I do know that there is a Black-Banded Centipede Snake, but that doesnt look like it at all. I'm assuming its either a Black headed snake or the Sotheastern Crowned Snake. But yes that is FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!! Im deathly afraid of centipedes but I love snakes more than anything! That works out perfectly for me! And thats gross about the dead newborn mouse...but I had this gorgeous snake named Cannibal, and it ate all of the other snakes' babies. Top that! XD

I was very surprised that the Giant centipede lost to a small snake! Did the Giant centipede bite back when the snake attacked it? I think it did, but the snake seemed to be all right without any injuries whatsoever and it seems to be immuned to the venom of the Giant Centipede!

Several things.

I don't think in the real world a mouse would be a natural food source for a centipede; their eyesight is not that great.

More often, it would eat insects or scavenge anything dead it finds. Once in a while it might happen onto a mammal.

Second, its the cruelty of feeding a live mammal to something that would be perfectly happy with carrion.

Lets not kid around. Its horribly fascinating to watch something suffer and die. Snuff film?

Yes, I realize giant centipedes have done some amazing acts of predation, like that one in the bat cave where it caught a bat in mid flight.

But I recall one of the comments saying that a mouse would not normally get caught by a centipede. It would run away before it got close enough to catch it.

What bothers me is the mouse does not have a fighting chance to escape, and assholes like szappan have posted vids showing them using a feather to help it get the mouse.
