I follow Jesus and I really understand where you're coming from. Glad you come from a rational, calm, and mature point of view. Although, I don't have enough faith to be an atheist I really respect you man. ill be following your videos for sure. See ya later.
Part 4: God can't use an immature individual and one who hasn't built himself up in the word of God to do battle with Satan. But that doesn't mean Satan will leave you alone, he'll continue to deceive. He's smarter then you, he appeals to your intellectualism. God speaks to your spirit, the real you. Some are more easily deceived then others, especially when you don't stay in the word--where growing in the admonition of the Lord. Another One Bites The Dust, You'd better repent, if He'll have you
@1LonePuma This makes me sad. The only reason you're a christian is because you've been indoctrinated as a child while your brain was still super malleable and at a stage where everything you're told comes through as truth. The problem is, once you BELIEVE in it all, you also believe that everything else is evil, effectively keeping you away from it and keeping them stuck in the religious quicksands. ALL religions work like that.
@TaintedRave: I'm delighted to inform you that your understanding of God is steeped in stupidity. How in the world do you even consider yourself one that knows anything about God or His word? You crack me up with your unrivaled stupidity. Stick with something you know least you embarrass yourself with your ignorance! Go watch TV!!
@1LonePuma Ad hominem won't get you anywhere. I was raised a christian so I do know about God. Sure, I'm not aware of every single detail, but that wasn't my point. Re-read my comment and perhaps try to answer it this time rather than simply spewing meaningless insults at me.
@TaintedRave: You know, I try to be nice, but people like you who suggest I've been indoctrinated into my faith is a remark from either a heathen or total moron, which are you? You call yourself a Christian, but making remarks like that makes me wonder about what you believe! I can't say anymore then you're terribly immature for being a Christian, if you are one! So, that said, go bother someone else, someone who cares about what you think or say, I don't!!
@1LonePuma I said I was raised a christian. I'm an atheist now though. If you haven't been indoctrinated, then please explain to me how you came to discover God and how you came to accept it as truth. I would bet quite a lot that you've grown up in a christian setting with religious parents who are the ones responsible for your beliefs.
I personally don't take anything for granted. I'll always question things before accepting them to avoid falsehoods as much as I can.
@TaintedRave: You my friend, if I may, are one of the reasons I come to these absurd blogs. But to answer your question, I started out in a catholic school, but didn't last very long. None of what they practiced made any sense to me, not that I knew better, but within. It wasn't until I was 10 that the Lord was tugging at my heart; you see, I had been walking to all sorts of different churches trying to find the Lord. But at 10 I got saved. And later on I got Continued in part 2
@TaintedRave: Part 2 As I said, later on I was baptized in the Holy Ghost, which was what turned my life around, as I learned about Him as the Third Person of the God Head. I read the book, Good Morning Holy Spirit, by Benny Hinn. I had never been more enlightened about the divinity of God. I seldom ever took myself out from reading God's word and one day, the Holy Ghost begin to show me things about Himself. Who knew?!
But as time went on, he gave me a new language. continued Part3
@TaintedRave: Part 3: One Sunday morning, I had been praying that the Lord would show me where to go to church, we ended up across town and a little late for Sunday school, but when we walked in, we were asked to introduce ourselves, then it was quiet. Suddenly, the Sunday school teacher looked as if he was listening to something? He said, I've been instructed to turn to the Book of Acts, chapter, etc. etc. It was about the gift of Tongues along with 1 Corinthians 12...coninued P4
@TaintedRave: Part 4: The class had dismissed and we were all headed into the main sanctuary. The pastor was carefully pacing back and forth as if he was listening. As everyone finish being seated, He simply asked for all those wanting to receive the gift of tongues to please come forward. I thought wow, I've been praying that very thing! So, I went up and the rest of the service was them praying over me. I just couldn't seem to speak as others did. Continued to Part 5
@TaintedRave: Part 5: So, I got home, but it wasn't until I was about to go to bed when I said to myself, others did it, I too can. So I knelt down by my bed and begin to speak without even knowing I had begun to speak with other tongues as 1 Corinthians speaks of. There are times when it's revealed to me what I'm praying and other times not. But I began to mature in this gift and became a praying worrier, tearing down the enemies stronghold over my family. Continued Part 6
@TaintedRave: Part 6: The Holy Ghost began to show me the effects I had while praying in the spirit. Little videos would begin to play in front of my face, showing the effects of my prayers and it all grew from there. Oh yeah, God is real and very personable to those who love and are willing to serve him for his use.
That was a lot of typing, but I can't tell you how wrong you are about God. You know Satan's behind all this nonsense, get out while you can. I seriously hope you do!
