  • This song is about politics and Israel...

jk... before anyone starts correcting me.

  • ... But Keith had brown eyes.

  • @Rodney17302 ...the song isnt about keith

  • @testnumberone1 it was a joke... and, he's using the song as a tribute... and I'm pretty sure the word blue is used as the word "sad" in the song.

  • Greatest. Drummer. EVER. <3

  • People never Remember Keith Moons drumming. just his antics.

have you ever heard anyone play fills, and rolls, as fast as he can??

    NO-ONE!! can!!

He was the Greatest Drummer of all Time!

and no one compares with him.

  • Comment removed

  • its ironic you mispell the word ingorant, lol sorry ignarant, or ignarent, lol wow

  • you misspelt 'ignorant', i doubt you will appreciate the irony.

  • He is not the ONE of the greatest,He is the Greatest drummer ever.R.I.P. Kieth you are missed.

  • @TheWhoLive73 thanks mate

  • The Very best drumer of the world

  • LOL @ 2:21

  • Awesome Tribute Man

  • No more than Townsend fluffed a notes and chords or Daltrey went flat or couldn't reach certain notes, so do remember he was human and a brilliant untrained drummer. lets not forget it was his drumming and Entwistles bass that was the gave The Who their unforgettable sound.

  • He made great faces for tv appearances, all of which were mimed, as was the practice back then. Tha't how he was able to carry on the way he did and still appear to be playing, it was the drumming version of lip synching. In the only known live solo (goldfish solo) his playing is an abject embarrassment. He screwed up live shows time and again, to the point where Townshend was sick of him. He was a cool looking guy who drank a lot. Don't make more of him than that.

  • oh and pete townshend was not sick of him, he still often says he was the greatest friend and drummer you could ever want, he did not mime tv appearences or concerts... this man taught himself how to play drums and he did a damn good job of it...id like to see you get up and play as well as him... and the drumfish solo is a bout as good as it can get..get ur facts striaght

  • keith moon lived quite the rockstar life that no one else never did or never will, he represented what rock n roll was all about, a true rock legend!!!!!!

  • He was a bloated, drug-addicted, obnoxious, financially broke, wife beating, fraud. His playing was unreliable, and towards the end of his life he was close to being fired by The Who. Is that what rock is all about?

  • fuck u, ur comment proves that u know nothing about rock n roll music, go listen to the rap crap that we have today or the jonas bros and miley cyrus are not for u, guys like keith moon and john bonham are not for u bitch!!!!!! keith moon is considered a rock legend, in the school of rock movie it says so, every hard rock cafe i've been to, he is described as the legendary drummer of the who, even ringo starr, his close friend, was concerned about his rockstar behavior!!!!!!

  • @rajbeast My man rajbeast frig those jonas faggatts if it was not been for 90% female base fans they would sweeping floors now.Nobody come to a kieth moon who site bad mouth the GREATEST LIVE BAND ON THE PLANET AND BEST DRUMMER EVER.I seen them all in the low 70s nobody touches the Who live to this day and roger just turned 66yrs old.

  • @TheWhoLive73 ikr!

  • @rajbeast SORRY raibeast maybe I'm not updated on the lingo but what is ikr mean.

  • @TheWhoLive73 haha "i know right"...

  • @rajbeast ok gut ya.

  • so u can't say keith moon didn't live like a rockstar, alice cooper said that keith moon represented what rock n roll was all about having fun and breaking all the rules, i would listen to a guy like alice cooper rather than a guy like u who likes the jonas bros!!!!!! ur just being ignorant here, also get ur facts straight!!!!!! keith moon never actually beat any of his wives up, he forced them to do a lot of things but he never actually physically assaulted them!!!!!!

  • so, get more informed about these legendary rock drummers before u talk shit about them bitch!!!!!!

  • also, another fact to prove ur ignorant fact wrong, at keith moon's funeral, two of the legendary rock bands from back in the day were there, the rollings stones and led zeppelin!!!!!! he got showered by gifts like anything from those rockers!!!!!! name one rockstar at whose funeral two bands like the rolling stones and led zeppelin were there at the same time paying tribute!!!!!! u can't because there is none, not even john entwistle!!!!!!

