  • In brightest day, in blackest night,

No evil shall escape my sight

Let those who worship evil's might,

Beware my power... Green Lantern's light!

  • 0 dislikes? Hell yeah.

  • We are the Corps.

  • Why was the number 3,600 used for the number of sectors in the story? Does no one find it strange that the script writer would use the same number that describes how long planet X takes to complete its long elliptical orbit? Is the script writer trying to tell us something?

  • @tbcivilian yup, if ye knock off one zero

& pair the numbers with green...then you'll know

the script writer loves playing on Xbox! XD

  • 2:23 You are afraid. Good.

  • Bacon!

  • you want a crap movie? go watch Skyline....this movie was epic! yes it could have been alot longer and a more depth to the storyline but it was decent.

  • @900nemisis extended cut!

  • @900nemisis If you read the comics then you would not agree with what you just said.. Unless you don't mind a good storyline being change dramatically, even the characters in it have completely different roles. Why the fuck is paralax out of the central power battery while Sinestro is still in the corp? Why is a fucking guardian being controlled by him? And why in gods name is Ryan Reynolds playing Hal Jordan..

  • @ISpoonedAPanda would you rather have sticked to the real story? If so, then we'd have Parallax escape off the bat, and all the rings would go out, Hal Jordan would never be chosen, and Parallax would take over the universe- end of movie.

I don't know about you, but that sounds like a steamy pile of shit to me

  • Nice intro soundtrack.

Honestly, I've found Green Lantern not so bad. Yes, it isn't the Movie of the Year/Decade/Century, yes it could have been better (and longer) but on the whole, it's a nice movie.

You want some trash ? Watch Batman and Robin lol

  • @MassacratorX

Longer? It was longer than star wars movies and green lantern was three hours and thirty minutes (115 minutes to be exact.

  • @Orangefan1ful 115 minutes adds up to 1 hour 55 minutes. There are 180 minutes in three hours.

  • @6000mphx

it ads up to 3 hours and 30 minutes and captain america I saw it like 55 minutes because geez everything was for little kids on that movie but it was good captain america but I would say its the best one of the year now dont chanege it because everybody has their own opinion

  • @Orangefan1ful One hour = 60 minutes, so 115 minutes = 1 hour and 55 minutes. Not 3 hours and 30 minutes.

  • excellant build up to a great soundtrack.

  • good music for shit movie so sad for Mr Newton Big H

  • James Newton Howard My Favourite And Best Music Composer Ever He Is Never Wrong,James Newton Howard He Is A Pride Of America

  • I really wanted to like this movie...at least the music stands above it all.

  • So glad to hear these!

  • Which soundtrack was the one in the trailer?

  • I saw this movie, it was finally good, better than x men first class that really sucks, no personality in it, it was so fade, just a catalog of cliche with 60's clothes, what's wrong with the critics ? can they make their own opinion ?

  • @espector92 I really hope you're kidding, and I really hope you fix your grammar.

  • @HansODST well this is not my language but at least you seem to understand

  • @espector92 Green Lantern was a shit movie. Too short. No character development. 0 chemistry between Reynolds and Lively. Lively's acting in general just sucking. No character development for Hal. Hes a cocky arrogant dusche at the beggining, hes a cocky arrogant dusche at the end Lame attempt at humor. Making such a big deal about the villian being such a huge, unstoppable threat and yet the good guy kills it in 5 minutes? 99% special FX, 1% story. X-Men First Class was 1000X better.

  • @ryano2099

Dude it is what he believes. You have your beliefs and he has his.

  • @ryano2099 Didn't you just comment that X-Men First Class sucked... :?

  • SHIT. Sound Mediaventures & Remote Control cancer of music.

  • Damn Parallax. Escapin >:(

  • @bcg241 Aye. Now that Parallax mentions Fear in the movie. He's kinda scary in the beginning.

  • @mac19971

I saw it on opening day. I was hoping that he would look like the comic book one, but he didn't. Now I think the comic book one should look more like the movies lol.

  • @bcg241 Ohhhhkay?

  • One of the most uninspiring soundtracks of all time. The scores in this film weighed it down for me. I'm now convinced that James Newton Howard does absolutely nothing when it comes to the Batman films and just gets yelled at from Hans Zimmer in German.

  • @batman93oo I am, unfortunately, in agreement. The Green Lantern motif - best heard in 'Genesis of Good and Evil' - I find to be good, but lacking in scope. It's something that should exist as part of a larger, longer theme. I found the music for Parallax to be more powerful and evocative. Seems to me the studio pressured JNH to produce an edgy, Remote Control-esque score.

  • @batman93oo cmon man show the man some respect. His scores have always been more emotive and personal to me(King Kong, Dinosaur, Blood Diamond etc). I always believed that Zimmer created the more epic and action packed motifs for the Batman movies, while Howard was responsible for the softer, more sorrowful parts of the score.

  • @Wyzzkyd Zimmer is overrated. As a musician I am aware that Zimmer borrows WAY too much of his "action" sequences from too many of his past films such as gladiator, and many others. Zimmers most original score was "sherlock holmes" but that I would credit more so to the actual genius instrumentalist who played the cello on that soundtrack than Zimmer. Zimmer takes all credit where credit is not due. I know by style Zimmer did NOT come up with very visceral slow pieces of Batman Begins.Howard did.

  • @Wyzzkyd Yea. they both admitting they both have a different tone in scores. they wanted to work together for a long time and they did Batman Begins together cause they thought the movie will be perfect for them to show what they can do together.

  • @Wyzzkyd

you're right: Hans Zimmer worked on the louder (and possibly more obscure) pieces such as 'Molossus' and 'Why So Serious' whereas James Newton-Howard had more influence over the calmer pieces such as 'Eptesicus' and the themes for Harvey Dent

Whereas it is clear that Zimmer has a stronger influence over the batman soundtracks, watching Green Lantern (and recogniseing the style of the soundtrack) made me realise how recognisable Newton-Howard actually is :3

  • 1:15 is epic! And it's only like 5 notes!!!!!

  • @starwarsworld And the intervals of those notes are arranged in a different way, but it's the same intervals as the superman theme. Overtones of Gs and Ds.

  • This sounds badass!! :D

  • but most of the track are really low i can hardly hear anything :- / ?

  • am amazed that you guys can get these soundtrack before the movie comes out lol

  • hell yeaa !!