@1LonePuma That's a very interesting story, thank you for taking the time to type it all out. Before I say any more, I'd want to ask if you believe everything in the bible, if you think all of it is the truth.
@TaintedRave: Yes. In short, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16,17. "For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit."
Paul describes the process of inspiration by the Holy Spirit in one of his Epistles:
@TaintedRave: Page 2 & 3: Paul describes the process of inspiration by the Holy Spirit in one of his Epistles: 1 Corinthians 2:9-13: "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: ...Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God;
@TaintedRave: Page 3: --that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual." (KJV)
So, lets not forget God's word in first infallible period, second, we have a personal relationship with us. Man is not smart enough to write such living words without God's Spirit. It's verified by the Holy Ghost Himself...it's ALL True.
@1LonePuma That was a long answer to a short question. I'm sorry to announce to you then that there are MANY contradictions within the bible itself and many things that don't make sense. I'll take the first one I can think off the top of my head.
Noah had two animals of each specie on his boat (whose proportions make it impossible to hold that many living creatures anyways). Now, when they all got off what do you think happened?
The carnivores would've definitely eaten up the herbivores! And so a vast number of herbivore species would've gone extinct just like that in a matter of seconds. THEN, having no more herbivore animals to eat, the carnivores would've quickly died out and there would be no more lions, cougars, wolves etc etc.
Now what?
And evolution... goes against what the bible says. Don't bust the "but evolution is just a theory!" card, that's bs and here's why:
A theory is a widely accepted and proven thing in science. You can always try and jump off a bridge to disprove the THEORY of gravity if you don't agree. If evolution is a theory, Adam and Eve were nothing but a hypothesis that was disproved somewhere along the way but that some people still choose to believe out of ignorance. If they were real, the inbreeding would've caused severe problems and humanity would've died out a few generations in.
@TaintedRave: I can see you're stuck, but I've given you the tools to see other wise. From here on out, you're on your own. If you don't want to believe, that's find, it's you not me that will suffer the consequences of your decision. Bring plenty of ice!
@1LonePuma I've just pointed out to you exactly what parts of the bible are absolutely impossible/don't make sense (there are TONS more), and you soldier on through ignorance. God (since you believe in him) gave you the ability to think critically about things. Use this gift to think about the bible and realize how flawed it is.
The saddest part about being an atheist is not being able to say "I TOLD YOU SO" to believers once they die. Ah well.
@TaintedRave: As I've said, believe what you want. I've already given you plenty reason to trust God. That said, because you don't see the distinctions within, you say it controdicts itself. It's only a matter of knowing how to read it. His word is infallible. What you do with it is on you alone.
Part 3: God is a personable God, doesn't he say, draw nigh to him and he will draw nigh to you? But you must seek him with all your heart. Being born again is only the beginning, there is much you don't know or understand. You haven't even gotten out of the gate and you're already saying you don't believe. If you had spent time with Him, you wouldn't be in this mess. But many immature Christians act similar, not realizing they've enlisted in the army of God to defeat the devil through Him WOOPS!
Part 2: I'd say you never read how our faith would be tried, we're in a spiritual Army fighting a spiritual battle! Didn't the Lord fight Satan? His weapon was the word of God saying, "It is written", then the appropriate scripture. If you were a Christian, you were never taught how to do battle or never knew you'd be in a battle for your life. That's what Satan does, he's the tempter, deceiver! That said, you owe it to yourself to read the book, "The Divine Revelation of Hell" your destination.
Well, all I can say is, if you were a Christian, you more then likely never had a personal relationship with Him. You never had Him speak to you. You never experienced a Miracle, etc., etc. Well, as a Christian, we're to grow in the Lord, which doing so, that what we don't understand or perceive, becomes more alive. God never lied to you, you simply never took his word serious or applied it to your life. Perhaps you let other things influence you instead of God's world. How unfortunate for you.
I like to think of myself as an honest thinker and I'm also a bible college student.
I have almost watched the whole thing, very interesting, on one hand it's reminded me how arrogant Christians are, how we shy away from being honest about grey areas and cover up weak areas. On the other hand there is nothing here I have not heard before and collectively (based on my own knowledge) not enough evidence to disregard Christian belief, often it seemed as though the baby was being thrown out with
Welcome to a world of reason, sense, science, and intellectual freedom. May I ask, was there a specific piece of your research that brought you to the understanding that the earth was clearly much older than the theo 6-10,000 years?
i loved your video, it is so similar to how i was deconverted... it was a nostalgic experience! :) though i started out a lot younger than you, i was a very conciously ''hungry for truth'' child.
