  • This video makes me want to hit you

  • Cool stuff!

  • where may I be able to find this book?

  • Online at "Lead Cat Press"

  • This is great! I don't have to drive.

  • You don't have to drive if you want to take webcam guitar lessons with me too. :)

  • Thanks. I bought the book and will start working on the lessons soon.

  • yay, im actually learning chords! thank you for putting this up. :]

  • Stay on track with the exercises in the book!

  • Great teaching style, very clear! 5 stars :] learning is fun again!

Would really be interested in going threw the whole tutorial you've set up!

I live in London England.. so not sure if I can get "The Guitar Lesson Companion" in shops over here..

Would I be able to order the Book & CD Package?

    take care, D

  • You can ask your local store to order it for you, but you will receive it faster if you order through my website. I'll also throw in a free pack of picks, a General Guide and a Weekly Lesson Planner. You'll also be invited to join the online user group.

  • u talk more than u play

  • That's because I'm teaching! :-)

  • hey men.. i watch your video to learn more skill this summer.. i hope that your video will work..

  • Sorry, watching the videos without doing the work in the book won't help you much. Buy the book and get to work! Try the free sample and then decide if it's right for you.

  • Very clear without unecessary flashiness. Although I've played the guitar for a long time (just as a personal hobby), I've got to go back to basics because of an injured left hand. I'm starting again at the beginning to see if I can re-train the damaged finger or find my own solution to the problem by evolving a different playing style. Videos like yours are very helpful. I also like Just Sandercoe's tutorials. They're just as helpful. Glad you're ignoring the daft comments from some who post.

  • cool stuff yo

  • Its a pity you live on the other side of a vast ocean beacuse Im looking for a new band member :-).

  • Well, maybe one of my students will move over to where you live. I am injured and cannot perform anyway, that's why I'm here teaching and publishing books. Thanks for the comment.

  • Really nice work. You are extremely talented buddy. My best wishes are with you.

  • Thanks. Master the concepts in these videos by practicing the assignments in "The Guitar Lesson Companion."

  • I think you are cool and you should not bother to reply to silly comments; only ignorant people would ask about your gender - as if they do not know. I really appreciate your tutorials, they are great.

  • Thanks, I'm glad you like the videos. I have to say again that the videos were an afterthought to the book, if you like the videos, you'll love the book. :)

Read what other people are saying on the Review page. There's even a review from Steven Kirby, an assistant professor at Berklee School of Music.

  • guy or a girl ??

  • Yawn.

  • HER NAME IS SUSAN.

  • Thanks. I find all of this so funny, and at the end of the day, I'm thrilled that so many folks are checking out my guitar lessons and buying my book, "The Guitar Lesson Companion" to help them reach their full potential on the guitar.

  • thanks for the vid. helped alot

  • Thanks. Don't forget to try the free sample from the book and CD. It's on the website.

  • Seriously are you male or female? Because your face looks kinda "girly" and your name is Susan, but then again you dont look like a woman too much.

  • You embarrass yourself. Life is short. Get it together.

  • I dont think I embarrass myself. In fact I think it's embarrasing for you that your appearance is so non-feminine that it's actually hard to tell if you're male or female. And seriously, I still can't tell your sex.

  • I know who I am and I'm cool with who I am, so there's nothing you can say to me that would embarrass me. You embarrass yourself because you do not have the capability to understand that.

Can't you see how other folks have also tried to embarrass me? You didn't even try to raise a new issue - How lame! You are not just ignorant, but you are also stupid.

I'm sorry that I am too complex you to understand. You should read more books, go back to school and do some traveling.

  • JustStayDown8800 - you truly are a moron. What the hell does anyon'e appearance have to do with music or an ability to teach? Get a life and grow up.

  • Good Spirit while teaching the guitar :) !

  • ummmm... not trying to be offencive but me and prithvi6679 are wondering are you a girl or a boy i mean you talk like a girl and kinda look like a boy no offense but what are you?

  • but i got another thing to ask, Is that true I got to learn to play the acoustic guitar first and the and only the you can play the electric guitar???

  • Nope. Why learn to drive on a semi-truck when you can learn on a VW Golf? It's easier to build your skills on an electric first, then move to the acoustic. Unless, you really, really dig acoustic guitar - Then start on an acoustic. Whatever floats your boat.

  • i dont agree: if you start on an elektric guitar you dont have the strength in your fingers to move onto acoustik guitar

  • Most people do, and most people progress faster if they start on an electric (especially kids.) But again, whatever floats your boat.

  • i agree, I'm a kid and started on electric and got an acoustic. I fel if I went right to acoustic, I would have enough strength. but anyways, your a great teacher and love these videos! you helping lots of people out :-) keep it up susan

  • as a guitar teacher I totally agree with this sentiment!

  • hello I like very much your videos, you are good teacher but I want to know your opinion about one thing I buy a cd of how play the

acoustic and electric guitar so I want to kwon your opinion about that thanks

  • excellent teacher

  • no thanx ill find another video

  • Cool - I wish you all the best. No teacher works well with all students. I hope to work with the students who are interested in a serious, structured program, taught by a teacher who cares about students and quality work. I expect a lot from my students, and they expect a lot from me. I love my job.

  • good lesson, thanks

  • Very professional. Kudos

  • Sweet Guitar

  • You've got all the lessons here! :-)

  • How can I contact you for lessons....

    Ty

  • Love it, Susan, thank you so much...I plan on going thru all of your videos and working on this with you. Awesome to see a girl teaching, wish you were in my area! I'm just learning, after dropping the guitar in my teen years, and I decided to be able to play the songs I want to sing, instead of only singing whatever the Guitar Gods at band practice decide they want me to do...LOL Just renewing the synapses, and I think your lessons will help!

    Ellen
