If an egg implants in the fallopian tube, it is called an ectopic pregnancy and poses great risks for the mother and the fetus.

not quiet right. Recent examples where human ovulation was caught on video, it was found to take 15min for the ovum to be ejected from the follicle. So the sudden burst isn't all that sudden.
unfortunatly not all womens body work this way and i am one of them. i have endometriosis and pcos which have caused me to not ovulate in over 2 years(im 19) too bad they cant show both sides of ovulation and anovulation. there are many girls who might have these issues. there needs to be more awareness about these two conditions. high schools need to inform girls and guys about this!

excellent!!!!!!!!11what i've learned from high school is that these little balls they form a zygote which is a single cell but before pregnancy fertilization occurs and then the egg implants it self.whenever a child is to be borned the sperm should go directly to the ovary and not the fallopian tube if it goes directly to the ovary that means this is normal birth,but if it goes directly to the fallopian tube this is abnormal birth which can cause the mother to die:)

@davinrobinson1 Thanks for your comment. Just to be clear: **fertilization** of the egg by the sperm normally happens in the fallopian tube, not the ovary. If the sperm goes to the ovary, it has gone past the egg into the abdominal cavity. What you might be thinking of is implantation, which must occur in the uterine lining and not the fallopian tube. If an egg implants in the fallopian tube, it is called an ectopic pregnancy and poses great risks for the mother and the fetus.

@davinrobinson1 The zygote isn't just the little "balls" it's the when the ovum and sperm (both haploid) join together (fertilization) to form the embryo. The ovum isn't considered a zygote until after fertilization with the sperm occurs.

not quiet right. Recent examples where human ovulation was caught on video, it was found to take 15min for the ovum to be ejected from the follicle. So the sudden burst isn't all that sudden.

unfortunatly not all womens body work this way and i am one of them. i have endometriosis and pcos which have caused me to not ovulate in over 2 years(im 19) too bad they cant show both sides of ovulation and anovulation. there are many girls who might have these issues. there needs to be more awareness about these two conditions. high schools need to inform girls and guys about this!

ya by her physical signs like cervical secretions ,basal body temperature..there is a special thermometer sold to monitor the temperature rise during ovulation,also the cervix becomes softer..also it occurs 14 or 15 days from the first day of last girl's period..again every girl is different..so is this the most fertile time for the girl and the guy would you know ejeculate inside her and wait for implantation..
