Hi Chris, very good playing mate, keep it up. You have had your Suhr for a while now and it sounds and looks great. I also like your PRS. Which guitar is your current favourite. Cheers for now.
@guitarsandme Current favorite for the music I'm making right now is the Suhr. It does the mid-gain thing beautifully and has amazing clarity through darker amps. The PRS is smooth for leads and raw for rhythms and I like that too. It's a keeper, but not entirely what I hear in my head at the moment.
hey man i love the way you play and i am have a PRS custom 22 on lay by :D im 17 with no money thats why :P hahah im wondering if you have any tips on how to properly do chromatic soloing if you could give any pointers thanks!
Chris right up there with the top guitarists. Why compare? They all have different styles and something to contribute. Chris is unique and phenomenal on the guitar!
You sound fantastic. Besides C Dorian and Blues Pentatonic scales and harmonic minor... are there other things you use? Just phenomenal!!!. You, Marco and Guthrie are my top 3!!!
Yes, Australia has produced some absolutely incredible guitarists including Garsed and Gambale. This guy is another monster. Like the others I have mentioned, he wins because he is a musician, not just a technician - which is no doubt the reason he appreciates Larry Carlton! Fabulous!
Fantastic play and feel, I love your phrasing and adventurous approach routed in the Blues and Jazz, I hear diverse influences but they're assimilated in a very natural way and the main thing has become an adventurous, personal and very expressive style, you're a great Musician, pleased to listen to you, greetings from Holland,Victor.
Good lord man, this is awesome. I've watched this video about 5 times today alone; I aspire to one day be able to solo over a track like this the way you do. Very complex and entertaining.
Your picking technique is very interesting. Reminds me of a video of Eric Johnson where he talked about 'circle picking'; is that similar to what you're doing here? It looks completely effortless.
Thanks mate! Nothing circular going on though I see why it looks that way. I barely move my wrist when going from string to string, as if my arm is nailed to the guitar and I can only move what I need to.
changes a bit... mainly C minor and other modes of Eb maj as the chords dictate, and some C dorian, mixed with whatever passing tones and whatnot work.
Good chops but your outside playing is not in. I think your phrasing is too much like rock for this type of track but I saw some of your other stuff and it's definitely good.
Nice phrasing man, effortless playing. Tone is a bit muddy and indistinct, and outside playing a bit hesitant at times. Still great to hear you go down the fusion road more often :) WOuld like to see more impro's by you, you're packing alot of good lines!
which scale is it?

@Ins4n3Guit4rist I find that jamming the chords gives one a better idea of what melodies to play. See if that helps.
