great song. definitely a band that were very underrated and made probably one of the best overlooked albums of the 1990s with "laughing stock". what an album that is.
Im 38 now, and i somehow missed these the first time round. It wasnt until the early ninties that my friend had the natural history album on and i heard it playing.
I was gobsmacked at the quality of the lyrics and rhythm they have.
One seriously under rated band that should be close to the top of the list for best band ever imo

I have 3 cassette tapes of them 'radio 1 in concert' one from each tour ( i saw them 3 times, again once from each tour, the first tape has the live version of this well before it was released as a single, I loved this song when I heard them play it live, it was new to me then, the live version from the the first tour is sooooooo much better ! the glossy production on this the single version dosen't do the song justice !! still a great song though.
Quality track. Still listening to them after all these years. Can I say that about any of the music artists today, 15 years into the future? Nah I'll pass and listen to music created by musicians that were still aloud to express themselves.

What a great, great band!!! There lyrics are timeless and introspectively cryptic. So much better than much of the salacious and emotionless videos that are shown today.
were they from sheffield england? cuz them working in a steel mill. that almost represents the town of scheffield.. it was a town that was mostly iron mills.. and thats the birth place of new wave.. bands like abc, heaven 17, the human league and sadly def leapord came from that city too.. but we all know they werent new wave. there more like white trash rock hahahaha...
talk talk it's outstanding, can anybody living in England any recent information about mark Hollis. It's my life it's my favorite song ever! I'll go to England next year and if I know where I can find any of the members of talk talk i'll go to meet them.
Am i the only one that thinks that Mark is the most charismatic singer ever ? Wonderful voice, great songwriter, shame i never got a chance to see them perform. I hope he is doing well...
