equipment finding your own food and making your own shelter. STFU
Thanks, I thought it was season 5. I know I could have looked on google, but I don't want to run any background/multiple programs on my computer when I'm recompiling software and patching files. Sorry, I probably confused the hell out of you.
it's just so funny to watch. the "remote" black hills... the "volatile" weather. hahaha. they should have done one where he had to drive from rapid to minneapolis in ten hours in an 88 ford tempo :D