I believe you were a Christian. The Bible/Torah speaks of not one, but several apostates. After sampling so many videos in this vein, I find that the notion of god or the absence of one will always be an important topic to humans. As a mathematician, I observe that all disciplines whether secular or transcendental have one or more axioms they are based on -statements made with no logical or empirical proof of any kind. It follows that dismissing one form of faith only begets another form.
I want to share Colossians 2:6-8 "As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk you in Him: Rooted and built up in Him, and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ." You can still return to Christ! He still loves you, very much so! God bless you!
@mbsk3lton The word "philosophy" comes from the Greek φιλοσοφία (philosophia), which literally means "love of wisdom". So I should beware of a man that has a "love of wisdom"?????????????? How many question marks can I whack on that?
@4fuksake00 my friend, you make it sound like youre presenting your case to me. Im not God Almighty that will throw you into hell, Im not your judge. I DO read my bible, and I DO understand it, I wish you COULD do the same, friend. But the big question is, where are you going when you die? Luke 9"26 "For whosoever shall be ashamed of Me and of My words, of him shall be the Son of man be ashamed, when He shall come in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the Holy angels."
@mbsk3lton All right then my friend. You have not answered my points in anyway but carried on with you religious banter. However, if you wish to scare me in to believing, then you only pushed me further away. I do not believe that if there was a God he would create a hell for any man. I would like to think you need more than a threat of eternal hell fire to be a well rounded and "good" person. I am a good person. I do not deserve to die by any-means, and I am like that without a threat from God.
@4fuksake00 Me scare you?! LOL my friend, you have become so blind and deaf to the truth. Satan has covered your eyes with his hands and plugged your ears with his fingers. 2 Thessalonians 1:8 "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, And that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." Proof there is a hell for people that do not know God, nor follow the gospel of Jesus. You dont believe in Hell? Ask God to show you hell, and Im sure He will, just to wake you up.
@4fuksake00 You call it religious banter, but I will tell you what- I will enter the kingdom of heaven because I believe in Jesus and what He did to save me from hell. You have a bible, read it. Dont quote scripture if you dont believe in the bible. And on top of this- I AM NOT YOUR ENEMY! Galatians 4:16 "Am I therefore your enemy, because I tell you the truth?" You have been given the message to salvation, reread it! You cant say I didnt warn you. God bless you, friend.
BIG F'ING DEAL. Happens all the time.& Hardcore Atheist Materialists also convert and become God Believers. Im getting the feeling that ur concept of God, was somehow misconstrued and he didn't answer a few prayers, maybe let you down, and that led you to not believing. Then did some research and found some flaws and said that's it! He doesn't exist!...But you know damn well in your Heart he's Real...and if ur plane was going down, you'd be the first one praying ur ass off..lol
@Uberlaser "You mean into a Skyscraper while the terrorist pilots shouts "God is Good"
Lol That's if you "Believe" that terrorists actually did fly commercial airliners into Sky Scrapers..I myself believe 9/11 was an inside job..And did you know 5 of the alleged "hijackers" who face's were sprawled all over the news, were actually found to be ALIVE a few years after 9/11??....crazy right? ;)
don't know how i came across this video series. you don't explain how your life is better as an atheist than when you were christian. why not? what is different? you still go to church? your family, are you married? for how long? how long have you been an atheist? by definition, aren't you agnostic: "one believes that there is no proof of the existence of god but does not deny the possibility that god exists"? do you have children?
what political beliefs did you have as a christian? what political beliefs after deconversion? why? did your voting change at all? why? do you practice any rituals? what and why? how long have you been an atheist? do you still pray? what do you think about christians now? are they stupid?
Dear god. I'm sorry that I did not believe you 'word' as it was total bullshit. I'm also sorry that my future children will also not follow your 'word'. If you do exist, then I am also sorry you feel the need to send me to internal hades. I understand you have a 'place' for this world, however, it is not clear what that is. Heaven, Paradise, whatever, I don't want it because you seem like a complete dick. My parents don't talk to me, because they're stupid like. Good on you. Family eh? Gods gift
@4fuksake00 When you stand before God on Judgment Day, could you say that? John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me." I Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." 2 Thessalonians 2:12 "That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." Accept Christ today, my friend!
