Firstly, in a market economy savings=investment (they are just made by different people). Rich people don't need to invest in order to create business, they just need to save. And when they're using the money to buy something i.e. a super car, they are in fact creating business, because they are creating jobs. Now if your issue is someone buying an expensive car when others don't have money to eat, that's a system flaw, a market flaw. It's a moral discussion wether it's right or not.

I have seen too many parents spending tons of money on their kids in gifts and never giving them the gift of how to manage money well. Nothing at all wrong with nice gifts for kids as long as they understand how to manage money and they actually do manage their money well. In my opinion P. Diddy is fairly frugal compared to Birdman from Cash Money Records. I can't think of a person on this planet (Billionaires included) who spend more on jewelry, cars and other luxuries of wealth compared to Birdman.

Firstly, in a market economy savings=investment (they are just made by different people). Rich people don't need to invest in order to create business, they just need to save. And when they're using the money to buy something i.e. a super car, they are in fact creating business, because they are creating jobs. Now if your issue is someone buying an expensive car when others don't have money to eat, that's a system flaw, a market flaw. It's a moral discussion wether it's right or not.

To become a millionaire, yes, frugality is important. Once you have 400 million, you're pretty much set. That's the equivalent of $100,000 a year for 4000 years. What he has made within one lifetime would have taken a person with almost three times the average annual income since practically the entire existence of written history to make. I say this because, these kids don't know how to make money. They were never taught by their parents who were busy making their money. Diddy's fortune is estimated by forbes at 475 million by the way. Giving a 16 y.o 3 McDonalds franchises is foolish. How many 16 year olds are able to run a restuarant? Much less 3 at a time? Why are NFL players taking out loans just in case the season doesn't start because they need that paycheck to pay for those expensive things. Warren Buffett is the richest man in the world and still lives in the same house he has since he was 30. Its not a mansion, just because you have money doesn't mean you have to spend in unwisely.

@mohammedabshaun Giving a child 16 year old 3 businesses to run is like giving a 6 year old a pony instead of a bike. The pony needs food, a bike doesn't. The pony needs attention, a bike doesnt. Simply, a business takes much more responsibility than some car. Besides, you'd need upwards of 300k alone to open up a SINGLE McDonalds franchise much less 3 of them. The car is clearly a smarter decision at his age.
