guys if you want the truth about the six abs , just do the training and dont give a fuck that how i did to get it , the secret is you should train when you are hungry , then you can do it easier and faster and more energy , that how is six shit come out
I would say I totaly disagree with this video. Been doing a tonne of different abb workouts this past year and I can definantly say you can focus on a certain part of your abbs. If it were a muscle with only 2 attachments a start and an end I would agree then the spring would be a correct analogy. But the muscle is attached on multiple points and divided by compartments which are individualy activated. How else could you do belly dancing? You can't bicep dance now can u?
Yes the ab muscle contact all together, but you can emphasize the weight/exercise, on the lower abs! because i have been doing crunches all my life i have the first 4 abs, while the last 2 aren't developped at all! when i start doing the leg lifts, reverse crunches, reverse curls it started to develop.. how can you explain that?
@theman1860 evilcyber is right dude. if you want more defined "lower abs" you need to lose more body fat by doing cardio. you cant develop one piece of one single muscle at a time its a myth. go running lose, some fat and your lower abs will APPEAR more defined. the definition has always been there its just not visible.
@roryconeill Uhm, i'm already below my ideal weight and don't have 6 packs, the lower 2 aren't developped at all while the upper 2, once i started leg raises and leg lifts etc... lower ab oriented exercises, the last 2 developped pretty well and fast... so don't change the subject and talk about body fat % while we're talking about muscle.... Oh i forgot to mention, i already do cardio daily...
@theman1860 you cant spot train your abs dude. and what is your "ideal" bodyweight. Who's ideal are you basing this on? and arbitrary number you came up with??? The BMI calculator??? Because that is only an estimate for non-bodybuilders because it doesnt take into account high muscle masses . you need an accurate BODYFAT reading NOT bodyweight or bmi. You can get a good estimate with a bodyfat scale if you fast for 12 hours prior but the best way is calipers.
@roryconeill A doctor, i'm 170 cm and weigh 120 lbs so i'm on the thin side, but my lower abs didn't appear from regular crunches, they appeared when i started leg raises and "lower ab" oriented exercises!
@im4everbest Dude, if you rather believe someone fully qualified to tell you something that is clearly incorrect... heah, I'm not going to take that away from you ;)
@Evilcyber im just saying, you're not a qualified nutritionist or personal trainer, and you have no noticeable muscle, its hard to believe in what you're saying
@im4everbestyou want to take advise from someone just becasue hes got a peace of paper saying hes qualified then better watch those expert village videos. half the guys there dont have any muscles.would you rather take arnold schwarzenegger's word because his genetics was super.he could getaway with overtraining but not everybody. So its not important WHO is saying, what's important is WHAT is he saying.I dont believe everything he says, but atleast it gives the idea of doing more search about it
@Evilcyber well would you trust a doctor just because he is healthy? or would you trust a doctor because is a certified doctor, i think i would trust a doctor whos certified
@im4everbest - Knowledge is contained in the mind, not the body. Yes it is great to have someone tell you information on a topic they are formally qualified in. However, the vast majority of nutritionist and personal trainer "qualifications" aren't worth the paper they're written on. Thousands of personal trainers recommend squatting on swiss balls and the dreaded "toning". Many nutritionists also have opinions which are very different to medical guidelines. Besides, who cares about abs?
@im4everbest You shouldn't blindly trust *anyone*. Standard equipment for humans is a brain - use it: look stuff up, get different opinions, verify them. In short, inform yourself.
@Evilcyber I have a question. When you flex the bicep, the tricep relaxes. So if you contract the muscle that makes the Illiopsoas relax would you be able to make the lower abs work because you aren't contracting the Illiopsoas? Video demonstration( kinda) /watch?v=JDLPFrpZdxM
Firstly, as said in the video, the abs are all one muscle, but also just because one muscle in a pair relaxes doesn't mean the other will tense, and vice versa.
For example, if you hang your arm loosely down by your side there is no load on either muscle and both the bicep and tricep are relaxed.
Similarly, if you hold your arm at a 90 degree angle and flex your bicep, your tricep will also tense to resist the bicep, to keep you arm from moving.
@TerminallyPsychotic The frequency of your visits to the throne are up to a point influenced by your physical activities, but also by what you eat - certain foods need longer to be digested.
As long as your calories are in check and you don't exactly don't have bowel movements for a *week* everything is ok and you will keep losing weight ;)
I find leg lifts, and planks help my core. I am cut, but not like a body builder. just normal body tone. lol. Nothing crazy. Also, I find running will help my gults, calfs, and quads. The feeling after a run is just awesome!
@bludwork It will come back where it was before. Where your fat cells sit on your body is genetically determined. When you lose weight, they shrink, when you gain weight, they expand.
@JuhQman I read your posting on the forum. Yep, you might make the abs more prominent that way, but there still would be a difference between the upper and lower portion.
great video! i always wondered why i felt like my abs were being worked more from hanging leg raises vs. crunches, and as you said, it's because of other muscles being worked.
when i was losing weight, i noticed that the last place my body stores fat is not actually below the navel, but just above it. so i guess that's the middle abs, and not lower?
@Quantikz That is right, but there is nothing such as inner and outer chest. Do incline presses (or similar incline movements, e.g. push ups with elevated feet) to target the upper chest more.
@Quantikz Yep, because the pectoralis muscle has two portions: the sternal and clavicular, the latter sitting on top of the other. As has been said, you can target it with inclined exercises.
@mcem222 They make commercials like that because letting people think that there is an easy way out sells. Look at how many dislikes there are on this video. Probably just people hearing something they don't want to.

Might be easier to understand if you used hip flexor(iliopsoas)in the context.
Than things are getting clearer .For the rest Great Job again Prof!

michaelzwarszawy 11 months ago
@michaelzwarszawy It could be that you have really strong connective tissue over your belly, which might explain why it didn't gravitate downward.
Evilcyber 11 months ago
What about the chest? It's possible to exercise the upper chest instead of the lower one isn't that right?
Quantikz 11 months ago
@Quantikz That is right, but there is nothing such as inner and outer chest. Do incline presses (or similar incline movements, e.g. push ups with elevated feet) to target the upper chest more.
