jedislayer you are right about Lamb of God rising legacy but I wouldnt say that they are Slayer's predecessors. I think they are more Pantera's predecessors for doing what you say the did (kicking all the shitty bands around asses out of the way. With Pantera it was grunge and rap) and because Pantera and Lamb Of God both have that groovy sound to their music.
