Ive been into Megadeth more lately been learning some of the solos and it's like this - Marty Friedman and Broderick are better guitarists than Hammett, so Megadeth's guitar work is usually better. Kirk can write some mean shit though, so it's not like Metallica is far behind in that aspect. Dave's voice sounds cool sometimes, but it's such a shallow sound compared to James. Because of this Metallica has a much fuller sound as a band. Either way theyre both baddass fuckin bands !

i think everyone should have to face up to the fact that although metallica ARE AMAZING the reason they got where they are is because they wrote the more accesible and simple music to megadeth. Megadeth write complex song structures and songs such as holy wars although being incredibly memorable and sing along-able they don't even have a verse chorus song structure at all!?!?!?!