@mbsk3lton ...nice quoting there, problem is I don't believe the bible, its man's word to me, not gods. And it seems your saying that this video series is a doctrine of the devil. This video series seems like a solid, researched, question of the bible. Are you saying we should all follow the bible without question, only faith? Is that what "god" wants? Seems like an easy way for churches to lead the true blind. I didn't believe in the bible long before I watched this. Its not hard to doubt it
@4fuksake00 By your own admission, the problem is you don't believe the Bible. If you were in the middle of a crowd that was marching to the edge of a cliff, wouldn't you like to be warned? That's what I'm doing- warning you to turn to God and accept Christ as Savior before you fall off the edge of the cliff. Nobody can save you, not your friends, the crowd, your family- only Jesus. 2 Timothy 3:16 "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God..."
@mbsk3lton Nicely said, I can see your are a man off intellect. However, why does 'god' need simple imperfect humans to do his warning? And you can say he has warned as through his so called word the bible. However it's safe to say, and I'd really like to see this, why can't the big man just pop his face in the clouds and warn us himself? I'd do what ever he wanted then. I mean that would be the end of it, wouldn't it. no one would question let alone 'disobey him' would they?? Don't say faith.
@4fuksake00 The reason God doesn't "pop out of the clouds" is because we cant see Him and live afterwards. Exodus 33:20 "And He said, You can not see My face: for there shall no man see Me, and live." Let me ask you, friend, if you could see with your imperfect human eyes, the angels and demons fighting for your soul, would you believe? Jesus talks to Thomas in John 21:29 "...Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."
@mbsk3lton God created life yes? So he created ants and bacteria. Jesus was God's son and yet he manifested himself as a human. The Burning Bush (Exodus 3:1-15) Is a prime example of God creating a visible reality of himself. You can say that it was not God but angles that made this possible, but that would do fine. If God can create something as small as an ant without destroying it, then surely he CAN pop his head in the clouds. Luke 1:37, For with God nothing shall be impossible.
@mbsk3lton Hang on I'll beat you to the punch. You would say,"You shall not test the Lord your God" (Luke 4:12 King James v.2000) And what has been created is a loop hole where you MUST have faith, you SHAN'T question it, or it's creator because that would be testing god. There are religions that don't allow there children to learn evolution at school. Religion has created generations of people following it blindly. They have no choice. Its like extreme dictatorship, it's wrong and stupid. Sorry
@4fuksake00 Romans 10:17 "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." It is not extreme dictatorship- God lets you CHOOSE! James 4:14 "Where as you know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little while, then vanishes away." Vanishes away into either heaven or hell. Friend, God loves you. By faith, accept Him today!
@mbsk3lton You are just like every religious person. Faith is bullshit. I've covered that. Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Thanks for that, it really proves my point. And God does NOT let you choose!!! Is his way or the highway sweetheart. Can you please read the bible for yourself. If you do (and I can tell you haven't) you will find it, well, enlightening. In every-way I do. P.S, It's fucking annoying the it is written. Good luck

All you Christian bashers should take a look at the original manuscripts of the bible. If you actually researched it you would find out that the Bible is the Most historically accurate compilation ever created. There are over 20000 manuscripts dating back to within 50 years of when the events written in it took place. So you have 2 options, be content in your ignorance (and arrogance) and say its wrong or look at the evidence. Isn't that what you do to think rationally. Food for thoughtGod Bless
@Kortneiii Your right, there are actually 3 separate accounts of creation in genesis. Although, its like playing the game telephone, when a story is passed down from generation to generation there are discrepancies although the core truth still remains. And how did the world begin? might I ask? The big bang? Chemicals being created from pressure? Where'd the pressure come from. Learn some history, biology, maybe some chemistry, look at it like a scientist rationally then we can talk.
@twambomb So you're going to tell me that science is inaccurate when you believe a magical sky wizard randomly appeared and created everything? Not to mention the thousands of contradictions in the bible, even more if the council of hippo had left in -every- story. The bible is just as legitimate to me as Alice in Wonderland. P.s. It's "you're" not "your", how was elementary school English class for you?
@Kortneiii Who said anything about science being inaccurate? I love science actually. And ya, english isn't my strong suit. Biology, chemistry and history. Well....they're my strong suits. Seriously look at some actual evidence please.Did you know Julius Caesar had only 8 documents saying he actually existed? Written 200 years after he was alive. There were over 15,000(original documents) found dating back(With science) to 50 years from when Jesus was said to have been alive. So you have to face
@Kortneiii that he was a real person. 50 years,is less time then when the holocaust happened. Care to deny that. Yu do realize, these are original, handwritten documents. No one would copy out the books of the bible hundreds of time within 50 years just for a joke. That's simple logic. You kind of learn that in math.Any one can make an opinion. But the truth comes from facts. Wouldn't you agree? These documents are historically accurate.Calling it a fairytale is just plain arrogance.
