To me - Kate and her piano are EVERYTHING! She doesnt need anything else whatsoever! I would love for her to create an album whether it was old material or not with just her and her piano. She really does not need a huge backing track at all. I love the simplicity of the words, lyrics, melody and sound. This is for me her BEST song ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kate REALLY REALLY REALLY ought to re-record this. It's astonishing. When I think what I was doing when I was fourteen...well, lol. Nothing like THIS. It's a crime that this brilliant song is so obscure. It deserves a revival.

@ProfessionalCynic - I agree there must be a way that we could use the internet to start a campaign to get her to just do a simple piano and voice recording of all of these wonderful tracks and release them for fans.

I can understand as an artist she may feel they do not live up to her later work but A. She would be wrong. B. Everyone would know this was the work of a 15 year old starting to find herself as an artist and would take that into consideration.

I know she claims influence from Elton John, and that makes some sense with the piano ballad thing. But even from Elton John to this is such a massive and unlikely leap.

What else can anyone suggest? Joni Mitchell? Actual elves?... I'm struggling. Who had this 15 year old heard to be making music like this? Truly a one-off!

Thanks for posting, what an ethereal and beautiful song. I am a big Kate Bush fan but had never heard this. I don't know of any other artist who has the capacity to stir emotion like Kate, a true original.

i know ,its devistating ,makes one feel desparately lonely ,which is essential ,most people do everything in avoiding ..denial..etc.Kate makes it happen and so if one doesnt move away from there,and observes ones self without judgement or condemnation that feeling transforms and purifies the entity known as the self.
