  • My washing machine does not spin to wash, but will spin to rinse clothes. What do you think the reason is? Could it be the coupler or something else be doing this? Please help. Thank you.

  • @amithp013 So, does the washer agitate? If it does it is not your coupler.

  • dude you are awesome. I found the problem to my washer and got it fixed.

  • @Agentd00m Glad to help :)

  • And I just got mine done. Thank you so very much was more easy then i would have thought. Took about 45mins most of that time was finding the right tools lol. Got parts for about $15 :D

  • Yeah, I got it. Thanks!

  • @soulflypw excellent, glad the video helped. All the best, Kevin

  • Thx. You saved my butt and my sanity. Great help.

  • @bigtizzo Glad to help :) All the best, Kevin

  • Thanks for the help. I took it all apart once and couldn't find the coupler. I should have watched it first. Big help. Keep it up!

  • @brewz1000 Your welcome glad the training video helped you. All the best, Kevin

  • Well I know what I'm doing Saturday lol

  • I paid $200 CAD from a Sears repairman to fix it. It took him 1 hour. Is that how much I am suppose to pay?

  • @666mathew Hi Mathew, you may want to shop around next time and ask how much it would cost for the repair. Prices do vary so it does pay to shop around. All the best, Kevin

  • Thanks Kevin! You video help me and my son fix our wash machine tonight. Wash machine works, which means the wife will stop complaining :)

  • @Papabear9402 That is great! Glad to help!

  • Thanks a lot for spending your time on this video. Saved me money and lots of time.

  • Washer just started making noise today and I noticed laundry was very wet. Tried to run it through another spin and nothing happened. Looked at several other videos and yours is the only one that resembles our washer. One question though, we discovered a belt above the transmission that doesn't seem to do anything, any idea what it might be for?

  • @hendrikpape Just guessing but maybe in your washer is belt drive. If so, it should loop over another pully and is what powers your washer. Looks like you might need a pro to come and give an estimate or consider a used one for replacement.

  • @hendrikpape Hey hendrik, that rubber piece you found is your sound dampener. It fits on that round metal rim that your spin tube (brake assembly) is inserted in to.

  • Did I miss something? The vid went from telling us about draining the water to all of a sudden looking at an open machine. How do we open it?

  • @Jayee123 The machine is actually laying on it's side and the view you are looking at is from the bottom of the washer.

  • Calling Sears to come and repair washer... $125.00 plus parts

Part to repair washer $23.56 with a lifetime warranty

Surfing web and finding whats wrong with instructions on how to fix.... PRICELESS!!!!

  • Hey Kev, you may know this already since the video has been up for so long, but what you call "the bottom of the agitator" is the Transmission. ;)

  • Nice job. I needed to see this. I managed to do it without removing the 3 bolts. Just the 2 clips and the hose.

  • Thanks for the video - worked like a charm. Purchased a "heavy duty" version and installed. Be warned to make sure that the coupler is all the way flush on each side or the machine will be out of alignment and wobble terribly (yes, I'm speaking from experience).

  • Thank you for taking the time to record and post this repair on "You Tube". Your video saved me time and money. For those "Do It Yourselfers", I learned that the motor coupler is relatively inexpensive...about $20. However, the labor to perform the installation while mechanically simple, it is quite involved and requires a lot of physical strength to complete. With assistance, I was able to successfully install the part and now my Kenmore washer is agitating and spinning once again. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the video! I have the same washer with the same problem so i'm off to sears to get my part!

  • @majikdragon Good luck with the repair

  • its so generous of you to take the time to do this. Seriously.

  • @womenwineandsong Your welcome :)

  • Hi, I repaired my washer like you demonstrated in the video. Spin cycle only works for a very short time and then stops. After a couple minutes the power will engage again and work for a short time. I smelled something heating up. Also when the spin stops, it stops very abruptly. I am wondering if there is a issue with the braking mechanism, or maybe the actual cylinder is now not seated properly? Also sometimes it will spin but it will make a continuous clicking sound.

  • @Alundrahs Sounds like you did not seat it properly double check everything.

  • Even though the video is kind of dark and blurry, it helped a lot for the DIYers at home. I wished I have seen this video years ago before calling Sears to repair the washer for $129+parts.

