That's what killed children's animation and replaced it with mindless Japanese anime, nature shows, SAVED BY THE BELL reruns, and endless infomercials. LOL, I love how Janine was so calm and resourceful with those ghosts. She was so badass, taking care of those ghosts all by her self with out any of the guys to help her. Janine really was a ghostbuster in her own right.

The movie was made in 1984. The cartoon in 1986 as far as I remember. Filmation made their own series called "Ghostbusters" in 1985/86? and so DiC renamed it "The Real Ghostbusters".

Filmation actually used the name Ghostbusters first back in the seventies with a live action saturday morning program featuring vetern comedians Larry Storch and Forrest Tucker.

The filmation cartoon in the 80s featured their sons.

But Columbia did it better.
