I think Digimon is way better: saving the world is the point of the adventure of the characters, then only the children can know about the Digital Monsters and the Digital World, and their relationship with their partners is more clear than it is in Pokemon, that's why they can have only one Digimon each.

idk why people hate digimon season 5 so much, its liek my fav season FYI im 15 years od age... i watched every single digimon episode (both subbed & dubbed) i also watched every pokemon episodes, and i have to say pokemon is better for money earning purposes, digimon concentrate WAY too mcuh on the main characters only... pokemon on the other hand has a realistic story line even though its boring... u dnt see a boxer become the world champion on his 1st time...

OTHER reasons why Digimon is better. -Has a plot -Has better characters -The monsters are more scary -More devilish, whereas Pokemon is just about NO violence and No real fighting scenes -Don't have to be trapped in little balls -Can attack whenever they want -Have more evolutions -Is funnier -Can mix together (DNA digivolving) -Have evil Digimon and not just stupid people wanting to win battles -Can even go past their mega levels to have power unimaginable See what I mean?

For me, Digimon is better because it actually has a plot and the battles are very intense. And while the Digimon are limited with their attacks, it's not repetitive like Pokemon, which is basically the same thing in every episode. Now, if you were to compare manga, I can see how Pokemon would be better. The Pokemon manga actually has a plot, the legends matter, it has descent villains and the battles aren't all about brawn but also strategy. Anyway, Digimon anime wins.