@twambomb And just because people added together a series of documents over 50 years doesn't mean anything. Please, tell me how the "miracles" Jesus preformed are fact. That's like reading Alice in Wonderland and thinking that talking rainbow cats exist. #watchmakeranalogy.
@twambomb Well.... you do realize the bible was a compilation of stories from random people who claim to have experienced miracles/other Jesus shit and have no way to prove any credibility to their stories. P.s. Charles Manson had followers like the apostles who would do whatever he wanted, why isn't he the Messiah? ;)
@Kortneiii I implore you. Bring me facts that say everything's wrong. If you find them I'll happily look at them, gather the facts then make your hypothesis. The scientific method. If you still have an actual argument about the legitimacy of it, then you feel free to speak. You can believe that nothing exists. That your thought process is just random particles colliding. But have you ever felt, love?Anger?Hate? are those just chemicals too? Please give some thought if you respond.Actually research
@twambomb Uh yes, feelings are caused by chemicals releasing in the brain, please lrn2grade9biology. And what the fuck is "then you feel free to speak." You're ignorant. Do you honestly believe the universe is only 10,000 years old? Even with geological and archaeological evidence contradicting your -theory- you're still going to say science is wrong because you're just that stupid. If a 16 year old girl knows creationism is wrong, it should be common sense to an adult.
@Kortneiii For one, you didn't provide any evidence, which I asked for. 2 I love science, Biology 12 and Chem 12 were my fav. subjects. And ignorance, missy, means lack of knowledge. If your going to use a word, try using a dictionary next time. You are young and naive. Seriously use google and you'll find what your looking for. Btw, carbon dating has lots of errors, so don't rely on it. Like I said, get actual evidence, and then we can talk.So for the record. science is my strong suit, so dont
@twambomb 1. Religion is just a way to fill in the voids in knowledge to give us a false sense of security.
2. Earth started off as a clusterfuck of space rock hurdling towards each other, with the impacts giving off thermal energy (hence why our planet has a molten core) and some rocks had quantities of water, methane, ammonia and hydrogen.
Cont - All of those chemicals came together into a chemical soup and the climate of the earth began its baby steps, starting with thunderstorms which in turn was natures own way of electrolysis with the chemical cocktail, which then later bonded into complex chains of amino acids and proteins, thus life.
It doesn't take two fucking brain cells to rub together, mister "hurr I took grade 12 sciences." Your arguments are making baby Jesus cry.
@Kortneiii even try to say I don't know because I plan on being a science major. Yes, a creationist who is a science major. And uses logic, like the stuff you learn in Principles of math 12. Take it, you may actually become rational
The fool has said in his heart that there is no God. Jesus loves you, repent of your sins and seek the lord while he yet may be found....... There is no greater peace in the world than asking Jesus Christ to live in your heart as you already know.
I was raised Christian, but once I grew up and actually started reading the Bible I started realizing what utter nonsense it all was. Men returning from the dead, a guy living in a fish for 3 days, worldwide flood, water to wine...blah blah blah....it's like reading Jack & the Beanstalk and trying to convince yourself it's true. If you think with an adult brain, you know there's some maaaaajor bull$hit wrapped up in that book. Major.

@kuwinsitall You shouldn't take the meanings literally. You have to keep in mind the people who wrote the bible, who mostly lived in the desert, for example to see heaven as an enormous oasis. As for Noah's story where he is stuck in the whale, it never literally happened, it's just to show that whatever you do, you can't run away from God and he willl never stop helping you. Please this night, take just 5 minutes of your time and think of the many great and wonderful things that happened to you
Sure, great and wonderful things have happened to us all. Doesn't mean it was the Christian god behind it. Why not Hindusism, Islam, Native American Religion, etc. etc. I'd rather not believe in things written by Bronze Age men during the depths of human ignorance. Do we have to believe a garden has fairies at the bottom of it to see it as beautiful? I think we have a wonderful life and universe, but that doesn't mean a god created it...
@kuwinsitall Technically Islam God is the same as Christian one, but as I don't want to, and couldn't, force my beliefs down you throat, all I ask is that you try to refrain from ridiculing other people's faith, Christian or otherwise. Also as you were once a Christian you should know that it's not true that people who don't believe in the Christian God go to hell. It DOES say so in the Bible. So don't let Christians "condemn you to hell" and such.
@MatriXtyle When the FUCK was Noah "stuck" in a whale!?? That was Jonah. If your going to comment on here, at least know your shit. And I know the bible is full of "symbolic" scriptures, but alot of it is meant to be taken literary. Otherwise what's the point? Heaven-literal, Jesus-literal, God?? Well I know its all literal. But still, where do you stop??
