  • Why all the anger? Dawkins expresses a timid counterweight to religious hate. With such arrogance and ignorance that he is confronted with, I find it damned admirable that he stays so civil.

  • I shared some verses from the Bible with a Christian friend and asked questions.

She called me an ignorant fool and a disrespectful jerk.

How can I respect ONE who kills innocent infants and animals(not for food)?

  • as soon as he said "cosmos" i emediatly thought of Carl Sagan <3 im glad he dosn't live in our times, he would have been so depressed with humanity....

  • I am annoyed by other people's excuse to include religion in the classrooms by saying that RELIGION doesn't kill people, only people kill people.

Well, the mere fact that we have DIVERSE religion only proves that religion is man made. Because humans are also diverse in terms of imagination, creativity, etc. One religion may be more boastful or more evil than the other. Please type the keywords "The Bible: Evidence That God Is Evil?" on Youtube.

  • This rabbi is yet another person equivocating the word "theory", I was under the impression that was the exclusive domain of Christian creationists. Interesting.

  • I agree with what he says about religion, but I don't like the impresion that the video leaves that Israel is a religious country, for it's not. Britain isn't more secular than Israel.

  • Dawkins is just like Ray Comfort.......he's out to make money....

  • Yet another video that proves that Dawkins has traded reason for hate. He is no longer a man of logic, but a man who's been blinded by his grudge against religion. This attitude of "convert my way or you're wrong", is one that atheist were supposably against. No, I don't believe faith is a virus, but I believe stupidity is, and Dawkins has caught the bug.

  • @IncludeGod I tend to agree that he is a little OTT in his quest and that his quest seems to have taken over him. Lets say that where Dawkins is going from is the concept of the Meme or Memeplex, which often leads to accept of an idea rathher than further question on it, all else is just Semantic ;-)

  • @IncludeGod No, he is merely exposing religion for what it is, rather than what religionists want it to be.

  • @Akira625 One could also argue that he is the one who wants religion to be what he wants it to be. Both perceptions are based in truth. The bad parts are all atheists see and the good parts are all the religious people see. Something that is incorrect in both perceptions is the "I'm right, your wrong, stupid, and evil" idea. Dawkins is a intelligent person, but when it comes to religion, he lets his hate for religion cloud his reasoning. To bash each other's beliefs is stupid and immature.

  • @IncludeGod Well at least Mr Dawkins has not come with a sword or burned people alive, or like your ilk committed Ethnic Cleansing while preaching the gospels. Talking of catching a mental illness or a bug I would think Christians have the least credibility in the subject along with decency or moral responsibility of which as anyone whom knows the true history of the Americas knows what a laughing stock Jesus flock of hypocrites really are.

  • dawkins is not a scientist. He preaches a virus of hate.

  • @darkfur35 Excuss me he is a Scientist, he does go a bit over the top I will agree, but just look at the type of people who represent faith, Tony Blair and GW Bush to name just two on one side then all those other fanatics on the other.

  • I loved the "Trial of Tony Blair" and I'm glad Dawkins is out there telling the truth; but I find him and others like him a bit boring. Hearing someone state the obvious over and over is somewhat like being stuck in 2nd grade math class,"yes, I've got simple addition down now: 2+2=5 and all that; can we move on to division now?" The Truth is Not Going to Set Us Free from Religion. This virus is fatal in the nuclear age, so the cure can't possibly be worse than the disease.

  • 2:35 anyone know where that passage is?

  • Thank you for posting these videos...i see validity in all his points...but faith is such an incredible essence to humanity...and ironically, all his points boil down to just that...irrational faith amidst lack of evidence...and point made in faith being the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen,,,however ugly the endresults.

  • this guy is doing super well

  • The Jews are smart. They do not watch T.V. That leaves a lot mroe time to read.

  • more*

  • Richard Dawkins FTW!!! Thank you, Dr. Dawkins! ^__^

  • realistically, religion is just an old philosophy which in crude times, used crude methodology to convince people to behave better, it would have been quite relevant back then, but people have hung on to it far too long, and its long become obsolete. Many things said in the bible have been disproved yet the so called "faithful" hold on so tightly, as they are so intrinsic to their character. I honestly pity them and their weakness, anyone who doesnt question such a profound subject is a coward

  • Your final wording is a little strong, but yes I agree. When will people truly understand that believe in a story told by others is a fairy tail, which helps the child inside accept a world that they are afraid to truly see. The question is infinite and therefore so is the answer, how could a limited mind truly hold such infinity;-)

  • true

i meant it in the sense that if you actually did question it, realistically there is a more logical direction which will lead to a more refined and logical answer....

but the answer is definitely not religion

anything you have to be "scared into believing" is criminal, its like blackmail.

    like bertrand russell put it

fear is the parent of cruelty, and its no wonder why cruelty and religion go so well together.

  • Again I am in agreement with you, it is a pity that before one can start to arrive at such conclusions they must first doubt all that they have been told to believe. I think that words to this effect are even written in the bible (Solomon springs to mind) that is the interesting thing of the bible, it can be read in so many different ways! Religion tell initiate how to read it, and which conclusion are to be drawn, this is how brains are washed and used by MAN. Enforced belief is control.

  • @yulske i think people have a desire to feel important, so they created god and made god centric upon humans. but that's just one "purpose" for some to use religion for.

  • "i dont think religion is the root of all evil its love for money & power thats the root of all evil"

and the religious leader gets what out of lying to people and saying he talks to some random god? thats right, money and power to control.

  • I TOTALLY agree with you.

  • True.

Its awful when ppl use others for there own benefit, simply selfishness at its worst.

  • religion = one of mans most deadly inventions....so far.

  • It's Just a formed slavery dressed up.

  • exactly.

  • good point BrutusCass, are we not slaves of "god" ? aren't we slaves of our pastor?

  • That would all depend on what one considered God? Isn't religion nothing more than an attempt to enslave god? Is God less than all that which is? Does a chair truly know it's maker?

  • good point again, notice how i put "god" in quotes ;) isn't reality awesome?

  • Yes I suppose it must be, though none have ever really seen it ;-)

  • More destructive than a nuclear warhead and is responsible for millions more deaths so far.

  • Ok, But how does one define Religion, is it not the control of the followers, and is that not power? And is money not the expression of power without physical force? Personal belief or spirituality are one thing, but the herding of the mass against mass takes Religion. On the topic of the Illuminati, what can you tell me about Luther? and the present day spin off? Why did the Khazars choose to follow Judaism? And now who are these two groups and where are the links? Answer 2 FTWR.

  • The problem is often the confusion, between, Faith, Belief, Religion, spirituality. I find just one problem with Dawkins, which is that he replaces Religion as the ultimate truth. When in fact never are.

  • Amen to science

  • ;-))

  • i hate this world, its so full of generations of rubbish.. hope i can see the beauty in it one day.

  • I we can't lose hope, because if we do, what will be left ;-))

  • Thanks John.