  • so, saying stuff like keith moon is not legendary is really ignorant, idiotic and proves that u know nothing about rock music!!!!!! yea right, he was a fraud, boy, u really enlightened me with that comment, because, he was a fraud, bands like the rolling stones and led zeppelin paid tribute to him at his funeral and because he was fraud, he was really good friends with so many legendary rockstars!!!!!!

  • also, keith moon was the only drummer that john bonham allowed on stage to play with, he was huge friends with led zeppelin!!!!!! so, who knows, maybe the next thing that u will say is that led zeppelin and the rolling stones are crappy!!!!!! boy, rock is really not for u, so, don't even bother to watch these videos, watch music videos of britney spears, christina aguilera, miley cyrus and the jonas bros!!!!!!

  • awsum reply mate lol! and damn strate too

  • @joeyuk2121 haha thanks just doing my job to teach ignorant morons what rock and roll is all about lol

  • .yes he was a wife beater and he often apoligized for that,he was definatly not broke and died with 12 million, his playin was not unreliable it was possibly the greatest drumming of all time , excluding buddy rich.have no idea where you are getting obniouxious from, he would never be fired from the who as he generated most of their hype and they knew they would never find a drummer as good as him again and yes he was drug addicted but he died trying to get himself clean..yu hav no music taste

  • what about tony williams

  • lol funny quote by keith moon " the band hasnt actually told me i am in the band so i have really just been standing in for 15 years" lol tip top drummer indeed

  • Forgot to mention the ox! He and keith were top of their fields! Nice mk1 escort bda!

  • Moony is as good as it gets! Nice choice of song! Shame he had brown eyes!

  • He's pretty technical in my opinon, who else can play drums like him? No one.

    League of his own!!

    RIP

  • love keith moon loved him in the movie tommy as uncle ernie

  • from the medicine he was taking so as to prevent him from drinking alcohol

  • I guess it worked wonders then... (Sarcasm)

  • How did Keith die?

  • keith moon died of an accidental overdose of prescription pills. he took 32 of them while he was only supposed to take 1. 3 at most.

  • but i can't disagree. He was the best drummer. Even in paradise he is playing the drums

  • fuck you thejector

  • HE IS THE BEST!!! NO ONE OF THE THE BEST!

  • I allways loved Keith...He is one of my favorite musicians of all time. He may have not been the most technically great drummer of all time but he is the most entertaining drummer you've ever seen. He gives the who energy and excitement and he pushes their sound up a notch.

  • I think no other drummer has been able to play with such emotion and a melodic quality like Keith Moon. His playing was as much Smashing and Crashing as John Entwistle's talent was just plucking strings. And Oddly Enough, I find alot of his work in the years 71-75 were really good. Of course it was the years when the Who didn't Kick out hits lick this and Quad(his best album) but the band was so little after he died. THey just lost the same life and melody they had before...

  • @TheItalian42 well your half right about me........u should have stopped at the word like keith moon. the rest is full of shit...and then you drag john into it?? plucking strings . you are an idiot mate.and have no clue what it takes .

  • nice thoughts in your info section about this amazing performer..

    lovely video.

  • best ever

  • JUST THE BEST!!!!!!!!

  • At 1:50 you can almost hear his brilliant guffaw. I miss you so bad Keith. people who don't like Keith are officially barred from listening to The Who at all.

  • he was such a great artist/entertainer/rockstar you name it their is not many artist like him now, but for some reason I see alot of him in Dave Grohl

  • Be fair and ask Niel Peart what he thinks about Keith Moon. I see no reason to put one over the other. Keith Moon is not the right fit for Rush and vice versa, Niel would not be the right fit for the Who. I like and respect both drummers for what and who they are. Personally I'm more of a Who fan, but I've seen Rush in concert and it was a great show. No complaints what so ever. There are some great rock drummers out there...

  • Peart may have been great from a technique stand point, but Keith was unmatch when it came to creativity. He could find places to throw in awesome fills where no one else would've even tried.

Also, songwriting and being Canadian have nothing to do with drumming, especially when most of the great rock bands (Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd) came from England.

