  • 60 attempts? Wow, that's dedication! It's come out nice. That first tune I know as "The Fairy Dance", although I was under the impression it was Scottish rather than Manx.

  • @davedupplaw Thanks Dave. That is indeed the name of that number, but there is some dispute as to its origin in common with other Gaelic tunes.

  • I think it's generally agreed that Fairy Dance - Car ny Ferrishyn in Manx - is Scottish in origin. There's a few Manx tunes that are variations of tunes originating elsewhere. One that springs to mind is Moylley Gys Jee My Chaarjyn and Star of the County Down.
