I recommend dropping your inhibitions about traveling to the far corners of the map. The sooner you get those areas mapped out, the easier it will be to get to them in the future, because you'll have more fast-travel points to start from. It's totally worth it, I promise.

Hey doc, here is a tip: Buy a lot of iron ores/ ingots and make a ton of iron daggers. You can easily grind your way to smithing 90 (surprisingly fast ). then steal/ get/ buy daedra harts and ebony ingots for some daedric armor and weapons. You can get badass early in the game this way.

You can go to the stables and pay the guy with the carrage 50 or 60 gold and you can go to every big town on the map, even the ones you haven't discovered yet

Docm, If you wish to travel fast to your destination then find the nearest city and hire a carriage and tell him to take you to the nearest city and you can walk from there now by walking all the way. Hope this helps :D

docm, you can instantly fast travel to any of th main cities by going to a carriage in one of them ( in this case whiterun) and asking the driver to take you to a town. the carriage is usually located in the town stable, and i believe ther is one in every town.

expect a lot more dragons and also try not to hold down the fire button with magic as it doesnt regenerate then,and spare you perks for now you will need them badly in the future (started new account because of wasted perks) and i am still in need of perks (lvl 49 levels up really slowly)

Doc you can go to the stables outside any major hold, and there will be a man in the driver's seat of a wagon. Talk to him and you can go to any major hold in Skyrim for 20-50 gold.

you can travel to all big cities from the places that are marked with horseshoes

also you should use the best arrows at your level available in order to be effective with the bow

iron arrows are really bad you will notice huge difference if you use elven or orish arrows

I think you should considering using a skill point in restoration. the regeneration skill will refill both health and stamina when you magic heal. Much easier to run long distances, and it would help you use you bow zoom more.

DocM, If you want to become a werewolf (Beast Form) you go into your magic, then down to power and select beast form. it will then be the same button as your shout so press that and you will become a werewolf. Note you must feed on people to stay as a werewolf as you dont recover health automatically. Oh and pressing R2 while in beast form will shout and make enemys flee from battle. Hope this helps You :D

Also, I don't think people will mind if you want to do a little smithing/alchemy/enchanting off camera. Think of it like branch mining in minecraft. ;-)

You seriously need to upgrade your smithing and get a better bow. The one you're using is like a tickle stick! Any enchantment on a weapon that adds 'up to level...whatever' should be avoided. Otherwise you'll continually see, for eg: 'creature resisted Fear'. You want a bow that does fire damage or something similar. It doesn't matter what level a creature is, a flaming arrow to the ass is gonna burn! :-)

Two things i wanted to mention:

1. Actualy Brabras is invincible, since hes is neccesary for the quest.

2. In my opinion mages ins Skyrim are fun to play and quite strong in early-game, but are very weak in late-game, since you cant deal more damage with spells expect you get the relevant perks, or buy stronger spells ( or drink fortify Destruction-Potions)... ( I have an lvl 81 mage, with mich i took quite long to kill the endboss and i got an lvl 60 warrior, with which i 3-hittet the endboss.)

doc, it the carts only work at stables (for example, whiterun stables) and there is a guy on a cart connected to a horse. these are used to fast-travel to places you havent been to before for a price. (max is 50 coins) they are VERY useful, as you could have fast-traveled to dawnstar (and then, once you are there discovered dawnstar, making it so you could fast travel there any time for free) and then walked 5 minutes to the place you had to go. please use these, they are very useful!