  • i dont hear any clicking while it tries to spin...i will look to see if coupler is problem. thank you.

  • Thank you so much for this excellent tutorial! I am fairly inept mechanically, but your video led me to the problem, and gave me the guidance and confidence to see the project through to completion. Instead of an expensive service call, or even the hassle and cost of an in-store repair, I got the whole thing done myself for less than twenty bucks!

  • @rmgibsontx That is excellent, once you seen it done you can see how easy that type of repair is with this training video.

  • Thanks for you help, it was a great help, we watch your video to figure what was wrong with our Kenmore 80, it was the coupler, and the part only cost us $21.95. Saved us from having a service call of $150.00, plus parts & labor!

  • @cjlucy226 That is excellent, I am glad the video helped you out. Kevin

  • gracias

  • Hello there. I have having same problem i have a kenmore 110-4685290 think thats the right model was under the lid. did you use

    Coupling Assembly

    Part Number: 285753A

    from the site you listed?

  • @Hijacked666 Hi, actually to avoid any confusion... I brought the part directly to the supplier.

  • Great video thx for the help. It was a piece of cake..

  • How awesome! I got to amaze my husband! He was so impressed ;)

  • @krs122001 That is excellent work! All the best, Kevin

  • I have an 80 Series but this still was EXTREMELY helpful, and my coupler broke the exact same way

  • It worked, thanks to you

  • You helped me diagnose mine. great vid.

  • One thing, on the Kenmore 80 series. The new parts have two raised flanges on the inside of the metal sleeve. If you want to install with no parts breakage take a needle file to the inside flanges, once again this is for the series 80 Kenmores.

  • Thank you x100! I watched your video about 15 times, to get things right. I got in there and FIXED MY WASHER!!! The sad part is, before I found your video, I have already donated about $75+ to our local laundry mat in the past two weeks. Again, THANK YOU for shairing your knowledge to us! Mama of 5, East TN

  • Thanks so much!!

  • A 10 minute repair thanks to your tutorial.

    Great job - thank you

  • @MrHomebrewz Way to go glad to know you got your washer repaired with the help of the how to video.

  • @MrHomebrewz yea same here..

  • Thanks for the video, it really helped me replace the motor coupler! Now spin actually spins again, but in spin cycle it is very woobley, an very loud... can you advise on how to stop that? Seems something is off track ... in other cycles it is smooth, but spin is loud... thanks...

  • @n2him2dend It is great to know that my how to vidoe was of help.

  • I just have to add myself to the list of people who thanks you for your service, because this video is more a social service than a how-to video. With the current economical times it is so important to be able to save big on a repair like this. My hat goes off to you.

  • Seems like a lot of people, now including me, have a lot to thank you for regarding your video. I was about ready to buy a new washer thinking I would end up spending $200 for repairs. But with your help, I bought the parts and installed myself for a fraction of that cost. May God richly bless you for your helpful service.

  • Why thank you very much, that is very kind of you to say.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Thank you sooo much for this wonderful how-to video!! I have the exact same model, and it broke down a few days ago, i checked the coupler, and sure enough it was broken. I replaced the coupler tonight, on my own, and my washer works like new again!! You saved me a small fortune!! Thanks again!! Melissa.....

  • Thank you sooo much! I know how to replace this darn piece but with the new metal sleeve it created a problem! Knowing to tap the piece fixed my instal problem and wala washer works again!!!

  • useful, but shaky as f%#k

  • Awesome - Thank you! Sears wanted $129 for the service call + parts. Almost bought a new washer yesterday, so glad I decided to check it out first.

  • Somebody needs to be this guy a socket set.

  • Thank you so much!!

I'm a single mom of two small kids. I've been without my washer for a week. I'm happy to say, I've replaced the motor coupler all by myself!! Me and the Lord, and your video that is! Thanks a bunch. (Repair person wanted $200.) The part cost less than $20. THANKS!!!