I 100% don't mind about atheists. Sure, I'll ask "Why are you one?" sometimes, I understand that they don't like it when others force them to do it. I guess I am christian, cause 1. I was born one 2. What if there is an afterlife in heaven? There is a chance, but then again, as long as you are nice, apparently you get into heaven, plus the belief. No, I'm not a Christian who shoves my religion down others' throats, I respect people for what they (don't) believe in.
@MrRileyCoyote why not be muslim or jewish or deist if you believe. and there's a chance of many other things too. thats not a reason to believe in any.
@muslimmetalman Cause I was, like I said, born into Christians. It would be rather hard to tell them to go to those ones. And I know that there might be others, it's like gambling. There's a chance there's one thing, but another chance it's the opposite.
The most amazing thing is the lack of honesty on the part of Christians. I know, you know, they know they do not talk with God. Their walk with God is fictional, obviously.
In their putative search for the truth can they at least be honest about it. I am and I say I honestly don't know. I see no real evidence of God, so I guess I lack the will to believe in something that doesn't exist - they would say I lack faith.
You nullify everything you say in this video by saying that you are an atheist. If you don't think God is really real, than how can we be convinced that you were convinced of it before you became an "atheist"? How can you claim you knew someone who you say doesn't exist?
you are absolutely right. that is exactly how christians react upon hearing that a christian has become an atheist. that is exactly how i reacted to it, i just didn't understand. it wasn't until much later that i saw what they were seeing. it's funny and ironic how we feel we have to defend our past christianity on top of defending our present atheism.
Nice job actually. I was expecting a typical mindless rant. IMHO, you aren’t the first nor last to have that Eureka! moment. Christianity is a religion after all & all religion sucks. But--Atheism is also an all-or-nothing belief system, and since science can’t answer all the questions either, what have you achieved? Me? I found my truth in the phrase, “Nobody knows!” Simply treat your fellow man well and respect creation, and you are doing Jesus’ work. End of story! Peace to you.
@Evid3nc3...Oh!!! But I almost forgot! There's always time to REPENT!!! Lol!
Just as long as you haven't already been turned over to a "reprobate mind." Of course, I'm sure you could find a Christian to let you know, without a doubt, what the state of your mind is, as well.
@Evid3nc3...Christians say that only "God" knows your heart...but they appear to believe that they have been given some divine knowledge as to whether or not you are TRULY "born again."...even though "God" is the only one who is supposed to have that information. Of course, they will argue this by saying that scripture tells them to judge the fruit of others. Even though scripture also says, "judge not, lest ye be judged."
@Evid3nc3 I know from being a former Christian myself, that some believe that you can lose your salvation. Baptists are inclined to believe "once saved, always saved." Thus, if you are an Atheist, Baptist would most likely believe you to have never been truly born again in the first place. People of other denominations, such as Pentecostals, are more inclined to believe that you CAN truly be saved...but that through deception, you can lose that salvation. I have always thought it funny that...
I sincerely don't think that they don't believe you were a true Christian, it's more like they "DON'T WANT TO BELIEVE" that true Christians can become atheists!!!
Satan is our lord...666!!! For Satan is not the bad guy he is the one that respects ppls rights dumeass so shut up talking about something that is not even worth while...
To think there is a god that would make it a law you have to follow to get into heaven that you have to believe in him and then make his story so unbelievable and full of contradictions is laughable. It amounts to being a's believable as a homeless guy walking up to you, performing a Chris angel magic trick and telling you unless you believe he is Jesus and he is the son of god, you won't be raptured. That would make god imperfect and an idiot and if he exists do you really think hes that inper
But there are far more contradictions than that. Id god so far as to say a person who believes the bible to be fact is an idiot or at least has the worst eye for detail in history. How about this: the ancient Egyptians had a messiah that was born at the same time of year a's Christmas, was visited by three kings on his birth and was given the same three presents. The only difference was he was born thousands of years before Jesus and he had the head of a lion
You talk about using your brain cells but then you talk about understanding the bible a's if it weren't full of contradictions and more holes than Swiss cheese. There are plenty of web sites that have done the research for you and listed all of the contradictions. Look it up. Like how half the bible talks about being a vengeful and angry god and when Jesus shows up god is suddenly full of love
Us to go on nothing but faith. God made us in his image right? So why would god be so dumb as to believe other imperfect people that theres a man in the sky when he had no real proof and people have lied to him before?
