Hey well, last season Lyle Overbay hit a homeruns that hit the top of the windows. Jim Thome hit one higher a few years back. Canseco hit one into the top deck.
those balls fly so easy, no wonder there so easy to hit homeruns with, a few hits were pop flies and they fly deep in the first row of seating tell me that aint something with the ball
dude if you look like you know nothing abouyt baseball how the hell your supposed to hit a softball with a wooden bat?you will barely pass it thru infield they need softball bat.
its deff. harder to hit a softball far with a wooden bat, but this past year in NL we had to use wooden bats for softball for some reason and ive cleared a 280 fence with the wooden bat, id say close to 300 feet, but ive put the ball 350-400 a few times.

The thing is I'm 5'9'' 155 lbs and can consistently get about 2/15 out of a 300 ft field with .375 compression balls and ASA 98 MPH approved bats. Give me a loaded and shaved bat like they got with the harder core balls like theyre using and I can compete with them

yes theses guys are power hitters, but are also using altered bats and super hard core balls made to fly distance....even so hitting 12/15 great hits is talent and power. I would still like to see how far they hit with an asa on site tested bat with a 375/.40 core ball.

It's a different game and swing all together. U need alot more power raw power to hit a softball as far as a baseball. obviously u have never played it
not true watch sport science slow pitching goes alot farther than fast pitching thts why hanging curveballs get jacked these guys also have a major upside becaus they cast and swing way up at everything
its true. the curveball does go farther cuz its already got the back spin you want for when it comes off your bat. ever notice how when you lay into a curveball it just carrys?
don't be fooled. the average MLB player could use these bats and balls and hit it just as far if not farther. these guys are just brandname people with a logo, thats about it. not very impressive with their mechanics at the plate. good job hitting a big yellow ball picthed 5 mph though.
I don't think you noticed that i was giving them credit for hitting them that far, which boggles my mind seeing that MLB hitters don't hit baseballs that far. As far as hitting a softball, doesn't take a lot of talent, unless Jennie Finch was hurling it at you.
