I don't think this one was rabid. It was too calm and neither lethargic nor aggressive. My dog just killed one that I'm pretty sure was rabid last night and it was trying to attack me. Sounded like an angry cat that didn't know it was going up against a predator bigger than itself. uckily my dog is up to date on her rabies shot and didn't get bitten in the process.
that was likely a released hand-raised pet or extremely spoiled squirrel. You could have probably picked it up without getting bitten and likely it would have eaten out of your hand. Once they become too spoiled, they'll become extremely friendly. I feed one every day at 6pm. Crazy but true.

I don't think is rabid. Animal isn't foaming or looking like crap.
Almost every squirrels will come to you when you call them.
I even had squirrels climbing on me and they didn't bite the crap out of me.