  • i agree

  • The greatest drummer of all time

  • jimbosudbury is just a kid who recently left his dippers and he knows nothing about music history and is not capable to write a decent comment.Forgive this lad...

  • 1:46 He looks so cute! I miss u keith!

  • Such a Celebrity!

    ¡Qué personaje!

    miss him too

    :(

  • Keith is the ~BEST F***ING DRUMMER IN THE WORLD~ EVER. PERIOD. No one has done what he's done, no one can imitate him; absolutely ONE of a KIND. He had natural talent, something that cannot be learned or replicated........only APPRECIATED!!!!

  • Keith's Drumming whilst not technically perfect by todays sterile 'digital' standards, was a reflection of his personality and was the perfect foil for pete's guitar, My God, how we could do with more like him today, I'm so sick of hearing double bass drum fills that have been taught at some music school. most drummers(not all)

today sound like drum machines. click, click click. Keith always sounded on the edge, never safe. If you want perfect time keeping go listen to your metronome.

  • screw who ever talks crap about moonie. He is the most remembered drummer. If moon wasnt in the who they would never be THE WHO. He was there lucky charm

  • =[ i miss u Keith! </3

  • Your dead inside man, wheres your passion.

  • I saw your channel, tell me one better and professional drummer from the 50´s then.

Keith is sacred for us as Bill Halley for u. Even I like the commets and bo didley too, and, certainly I knew Delft Holland as well, wonderful country, I miss it. :)

  • HES FVOM HOLLAND!!! IS'HNT IT VIERD!

  • lol FVOM, IS'HNT, VIERD u made me laugh xD

  • Yeah Moon was better than Bonham. Bonham drummed really well, but his style was bland as hell.

  • complete fuckin` loon..... but you just got to love the guy.

  • awesome best ever!!!!!!

  • Wow he is AMAZING ....... he is a GOD!!!

  • the best drummer (END OF!!!!!)

  • nice the first picture was my favorite rip Keith

  • the greatest drummer at that time and still is! R.I.P Keith

  • thats such a ignarent comment

peart was technacly a better drummer

but keith moon and bonham have influenced faaarr more people than pert also isent that exsiteing to watch ..i love him im not takeing sides here

    but hes only better technacly...

  • Neil Peart is the third best, and even with saying that he still is a little overated. The best drummer should be the one who played the best, loudest, and fastest, (like Moon) not the one who was famous for having wind chimes, and rainsticks on his drumkit.(Peart) Peart is just a better then usual drummer, not the best, plus the retard could'nt even hold his drum sticks the right way!!!

  • i dont know how someone could say bonham was the best drummer.... look at keith... look at everything hes accomplished. he started his own drumming NO ONE can replicate. hes too fast. r.i.p. moon

  • Hendrix on a drum kit!

  • WE MISS YOU KEITH!!! REST IN PEACE :(

  • Keith was the best drummer! IN THE WORLD!

  • came, proved it, and went...

  • The definition of a Rock God.

  • I admit, i love lars ulrich & therefore metallica (wooop) but, you cant really beat the who & keith moon! We Miss You ! And Love You!

  • Keith, my man, we miss you. RIP, say hello to Freddy - miss him too.

  • keith moon was the craziest manever and he will always be awsome

  • keith moon rulez!!!!

  • i love him, i try to play like him but my band gets annoyed as i keep onpurposly going off beat lol

  • Happy B-Day Moonie!

  • KEITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THIS GUY IS MY HERO!!!

Im trying to play the bass whit the same insane of him but i know that im not going to be like him because he was uniqe

  • the meny faces of keith

  • He is the best

  • i completely, 150% agree. keith john moon is the best drummer ever :]

  • He was the best personality in rock!!!!......definitely.

And he could actually play all of his kit.....unlike the metallica type wannabe drummers of today!!!

  • he is a great drummer but i like metallica :)

dunno y u guys dont like metallica i reakon there the best band ever, anyway thats my opinion

  • If you like metallica for the drumming than you must broaden your horizons a little bit. Check out a few guys (on this site) who know a little bit about drumming

    1 Neil Peart

    2 Carl Palmer

    3 Bill Bruford

    4 Ian Paice

    5 John Bonham

    6 Mitch Mitchell (Hendrix)

You are very young (and very civil) but there are far greater acts out there to be heard over metallica.

