well my friend , i ordered 3 videos from you , the t d 20 , but i have the td 20 x , the one for the tascam neo 2488, and one for the roland juno g , i am hoping you come out with a video for the new roland spd sx as well , i am looking foward to getting these videos , because it seems you have to be a genius to understand the manuals, they have been frustrating me and this is my last resort .
Does this DVD address the machine gun issue on the TD-12? This whole kit has machine gun issues meaning a drum roll has no expressiveness, it is so dull and robotic. But straight forward beats with out rolls sound ok. However the hihat suffers from machine gun-itis during straight beats.
Hi, I have a TD12 and recently added on an Ion kit (based on alesis sr16) via midi-in on the TD-12. I can't seem to get the Ion pads to trigger seperate drum sounds on the TD-12 (rather than already in-use pad-assigned sounds). However, the Sr16's 10 buttons DO trigger different sounds. Anyone know how I can make the actually pads work like the buttons cause when I play the Ion pads I don't get the sounds I chose on the sr16 coming out of the TD-12.
Midi only sends triggers through, not any audio signal. Hence, you need to configure the TD-12 control to trigger sounds on specific inputs from your sr16.
cool video...i got that kit to...but a cheap crap doublebass pedal...when i wanna play fast, it's realy hard...it feels like hitting a wall..and not like a drumskin, like on a normal drumset...can you give some tips?
I'd say the music your playing is a bit more important than the sounds themselves. They have their place, but I could tune a drum kit in whatever wild way you're imagining and it would still sound like crap, cause i'm not too good on the set (thats a dramatic understatement). I play marching drums, tenors specifically.
Also, it was my understanding that you could record whatever sounds you wanted and assign them to the v-drums if you were so inclined.
V-drums do in fact produce sounds. It makes recording a lot easier also.
Technically drumming is all about the hand motions necessary. If you were playing everything on a practice pad you still be drumming, perhaps not in the most aesthetically pleasing way, but it'd be happening.
I could see where your argument would work if v-drums were just a few practice pads set up like a kit, but hitting them produces sound, adimittedly with the use of electronic amplifiers, but does that really matter?
The fact of the matter is, it helps you practice your drumming, and produces an amazing sound while doing so.
You'll be pretending to play drums? Give me a break. We aren't robots. You'll be playing the drums. You will be making the precise hand motions necessary to play such drum beat. Plus, when you say wanna-be drummers, I have seen professionals use electronic drum kits like the one displayed in this video, and it still blew me away.
jaylou6 at lycos dot com for roland td 12 kit for sale 1800 pound or very nearest offer. Excellent condition and still under warranty for two and a half years. Get in contact if intrested. Genuine reason for sale. ( Gettin a green sparkle bonham ludwig next) NICE.
i have a roland td 12 for sale in the uk for 1800 pound, i bought it 6 months ago for 2600, it is still in excellent condition, with two and a half years warranty left on it.
Hey did you buy the TD12?? I'm interested in an electric drumset now that i have been playing with an acustic one for quite a while. Do you think the TD12 is a good deal??
I am about to buy the drumset, maybe for Christmas. So, I think it is a perfect deal, because I am from Slovakia but study in Austria, it would be so nice to practise in my dorm. you know, silent etc. moreover TD 12 is a perfect kit, played it two years ago and i was amazing ! incredibly nice sounds. better than yamaha
im considering the td12 myself! i was thinking about saving for the 20. but i thought the 12 is pro enough, and with the extra money i could buy a could amp set up, the td20 is like 3.8K the td12 i have seen for 2K

@YTcomic It depends really on how you dial in the different instruments. Some snares sound better than others.

Does this kit only have one kit to edit your self?
DrumBlast89 2 years ago
@DrumBlast89 You can edit any of the preset kits on the module, and I know there's at least one user kit, there may be more but I'm not too sure.

no, your wrong not him.
the screen in the middle (big screen) is an lcd screen, but at the end he points at a led screen, kindof like what you get with a calculator.
