This is what I refer to as a slightly better move, but I think It would have been better if: A the Government Dealt directly with VW because passats cost 2/3 the price being mentioned (3.4m) outside the country, and B: Why did they choose it over other vehicles.

As for those ministers who are unwilling to give up their luxury cars, they are free to buy using the government loans they are privy to.
