@TheBlueSStee That was a lovely thing to say, I really appreciate your comment....As a purist, that's about as kind a thing as anyone could ever say to me, thank you. Red x
You've certainly got that EC thingy down pat! Well done... and I love your tone, also. What kind of amp are you playing thru? Sounds fabulous! Thanks bunches for sharing your talent :-)
@margovallen Hi, thanks so much for your very kind words, much appreciated. On this I'm just using a small 7 watt Blackheart Devil with no effects, just as plain and pure as your lil sister, straight from the main channel...
@nomoreblo It's a bit of a cheapy guitar that I bought and my brother stripped down, customised and put back together - You're right, it's not a strat!...Well spotted..! But, I have to say, I've been very pleased with her, she plays mean slide too!
This is really a great solo. Not far away from Master Clapton himself. I think the parts played on 10:th fret and above are the best ones in this solo.
Thanks so much, Ciclo, coming from a great guitarist like you, it means a lot...Your words touch me greatly, thank you....I shall definitely try "....The Highway" some day...Thanks for the heads up on that one...Red & Out...X
nice use of the minor and lydian parts of the key of D =D. i love the sound, excellent use of the strat and blues scales. hah. great job dude. I'm diggin the tone
Thanx everyone for the kind remarks. Hi, Echoeffect. Yeah, the pups are Tex Mex - overwound and with alnico V magnets in them, which means that they are no quite as loud as Texas Specials, but they have a grittier edge to them. As for gauge, I use only 10s and 11s now, I can go no higher anymore! My fingers can't take it!...I wish you well. Hasta luego. Keep crusin' bruisin' and bluesin'....Peace, Rx
Thanks, boyz, much appreciate the comments. Thanx for noticing the nuances between my two strats too! Well put, yes, white eagle is glassier, more responsive and bell-like in the higher registers...Cheers...
I LOVE your work. I think the lick at 2:36 was so amazing haha. It made me smile. You're a sweet player. Keep playing bro. Keep the Blues alive.

You say that "milky strat sound of Mr. Clapton"....
YOU ARE WRONG.
Mr. Clapton's strat produces a sound that can only be described as 'nectar of the gods.'
WinterbornSalem 7 months ago
@WinterbornSalem easy, milk/nectar still a very desired tone from the MAN
