@Oxyphilate G'day , yep that can happen , the way our coach taught us to catch was with sponge balls he dipped in a bucket of water, if we didn't give with the ball when we caught it then we got wet !!! , of course during an Australian Summer there were quite a few times we caught it with hard hands on purpose, just to get wet because it was so hot. Another person i hard from was taught by there coach to catch raw eggs...could you imagine the mess ??? but the key is SOFT HANDS.