  • Neil Peart :D :D Rush drummer :D :D he is awsome :D Check out Ginger Baker (in my opinion, the best drummer) but hey thats my opinion :)

  • OHHH God yeah, i forgot about him!!!......sorry.

  • hehe :D

  • try Buddy Rich - all those guys you mentioned are great but, only wish they could reach buddy rich's awesomeness and effortlessness (is that a word?)

  • Oh yeah for sure he is great (i have his picture on my wall as well!!!) but i can only relate to people of my era and to the type of song that they were playing at the time. but you are right he was brilliant.

  • Yep great drummer but also I like Metalliac but many people makes Lars a god hes a good drummer but Keith its a god

  • Personally speaking i don't think lars ulrich is a talented drummer. I have seen better down the local dance hall.

  • HELLZ YA!

  • Keith Moon was a one of, so how the hell can you compare him with anyone else, end of story.

We all have our "FAVOURITE" drummers etc!

  • young man blues beastliest drumming i ver heard or seen

  • Behind Keith's BROWN eyes

  • I think that Keith kep the band together, many bands have had breakups and members left, but keith kept it together, no matter how frustrated or down the band would be he would still be energetic and make the band laugh

  • hahah kindof they did have break ups all the time tho

  • behind the keith moon"s blue eyes.

  • Yes exactly, or listen to him on Won´t get fooled again, that says it all as well. And Vulture is right nobody matched his presicion-speed coupling, keith Moons stuff is relatively easy to play at a slow speed, but up it to his normal tempo and it is near impossible to continue to hit the right beats. Kieth Moon - Facking legend - RIP, And I don´t usually do that.

  • check out keith moon on 'the real me' on the quadrephenia album, nuff said!

  • quad is good but thats ware his drumming just starts to suffer whosnext is hisbet album work and tommy was when he just fucking became a lege hahah i love quad tho :)

  • 69-71 they were at their apex. But remember even The Who at their worst could blow away 95% of the other bands!

  • 69-73 I'd say, you have to inclide quadrophenia!

  • By the way for those said that Keith wasn´t that good if you pay attention each beat he plays you can hear the precision of the notes. Not easily imitated at all. After Moon died The Who needed to get a jazz drummer who could match his sound but even with all the jazz greats out there, it was a hard find. Ginger Baker was good, but like Bonham he was more into power playing than speed and precision. Mitch Mitchell was probably closest to Moon in style, but didn´t have the persona to stand out.

  • He was indeed an excellent drummer. I never heard another drummer sound the way this guy does. It´s just very different. Bonham was good and so was Mitch Mitchell but Moon was just on another level. It´s said that the movie on his life is coming out in 2009 and Mike Meyer will be starring. Hope they get it right.

  • isnt this song about peter being the gay outcast? not sure.

  • BEST DRUMMER EVER!

    R.I.P.

    We miss you!

  • omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg! i love this song! and keith moon! Rest in peace!!!!! <3333

  • Best there ever was. RIP Keith.

  • God bless you mate, gone but never forgotten, will always treasure that short time dear boy!

  • greatest rock drummer of the last century

  • Greatest drummer ever!

  • I think there were some better rock drummers in the 1800's ;) LOL j/k

  • shit, best of the who it's my god

  • Losing Keith killed the WHO.

  • Very good. Didn't need the picture of him naked though.

  • Haha, me neither :')

  • 1:32 I LOVE THAT KIT !!

  • HAHAHAH FUCK ME I WOULD KILL FOR IT

  • keith reminds me of my older the are both insane and genuis at the same time and they both alot alike except my brother has light brown hair

  • anyone who understands keith and took time to read about the man and spoke to people who worked with him will understand his greatness for me you cant compere this man to another drummer he set the standard'mr rock n roll

  • Wow he is AMAZING ....... he is a GOD!!!

  • Hey stupid people: You have to remember something about the WHO. As a group, they were four individuals. Keith was 1/4th of that. The Who were unique, they had NO fillers, they basically were four individuals playing for a common goal. Keith filled a certain space that was incredible. When they were on, they were great, when they were NOT on, well... LOL

Through it all, Keith was special. He made it all come together for that band. Pete and Roger will tell you that.

