After having spent some time with this piece earlier in the week it is such a joy to hear you play it here. Never let anyone tell you that you have still to find your voice. It's there! You are a signature composer! there's no question about it! I would recognise your work anywhere. Perhaps as a model for its orchestration you could turn to Ravel's La Valse..... perhaps......but I like the intimacy of it conveyed as you do here at the piano.
I have heard of that piece, actually! My composition teacher told me to listen to it...pretty incredible orchestration, if you ask me. Hopefully by the end of next term this will be orchestrated...I'd love some of your suggestions when the time comes!
@TheKeenanBoy Yes, the Ravel is something. Also his Daphnes and Chloe Suite.
We'll share thoughts. I came across a performance of my Rhapsody at Youtube today by a girl who played it for her end of year exams. Such a pleasant surprise when that happens! It's in my favourites here and at my Fb wall. The piece has a touch of showmanship about it. Anyway, your waltz is beautiful! Thank you for bringing me back here by way of a reply again. The "sequences" at around 2:12 and after are lovely!