Ken, so you think there's a magical man in the sky that wants you to believe other people that he exists even though he tells you not to be gullible or to take everyones word at face value so you don't get taken advantage of? Don't you think that's a huge contradiction? Someone so perfect as god doesn't make contradictions, right? To say he's a self worshiper because he doesn't say hes nothing without a higher power is a bit daft. The burden of proof is on you, not him. You're the one wanting u
I do not doubt you were a christian, I do not doubt that you are intelligent. I do not doubt that you are faking anything. I think you are full of yourself and think you can accomplish everything on your own. This is what I call self-worship. You would have nothing without Christ. You wouldnt have your family's history, you wouldnt have the things you enjoy in life. You would be living as a mercenary son of a whore somewhere in central or eastern europe like in the pagan days. Ignorant!
Good luck with your self-worship. You think you can do it yourself. Look at world history, military feats by believers, nation expansions, blessed endeavors. Show me where in the world a nation exists full of atheists that has accomplished anything other then shit-filled streets. You prosper in a nation guided by god's people while you piss on our faces. Good luck with building anything whatsoever without the LORD. You have nothing and deny your father out of ignorance.
@ken760ca are you an idiot beleif in god has brought some good but way more evil was born into the work with the beleif of god the very thought of god has led to every flaw in human mind and is still the leading force in the death of human morality people like you beleive humans are incapible of understanding an compassion without god how ever the case is the opposite
@ken760ca funny how you say use my brain cell when the very beleif in god exhibits a lack of use of sed cells maybe you should use your brain im not saying god has killed which you seem to be implying i said ( how can something that doesnt exist kill) however i am saying that the very thought of god has led to war and genocide thus it has also led to human immorality
@deathcoresucks1 Wow, you put both brain cells to mutter the same BS you tried to say the first time. Let me put this in baby terms for you since you like 3rd grade insults. The idea of god caused genocide and murder? REALLY? Because I'm pretty sure it was corruption of man's religions and leader wanting power over kingdoms/government that cause those things and they used GOD as a catalyst. Wow, big word for you. Look it up nincompoop.
@ken760ca so what your saying is humans corrupted the idea of god not the other way around i admit that that has been the case throughout history but religion has had no positive effect on human society resulting in things such as oh i dont kno salem witch trials spanish inquesition and also inhibited the development of science for centuries
@deathcoresucks1 I believe you're referring mostly to the Catholic church in the medieval era and later. The church was controlled by power hungry false clergy by that time. Like I said twice already, leaders who wanted power. If they were truly following the word of god, they would have never committed such atrocities. I'm not Catholic. Do not allow satan's deceived men to shape your opinion of our father. The bible says that satan will have free reign over the churches of the world.
@ken760ca so if satan is free to eule over the churches of the world wouldnt that mean you could be wrong in your beleifs and yes i am refering to european occurences but what i would like to ask a seemingly well educated beleiver such as yourself what makes you believe and what in your opinion has christianity or any monotheistic religion done for human society
@deathcoresucks1 Having a relationship with god has nothing to do with religion at all. Religion is a practice of beliefs and rules to live by. Having a relationship with god and receiving his word is about reading the bible and understanding it's true teachings. What has atheism done for society? I have never heard of a prosperous atheist nation. When you find one, let me know. If you want proof there is a god who created everything, just go outside and open your eyes.
@ken760ca there are no prosperous atheist nations because atheisms was not exeptable by society in the last few centuries but im sure if there was one that nation would flourish and be the penacle of human society and that illness wouldnt be so crippling to human society nor would crme and violence because a atheist nation would preach logical thinking and equallity by the way without atheism we wouldnt have modern science
@deathcoresucks1 Yes, I am the idiot, yet you are the one who categorizes everyone and calls people names without knowing anything about them. True sign of being fooled into whatever you want to believe. God is the reason for death? No, corruption of religion and gospel and bickering over power of government is causing death. Lets see if your small monkey brain can wrap around that one. If you just want to insult each other, I can go that route also. Try putting both of your brain cells together
It's basic human psychology, the more people believe a certain thing to be true the more that thing appears to be true. Nowhere is this phenomena more pervasive than in organized religion, still the scourge of humanity in my view.
i was watching ufo videos and came across your presentation, i watched it, and the next day i saw you.... i had no idea you lived in lawrence ks,... so i was very suprised... the next day! i could not believe it.... one of weirdest things. none the less, i said a prayer for you, just to test the power of prayer, and i figured that is how god works.. through human requests. so lets see what happens, ... too bad they don't have royal rangers for adults, couldn't we all use survival skills
i watched your entire series after watching ufos on youtube, it came up randomly. well i saw you today drinking beer in the afternoon. true, in the entire web world, and world, we were thrown together randomly. so i said a prayer for you, so you would get god back, and as an experiment... because i figured if i was in close proximity to your spirit and body i might be able to activate god back into your life. so we will see what happens.
