its a phase 90 not a flanger. and if you use a phase 90 like the evh signature which i have as part of my rig your gunna wanna put it in through an effects patch on your amp or else its way to pronounced. or if u use an effects processor your gunna wanna have the guitar go to the phase 90 then to the effects processor. because in this vid you can tell that that hpase 90 is way to pronounced. he did a great job on the playing. check out my eruption on my page and tell me what u think

Yeah, You played Eruption very well... great job. I noticed your audio and video were off sync... I could help you with that. And I think I may be able to show you one part in Eruption that you may or may not be doing. And your phase 90 pedal sounded too strong... It's suppose to be at 9 o'clock... but sounded like you had it all the way up... not allowing us to hear your notes clearly. YOU did an excellent job though!

Eddie isnt the greatest, Im even a Van Halen fan, but I sure as hell would call him the greatest. he influenced people better than him. I dont mean that shredding bullshit. Have a listen to some of the guitar work from the first Enuff Z'Nuff album.

Thanks. Yes, that is a phase 90 that I have on there. EVH has a knack for tasteful effect-chain pedals and a unique way of using them...check out Atomic Punk intro off of Van Halen 1, if you haven't already.