  • I am glad to help.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • video was MAGNIFICENT helped a whole alot and the coupler only cost me 20 bucks i followed u word for word. well appreciated had this machine since 1995 my mom passed it down to me and my husband. i was able to fix it myself

  • Know how i would go about looking for a video tutorial for how to fix the water spray thing? I have no idea what to look for since I'm not a Me-Kan-Ik :) Tons of Kenmore vids are on here, but I can't find any how to fix the water spray spout thing. On mine it's just trickling out on the left and right side, when there should be a full sheet of spraying water coming out as you know. Somebody told me there could be 3 filters. 2 in each hose, and 1 in the place where the water sprays out.

  • How is your current water pressure in your house do you have low flow for example in the bathroom, does the toilet take a long time to fill?

Or, maybe even easier... check the valve you turn on to provide water to the washer... perhaps it is just not open all the way.

Could be the water pump but all of these are just guesses.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Thank you so much i have the exact model as in the video. you saved me $120 bucks. I did the repair myself. Thank you so much for this video. 5/5

  • Kevin, Thank you. I repaired the coupler and it went smooth. Then I hooked it up and it won't fill the drum. The water just runs out the drain when i try to fill it up. Any suggestions?

  • Could be the washer switch is stuck, but not likely. Might be a faulty water pump sounds like a visit from a proffesional is in order. Check to see if you can get a free estimate as it might be a costly repair.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Kevin, You Just saved me 2 grand. I was about to buy a new washer and a matching dryer. I took the coupler out and It was broken. On the way to sears Hardware to see if they have the part. Thanks G.

  • Hello, excellent video very well explained!

I only ran into one issue. I left the washer on its back this week while I waited for the part and now that I have completed the coupler repair, I noticed quite a bit of motor oil has leaked out of the motor and now is filling the small ridges in the back of the front cover. Dumb mistake!!! any advise for what I should do now to get oil back in the motor case??

  • Since the oil has leaked out, you may run the risk of it running hot and even causing a fire hazard.

I would now suggest looking into a new dryer, not worth the risk... even a good second hand one from a used appliance store would be a good idea.

The cost of the time and parts for that type of repair really are not worth the effort.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Hi Kevin,

Thank you very much for posting this video. While performing this repair a pin fell out of the machine from somewhere. It is brass-looking, about 2 inches long and D-shaped with a small hole through the end. Do you have any idea where this part is supposed to go. I can't find it in the parts diagrams.

  • Perphaps you can upload a picture and post a link.

  • hey i have the exact same washer and am wondering where you buy the coupler to?

  • YEA! Very well explained! :D

    ~Cindy! :)

    ..

  • Great video thanks.

  • Thanks so much! Saved me a bundle! It was a bit of a PITA getting the assembly back together, but it was worth it in the end.

  • lol your welcome.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Thanks very Much, from Nova Scotia! Was so confident with your video, I went and purchased the part prior to flipping the washer over! Sure enough, found the coupler broken pieces under the washer....and fixed within a couple of hours. Thanks again for your vid, almost makes repairs such as this mindless! Wasn't going to bother with a repair man, so if this wasn't the prob, I was buying new...so you essentially saved me 500- 700 bucks! Cheque is in the mail...lol. Thanks again, man!

  • our Whirlpool is 19 years old and amazingly, the coupler is still going.

    oh, cool last name. :D

  • That is great!

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Kevin! Thank you so much!! Just replaced the coupler with no problems and it works like new!!

  • Excellent, I am glad it all worked out for you.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • This can be done without placing the machine on its side. Pull the cabinet off and work without moving the machine from it's current spot.

  • good video 5stars

  • me and my dad fixed our washer!!! thank you so much this really helped

  • Well im about to try to do the same thing hope i have as easy a time as you. Thanks for the video its gona help.

  • Good luck with the project.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • nevermind lol. I figured it out. Awesome video!!

  • did you gain access to the cupler from the back or from the front?

  • It was from the bottom of the washer.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Can't see anything, the video is so dark.

  • You turn up the gama and brightness on your monitor and you should be able to see it.

Sorry about it being too dark.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Hi Kevin, I've got a kenmore top load washer 1102970090. It stops abruptly after each spining is done. The whole thing shakes and even moves. It seems to affect gentle and handwash cycles. Can you please what the problem might be and what needs to be replaced, or maybe lubricated?

  • It could be the timer, as it sounds like it may not be completing the full cycle.

