Rather than face lay-offs, Argentina’s unions accepted being paid in small-denomination provincial bonds they could use for HTML Hydropower, taxes, medical & license fees which everyone accepted as currency. No layoffs, more jobs. Broke in 2001, out of foreign debt in 2006, just by paying people with provincial bonds. The "Argentine Solution."

My main objection to the OWS is that they wish to replace big government crony capitalism with big government socialism. We need a return to free enterprise capitalism backed up by limited, constitutional government. This video evades the entire issue.

@sthomaslewis - You can't return to something that never existed. "Free enterprise capitalism" is a romantic dream. It never existed and never will, same as "true communism". And "smaller government" is just a talking point. Some countries have huge public sectors and very low corruption. The main problem with the US political system is that corruption is essentially legal (lobbying, campaign finance, working for private corporations while legislating, etc.). Start there.

@MzFlux It's about time you guys started protesting those who are really responsible. Now please do us a favor and don't cause any more of the middle class to lose time and money. Already some have been laid off in New York directly due to the protests. For example, don't stop the flow of business in retail stores because the middle class work there. Go to their corporate offices instead. If you really do as you say in those links you may begin to get some support from more Americans.

Pretty funny. Glad they brought up the fact that the illegal private federal reserve fabricated 7.7 trillion dollars and loaned it out to elite bankers in 08/09. This was used to steal hundreds of billions of dollars (including lending some back to the US government - LOLOL). Read the bloomberg report (nov 27) - they sued the fed to reveal this info (study Mark Pittman)

This sum of money is 11X tarp and if you can't figure out that you have been conned then get back to the tv.
