    Thank you!

  • I can't turn on my Wi-Fi :(

  • this custom rom of android OS is similar to the hundreds of windows versions, it looks good , but after 1 month it crashes and has lots of errors.

  • My recovery version is 3e. How do I get it to 2e, or how do I flash anyways?

(Is the answer that I need to flash clockwork mod onto my phone to be able to root?)

  • Had to turn this video off after 2 mins because the sound of you eating or doing weird noises with your mouth is annoying as hell

  • does it work on 2.2 froyo ?

  • where do you download the update.zip and the clockwork mod from?

  • @farfalla961 Do you have Eclair or Froyo at the moment?

  • @AndroidGalaxyS i have froyo but i have flashed it with darky's extreme edition, thanks anyway.

  • What information is lost from your phone when you install a custom ROM?

  • @IrshaadHashim your apps and user settings and messages and call logs. you will not use photos or files on the internal sd card. you can use titanium backup to backup and restore apps and settings.

  • @AndroidGalaxyS ok, thanks man .. are contacts stored in the sd card?

  • @IrshaadHashim You can store them on the sd card or in your google account. I prefer in my gmail account as then they are never lost and I can access them from other devices.

  • Could someone post a video of them installing the 2e recovery from 3e recovery on a stock 2.2 froyo rom..

I'd even be willing to pay for the privilege if someone can get 2e safely on my Galaxy S! Thanks

  • @gavck You dont need 2e recovery. All you need to do is flash a kernel with the clockworkmod recovery. See my video "How to get ClockworkMod recovery on Froyo".

  • @AndroidGalaxyS thanks looking for that video now ;-)

  • @AndroidGalaxyS cheers will have to check this out cos my SGS is kinda lame at the minute :(

  • Damn it really takes you a half hour to download that rom? My connection could do it in about two minutes.are you using dsl or isdn or something like that?

  • i get an error:

E: Cant open/sdcard/update.zip(no such file or directory)installation aborted

  • hi guys.

May i use thin instruction to upgrade from 2.1 eclair directly to Darky's 8v ???

    Please help

  • Chainfire has a kernel out that will downgrade the recovery from 3e to 2e but JL2 isn't listed. Some say to flash it anyways but I am unsure. Can anyone clarify?

  • I`m rooted to but I also have OCLF, do I need to un-install it, or disable it?

  • I like your videos because the sound and picture is so clear, it puts me off if i click a video and the sound or picture(or both) is not very good, but yours is fantastic, nice videos

  • and can be updated from the mobile????????????

  • could you please create a guide on how to flash a kernel with a 2e recovery? im afraid of bricking my phone so i would look for tutorials like this one that actually work so that i could copy the procedure step by step..

  • @neilbantoc37 See my 'How to Flash ClockworkMod video'

  • Please, tell me how to fix it,,

I want darky so much !!!!

  • when I pressed 'apply sdcard:update.zip

    I get a error..

    E:failed to verify whole-file signature

    E: signature verfication failed

    installation aborted

please, tell me what i can do.

  • @Sn1perDuck Do you have recovery 2e or 3e? It sounds like you have Froyo and recovery 3e. 3e will not work as it does not allow 'unsigned' zip files, which is a type of protection.

  • @AndroidGalaxyS okey, what can I do now ?

  • @AndroidGalaxyS I have recovery 3e sir. How do i change it into 2e?

    Thanks

  • @Sn1perDuck

downgrade your recovery to e2, or install clockwork recovery.

  • @Sn1perDuck rename it to just update no .zip

  • @Sn1perDuck hey that problem i had first to u only need to in

stal a kern whit odin then it works for me !!

  • what about if you are on 2.2 jl2 can you still do this?

  • @123258789456 With Froyo you will have Recovery 3e. But you need recovery 2e to flash this ROM, so you would first need to get the correct recovery.

  • @AndroidGalaxyS how do you get back to recovery 2e?

  • @KamoPanosianOfficial Flash a different kernal that comes with the 2e recovery.

  • @AndroidGalaxyS how do i do that?