You should have a professional come in and give you an estimate on the cost of the repair.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • I am a 56 year old lady and was able to change this coupler with no problem It took me about an hour. I did have a service call placed just in case I screwed it up but I was able to cancel it as the machine worked great after the install. I found another site that had better pictures but your video helped me most. Thanks.

  • Kevin,

Do you repair washers and dryers for a living? You sure know how to get them running agian. Next time I buy a washer, I will watch your video and learn how easy it is to repair them.

    Rodney

  • I am an eLearning Specialist, I develop training materials that can be used online to teach people. Instead of having to go into a classroom.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • kevin, thank you. i was well on my way into an anabolic rage, because i couldn't figure out how to get the motor separated from the "agitator"

    THANK YOU AGAIN.

  • Kevin - great job by posting this video, it guided me step by step as to what i have to do to replace the coupler. You are a lifesaver. One quick note - you may want to use helogen light during video taping, to avoid the darkness, other than than everything else was just perfect.

  • is there any one who can help me out . I have a Kenmore washer half way throught the cycle the timer stops i have to reset it again im wondering if its the switch it self can any one help......

  • thank you great video..Help me out a lot to under how it works.

  • wow, thank you very much. I just ordered the part. I took the machine apart and sure enough the part was broken. I was about to take a trip to sears and buy new. Your a great man. Video could not have been better :)........~BIL~

  • I am glad the video worked out for you.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Perfect! Your video saves me a new washer machine! When it broke, my wife said "let me put my shoes on and we'll go to sears and get a new one" with a sigh. "No! I said. let me Google it" WAH LA!

    Recession buster!

    THANK YOU!

  • lol, great to know this video worked out for you.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • I've looked at countless self-help videos, and none of them were near as helpful as yours. My 90's series was set up a bit different than yours, but I was still able to figure out the steps I needed to take just by watching your video.

Thank you so much for the step by step instructions. It made things very simple. Oh.. and by the way, I'm a mother of 4 children, and if I could figure out how to replace the motor coupler, anyone can.

    Thank you again,

    M.(sugarmoon777)

  • this vid was EXACTLY what i needed. thank you SO much, eh?

  • thank you for your time and video..very helpful i was taking the wrong parts off until i saw your video... thank again...

  • Those hoses that come with any Whirlpool washer should be pitched. You should use Maytag hoses they usually takes about 20 to 40 years to burst. Don't try and search for Maytag hoses they are now with Whirlpool, the only way to find original Maytag hoses is to go to a Maytag Dealer if there is still one left in your area and if they still have any left.

Also I forgot to mention Stainless Steel braided hoses can no longer be put on washers due to a new Electrical Code that passed last August.

  • Hi TFProject,

Was the ruling for US and Canada?

    Let me know,

    Kevin

  • Thanks so much for this video! Very helpful.

  • Thank you for sharing this video!

Our 10 yr old whirlpool washer recently crapped out and we were about to have a repairman come fix it but came and on here browsing and found your helpful DIY video.....after spending $15.00 on a new coupler it is running like new again. You saved us lots of $.....you ROCK!

  • That is great! I am glad that it worked for you all the best,

    Kevin

  • Thank you all for all your kind words.

    Kevin

  • Thank you so much for taking the time to video the changing of a broken motor coupling. We had no idea what we were doing until watching your video. What a nice thing to do for other people who are less knowledgeable on these things. We really appreciate the savings you passed onto us.

  • Another dollar saved thanks to your video! THANK YOU!

  • YOU ROCK!!!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!

  • Concerning the repair on the kenmore series 90 washer. When I was removing the motor to get to the coupler an object fell down that looks like a brass nail about 2 inches long with a hole in the end, like for a couter key would fit in. The nail is also flat on one side. Any info on this before I put it back together would be appreciated. Maybe it was soemthing that was there on manufacturing? Enjoyed your video, was very helpful.

    Jim

  • Hmm... Jim, I am not sure, did everything work when you were finished?

    Kevin

  • This video is with the washer laying on its side. I found it easier to disassemble and reassemble with washer on its back. Geeat video! Thanks for your efforts.

  • Good Tip,

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Thanks for taking the time to make this video.

