Not sure why everyone focus's on the year 2012. The Calendar year it's based on does not count for the fact we skipped 0 when we started numbering years, and then readjusted for 1 and a few months. I think you need to check that and realize it's not 2012, its more like 2010.

@KrushRadio the Mayan calendar is independent of our calendar...it wouldn't matter if we started 100 years later, DEC 21/22 2012 is the galactic solstice. But like our seasonal solstices, it is only a marker and we won't see anything that we could even perceive perhaps except in meditation or floatation.

Another theory. So many theories on 2012 it's hard to decipher which one could be true. I just say the world is enduring such a rapid change in social and spiritual matters that 2012 could very well be a peak in the cosmic cycle. It could introduce something new, maybe ancient intelligence lost in the rift of time. Who knows!!!
