@hippobangsonthedoor naw just keep trying and your wrist will build up strength. a way to make it easier though, is if you put a capo on the 2nd fret. That way you don't need to use your pinky.

@hippobangsonthedoor i know exactly how you feel I wanted to learn every song so fast when I was just starting out.

There are finger exercises you can do when away from your guitar that'll help, like practicing lifting individual fingers without really altering the rest of your hand. Also be sure you're holding your hand correctly because it can hurt your wrist more if improper placement is being used .
