@CanadaKing450 That's probably because, technically speaking, it's not a kids movie. it was made just after the great depression during World war 2 to reflect on the hard, very depressing times that people were going through. Think about it. He loses his mother. He almost dies terribly several times. His home is destroyed. and also, it shows you the conflicts of more adult rivalry (ronno trying to take Faline from Bambi). This really isn't kids stuff.

Not in the u.s. but in Japan it still exists. Mainly Studio Ghibli. Also, I think Pixar has some pretty good movies as well. Dreamworks however is pure capitalistic crap (except how to train a dragon).

too bad nobody knows how to tell a good story anymore and executives have no faith in 2D animation either. I see this all the time, a bright hopeful kid wants to be a classic animator for Disney but times have changed man, the studio that Walt built is long gone and is corrupted by greed, Pixar's golden age is ending too with all the sequels they keep producing. At least Walt didn't believe in doing sequels.