My 90 series stops at the spin/drain cycle, but makes no noise when you turn it on spin...leading me to believe it may not be the coupler....? I would expect to hear at least a slight hum as if it was trying to work... We'll see. Not to figure a way to drain the water and check the coupler for myself.

  • I know this was 6 months ago.. but did you ever find out what the problem was? I also have a 90 series and while It did make the click click click sound one time several weeks ago, it has not sense. BUT... today it is doing exactly what you explained above. My washer will agitate fine, but after that the basin just sits with water and the machine doesn't do anything else. Doesn't even act like it is going through the rest of the cycle. So it is full of towels and water at the moment.

  • Have you already replaced the coupler?

It is a cheap fix and the first place to start.

    Kevin

  • Thank you so much for your video! You saved me the cost of a technician and made me feel like more of a handyman! Its one thing to read about how to fix an appliance...its another to see it in pictures or video. Thank you for your generosity!

  • GREAT VIDEO!!!!

When I replaced the coupler I found oil around the gearbox for the agitator.....Can the oil be added to this unit.

I have also replaced the master cycle switch. The unit still stops on the rinse cycle.

  • It would be easier to get a new motor, I am thinking that washer might be going towards the light. lol, may need to consider a new washer as the parts and time may not be worth the effort.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • I repalced the master timing switch and then the coupler........the machine still stops at the beginning of the rinse cycle.......I found oil around the gearbox for the agitator that may have leaked out. Is there a way to put oil into this gearbox?

    GREAT VIDEO!!!!!....THANK YOU!!!!!

  • Great video Kevin, you have saved a lot of people money with this. I just want to add one thing. after installing the coupler I noticed that it was very hard to put both clamps back on. After forcing them on and putting everything back together and running the washer I noticed a burning smell. I took it apart again and tapped the two ends flush, then it was easy putting it back together. It's now running fine with no smell. It's VERY IMPORTANT that the two plastic pieces are FLUSH.

  • Great Tip!

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • I found this video to be very helpful to me and saved me quite a bit of money in repair bills. One thing that I want to add is that it is VERY IMPORTANT that when putting the new coupler back on that the plastic pieces that goes on the motor and transmission have to be FLUSH. At first I didn't do this and when putting everything back on I had to force everything back on. After running the washer I noticed a burning smell. After taking it apart and correcting it, It's now operating properly.

  • Its funny! My 90 series quit spinning yesterday and today I am researching the web for repairs. Found a couple Bob Villa vids showing nothing! I come here and you say motor coupling. I take the shroud off my washer and here, is a round rubber gasket laying on the floor with a couple pieces of plastic or ceramic laying right next to the gasket. I'm glad there are people like you here on the Tube to coach others through repairs. I'm going to get the part and keep my laptop by my side!!!! Thanks!

  • Be sure to let us know how it all works out.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • spin cycle still not working? agitator works, but spin does not. any suggestions? trans? motor capacitor?

  • Looks like a more serious repair, I just seen your comment... how did this work out...I bet it was the transmission.

    Kevin

  • LOL! Never mind! After I took apart the whole machine (long story) and replaced parts broken after the fall(off of a pickup truck), I never re-connected the door switch! It works great now!

    Feeling sheepish!

    Thanks for the help!

  • we changed the coupler and it was find for a couple of washes now i have no power it just stopped and it is full of waterm what now

  • First check your power box to see if the circuit has been tripped. I am thinking perhaps the motor but to make sure you could have a technician come and provide you with an estimate on a repair. It could even be the timer switch, it could be the switch under the lid.

Good luck and let us know how it works out.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • your the reason i love u tube i checked out my washer an seen the broken coupler before i viewed ya video, every question i had u answered, your the mann

  • that is great! more money for the holiday season all the best,

    Kevin

  • My much used machine (not too old but heavily used!) started making a clicking sound and wouldn't spin the clothes out. We felt it would need to be replaced. I had nothing to loose so I jumped on line started researching and came across your video. Found the broken coupler, got the part and now am in the process of installing. I see I may have to coax it with a few taps. Thanks for taking the time. It saved us and it made me (a 50 year old mother of 3) feel empowered! Today is a good day!

