As a MedPed, I gotta say, no messed up adult pt has a patch on irate parents. Sorry, guys, but peds has med hospitalist beat - anytime. I rather explain a LP/intubation/central line to an adult in shock then explain a gi clean out and healthy diet to a constipated kids mom.
As the unofficial gangsta in my hospital, i.e. the only doc that listens to hip-hop and has Cube's "Today was a good day" as my ring tone, hospitalists are clearly more hard. When you pediatricians get a drunk coked out homeless dude trying to take your head off for not giving more IV morphine let more know.

As another Fellow Hospitalist . . .perhaps a bit . . . over the top? BUT very very funny. At least there was no manual disimpaction references. Gotta give the Peds Harry some credit for the ballsy gettup.