  • stop comparing Ringo to Keith. it's stupid, Ringo isn't better just because he was a Beatle.

  • the price of his genius is his self destructive demeanor. its sad that some greats go away too early...

  • RINGO IS GOD!

  • Put down the crack pipe!...my grandmother could play drums better than Ringo LOL!!!

  • Keith Moon would be in the top 3 best, along with Gene Kruppa and Buddy Rich.

  • and the world´s best band!

  • Ginger Baker was very artful and sophisticated, but Keith's sheer fury and manic energy was unmatched, except perhaps by Mitch Mitchell. Ultimately, Moonie was most likely the best drummer rock music has seen. Absolutely astounding at times. And absolutely sorely missed.

  • exellent drummer R.I.P keith :)

but i think Ginger Baker was better. (sorry)

  • you cant even come close to compareing the 2 ginger baker had a totaly difrent style to keith and keith had his own

i prefer keith but then again he wasent better or worse than ginger B

  • Keith was 1 of the greats, but in my opinion i think Baker was better. sorry :)

  • Ok WHY do you think Baker is/was better??

Keith was faster more intense ect....

  • theres no way of compareing them

    there both number 1

  • you know he's the men

  • you know he's the men

  • Great montage. Keith might be gone but at least we've got all the video footage of him forever.

  • The best drummer in one of the best tunes of all.

  • Yeah, Moon was the best!

  • Wow-have to love all these genious people

have to love them all - it does not matter if Sid Vicious or Kurt Kobain or Matt Munro or Ella Fitzgerald- all are stunning!

  • WE sure miss the great one.

  • Agreed - what a stunning piece of music

  • someone should kill limp bullshit 4 destroy this amazing song with that shitty version. this one its the real one

  • You've got to be kidding about the best drummer of all time. He may be good or even great as a rock drummer but there are hundreds of jazz drummers much better. As and example, just check out Joe Morello on youtube if you want to hear a GREAT drummer. Check out Steve Gadd as well.

  • awh...Keith is such an inspiration drum wise for me...his fills are mental!

  • no wonder the WHO were so brillant.

    john entwistle best bass

    pete townsend best guitar

    roger daltery best voice

    keith moon best drummer

i really mean that,a unique combination of musicans which will never be repeated.

  • ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡Tienes razón los mejores the best of México City

  • Have to agree! real stunning music.

Daltrey can even act Mc Vicar very impressive film! I love Moon but he is not as good as Bonham!

  • hhahha thats keith on the second left with all the women

the one on the right looks like a man tho :|

  • To all= Whenever i listen to other bands with great drummers,i do sometimes think "oh i don't think Keith Moon could do that" or start to realise Keith wasn't that good or whatever! I just go and listen to 'Who' albums or live stuff and it all comes back just how f@#king good Keith was! The gut changed the f@#king instrument just like Entwistle did! My personal favourite of Keith's live playing is 'I Can't Explain' on 'The kids..' dvd second song in! No one played drums like that in the 60's!

  • Must you people make bad comments of the drummer we all love best ON A VIDEO MOURNING HI DEATH!!!!! He was an amazing drummer no matter what all you people think. I think he was the best drummer ever. He wasn't a sloppy drummer he was a musical genius. Being all over da kit was his style. It's wat madkes him the best!!!!!!!!!

  • How about Bonham? Carmine Appice? Buddy Rich? They were all hard hitters, and all of them were miles beyond Moon in ability. Moon was unique because he acted like a fucking maniac, which was amusing the way it was marketed to us. The is that he was a drunk. He broke his wife's nose twice. He passed out on stage at least once. And he was a total train wreck at countless recording sessions. Sorry. I am not in love with his self destruction anymore. But The Who is the best band.

  • STFU!! ! !

  • No.

  • I'm sorry guys, but I agree with 10Lug. Moon was a hard-hitting, heavy-drinking, likeable lad who mad cool faces when he played. He was not as good as we wanted to think that he was. Don't be fooled by image. He was a tragic, pathetic person, in many ways.