  • Oh you SO rock :) I was thinking I had to a get a new washer but followed your steps and sure enough - that little bugger was broken., Ordered a new one and paid extra so it'll be here Fri (it's Wed now) SWEET! YAY I don't have to go to a skeezy laundromat LOL THANK YOU! :) (And you're Canadian - so am I - I could tell by the "oots" before you mentioned Toronto LOL I'm in Seattle but from BC.

  • Just wanted to say thanks! After a $17 part and about a week of waiting for it to arrive, my Kenmore 80 series is back working and I didn't have to spend the 400 bucks for a new washer(probably 800 because we would have needed the matching dryer)! I appreciate the help!

  • Great to hear! All the best,

    Kevin

  • Fantastic video. Many thanks! My machine was twelve years old, and when it stopped working, my wife was picking out a new machine. Your video saved me $600. The $15 part has it working like new.

  • Your wife must be mad lol. Take her out to dinner with the money you saved.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • thank you for making this video I replace the motor coupler myself. I was going to call a repair service. You probably saved me $100 THANK YOU

  • Well you can do it that way or you can save your back by taking it apart the right way....unplugg washer..2 white plastic covers top left and right pop them off...2 phillips head screws and roll the top up and unplugg the wire harness back left..2 gold clips...the whole machine case comes off and then from the front without lifting moving or messing with water you can take the pump and motor loose and bam there is your motor coupling .....15 minutes later back together..

  • Thank you for the tips,

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Worked like a charm! Thanks to both of you- for the video and the simple removal of from the front!!!!!!

  • Holy cow, you just saved me a BIG repair bill, my man! I can't thank you enough for posting this video... I had my laptop sitting on my upended washing machine and this video pulled up full-screen, and I just followed along with each step. I am practically certain I could not have figured out for myself how to fix my Series 80 washer without this very helpful and instructive video. What would have been a pricey repair cost me only fifteen bucks for a small bag of parts!

  • Excellent, I am happy the video worked for you.

    All the best,

    KEvin

  • thanks for the viedo, it all worked great. Washer works better than it has been, one problem there is a bad rubber burning smell what would that be from?

  • I will have to suggest that you have a professional come in and check it out if you think it is serious.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • You don't think it could just be residue or could possible be that the coupling isn't fully together? Calling a professional will defeat doing the job ourselves. : )..

  • If you did not have a rubber burning smell prior to the install it could be that it is not installed properly. It also could be that some rubber pieces fell into the motor and it is burning... or if the motor is about to fail it would smell as well.

I hate to say it but you should double check your work, you might see the problem right away.

...but when in doubt call the pro to come in.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • well a while ago there were a few of the motor couplings that got into some oil at factory and with that there will be a burning smell or white smoke it will go away but keep an eye on it in case you do have a oil soaked coupling

  • you are my saviour. thank you. everything's been breaking in the house, and it's people like you that help us save money.

  • Hey glad to help and happy to know these videos are useful.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • Other then that great video thanks for the help.

  • That back clamp was a real bitch.

  • I bet it was hard to get it off! ...I am glad you got your washer working again.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • totally awesome, man.

of course, the agitator in my machine was also not spinning and, yes, I too have a kenmore 90 series...

the configuration was only slightly different from yours, but the motor and the coupler assembly was the same. perfect. I only had to remove the pieces connecting the motor to the agitator core and the pieces connecting the water pump. *and space is VERY limited..

    A++++ video..

  • You're the man! It was exactly what was wrong with my washer and thanks you to, I fixed it!!! You saved me $150. I trust the reason you put this video here on YouTube was to help others and you've done exactly that. Many thanks!

  • I am a Learning Specialist and enjoy building training materials, it is very rewarding to hear the training is being used and is helpful.

    All the best,

    Kevin

  • My washer is the same model in your video. However, my washer will not agitate or spin...would this still be the coupler or could it be something else?

  • Washing machine may not agitate or spin because...

    The coupler could be broken

    Motor could be broken

Timer switch on the machine could be broken

You could of blown a fuse in the fusebox or something else

The coupler is normally easy to identify based on a loud clicking sound, this is the coupler attempting to do it's job but slipping.

You can get a repair person to visit diagnose the problem and then decide to make the repair yourself if you have the tools and can access the parts.

  • Thanks so much - what a great video and my washer is working!!!