  • I was wondering, is it ok to install Custom ROM with EXT2 tools and the OCLF v2.2+ applied? I've rooted with Z4Root about a couple months ago, so should I reroot with the new version of OCLF? Or am I good to go with what I have right now?

  • @deviatorz I have no experience with OCLF on this ROM. Many have enabled the voodoo lagfix that already comes with this ROM. If you are already rooted, I dont see there being a need to re-root again.

  • @AndroidGalaxyS

I read in Darky's threat and people said that it bricked their phone applying OCFL after installed the custom ROM. I might just to reset to factory settings and flash from there just to be on the safe side.

P.S: in your video you said we're nearing the end of 2009 and not 2010 haha....

  • You chose "Launcher" as your launcher. Do you recommend that with Darky? (7.6 is out now). What are the differences between Android Mate vs Launcher vs LauncherPro vs TwLauncher?

  • @Ozzah You can test drive any of the launchers and decide which one you like using best. It is easy to switch - just use the home switcher app that already came with the ROM.

  • which cfroot kernal should i download for sgs official froyo? jpm or jp6?

  • does it work with samsung vibrant?

  • @taloto07 No but there are many good ROMs for Vibrant on XDA. Eugene_373 is really popular i believe.

  • hey mate, recently started a blog at emctechtalk.blogspot.com and would like to use this video if thats ok with you?

  • @TheEmc1992 Sure go ahead.

  • are you running a lag fix on 2.1 update-1? ur galaxy s seems really snappy, my one seriously slows down if i have more than two apps in the background and i have to constantly use task killer to speed it up again, if you have got a lag fix please tell me which one and does ryanzas work with 2.1 update-1 or do you have to have 2.2?

  • @iLYK2PWN No lagfix. This ROM is quite a bit faster than the stock 2.1 update1 firmware.

  • @AndroidGalaxyS ive just recently got a sgs and it came with this firmware and everytime i have more than 4 apps open it lags, do you thing i should use the ryanzas lag fix? and also mine usually lags if i have a heavy running app in the background, is this what happens on all the devices? can you give me some tips to speed it up?

  • @iLYK2PWN I think best way to speed it up is to upgrade to Froyo 2.2. I find my Froyo 2.2.1 Darky v7 SGS to be quite fast. Ryanza lagfix is very popular, as is voodoo kernal. For best performance, you probably want a custom 2.2.1 Froyo ROM and then enable voodoo lagfix -- that will give you a blazing fast Samsung Galaxy S.

  • Do you have to be rooted?? on Darky´s tutorial it doesnt say in the requirements.

  • @hamet1234 Yes root is required to flash a custom ROM.

  • are you at the end of2009 like? canada running a year in the past ha

  • @AlexdeGrate hahaha that is very observant of you. I had of course, mean't to say 2010!

  • Guys I need some help! When i apply that zip file for the first time it kinda loads something and then my phone boots up(normal mode).I can't get into the clockwork recovery mode.Help me please. The Rom is awesome and i really want it!

  • @ThePrinceDaniels Try clicking the update.zip 2X to get into the clockworkmod recovery menu.

  • where can i download ur nice galaxy-wallpaper? nice vid ;)

  • @miffi008 that is the new nexus live wallpaper that shipped with Gingerbread.

  • are you licking on a lollipop or what, you make that nosie with your toung all the time!

    Thx for the tutorial!!

  • @hamet1234 Thank you for your helpful feedback. I had not noticed. I should work on that in future videos. Let me know if I improve.

  • I'm already at Froyo 2.2, so the recovery mode is 3e, can anyone there teach me how to make it into recover mode 2e?

  • @quensbay Download ODIN (a simple Samsung tool) and flash CFRoot kernal from the link I added above.

Then you'll have 2e, and you can then use clockworkmod recovery.

  • cheers for the I9000M -> I9000 boot ;)

most people get stuck with jh2/jk3/jk4.

Also got a 9000m and flashed darky's v7 yesterday, very same procedure.

  • what did u root with, and how do u get back to your country's stock firmware with kies? :)

  • @flw12342315624562 I used z4root - easy one click root application.

You can download any stock firmware and flash with Odin. I don't have much experience with Kies.