Evid3nc3 you know true Christians don't really care what you do regarding leaving the faith. Plus you also know that its one thing to go your way, but to lead others away is fully upon your head also. The path is narrow, it's not for everyone, Salvation is personal. Bye!
you are unbelievably full of yourself, which would be a fantastic evidence that you never understood the first (and most important) part of conversion: "there is none righteous, no not one" see also Romans 3
"Why do bad things happen to good people? That only happened once, and He volunteered." - R.C. Sproul
I'M SORRY IF YOU THINK I RANT. I DID NOT MEAN TO RANT. I JUST LOVE THE LORD JESUS SO MUCH, AND I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW HIM. I USED TO DRINK,DO DRUGS AND ALWAYS WAS FIGHTING. I HURT A LOT OF PEOPLE, AND I WAS ALSO HURT. I GOT TO KNOW MY SAVIOUR, AND THAT CHANGED MY LIFE!! AGAIN, I'M SO SORRY,BUT I FOUND TRUE TREASURE AND JUST WANT TO SHARE IT (CHRIST) WITH EVERYONE.TRY READING THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF AND SEE WHAT YOU THINK OF GOD AFTER IT.I DO NOT LIKE THE WAY SOME CHRISTIANS GO ABOUT SHARING GOD
THE BIBLE STATES THAT WE WERE CHOSEN BY GOD BEFORE THE EARTH WAS MADE. SO, MY PRECIOUS FRIEND,DO YOU THINK YOU WERE REALLY CHOSEN?
GOD DOESN'T TAKE BACK HIS GIFT OF SALVATION.HOW COULD YOU SAY YOU WERE BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIAN,AND THEN, NOT!! PENTACOSTALS (WHICH YOU WERE) THINK THEY GET "BORN-AGAIN"BY YOUR OWN POWER,YOU CANT. YOU MY FRIEND,DID NOT HAVE A TRUE CONVERSION. YOU CAN TALK TO PEOPLE WITH YOUR "SWEET/CARING" VOICE AND TRY TO CHANGE THEIR MINDS,BUT YOU CAN'T,TRUE CHRISTIAN WILL NOT CHANGE.
...for all eternity; that God loves you just the same, even though you have sinned; that after an innumerable number of falls you will get victory; that you have a right to be encouraged just the same; that praying does help; that you are worthy to testify; that you still belong at the meetings; etc., etc.
Where does discouragement come from? It comes from our adversary the devil, the deceiver. Why do you believe him? Is he the one you are following? Do you trust him? Is it his word that you
All discouragement and despondency have only one source--sin. If you don't sin in any way, you can't possibly become discouraged. But even if you HAVE sinned, you don't have to be discouraged. It is NOT written: "DISCOURAGED is he whose sin is forgiven." Discouragement comes from (1) sinning, and (2) then doubting. What is it that you doubt? You doubt that your sin is forgiven in the same second that it has been confessed; that it is totally forgiven and gorgotten
Evid3nc3 implies sight, correct? Than witnessing as a Christian means that one must live his/hers life accordingly in order for others to be able to "witness" the Christ in you. It's not aboput going to people and asking them if they've been saved?! or if they have a "personal relationship witxyh Jesus". your concept of Christianity was wrong to start with and I blame it on the "so-called" Church that you were a part of. I would be intrested in what you think, i hope we can dialogue! Take care
Evid3nc3 In my community it's not surprising in the least. I'm not sure if it's this video(b/c i saw your video initially on a doc site) but you made a claim that "winessing" per se is a requirement in Christianity and that you were having a hard time with it. I know for a fact that the reason it was hard was b/c you were misinformed about it, this is always the Protestant dilema! Witnessing doesn't mean you got to go around trying to "talk/preach" to everyone, that's hypocritical, witnessing...
Evid3nc3 I believe...know, that your concept of Christianity before your deconversion was totally incorrect. You might get this comment often but my reasons is concrete. I'm not trying to "re-convert" you but I'd like a chance to clarify your misunderstandings of Christianity due to your upringing and the Pentacostal point of view. Btw i'm Orthodox and it seems to me that it is the Protestant concept of Christianity(as well as the Catholic at times) that causes many to "deconvert". cont.
! Because it is so beautiful! All I can say is if you pursue truth, if you grapple with the fundamental questions of our existence, if you are honest about the state of humanity, if you take all arguments into account….I pray you find the truth. I pray it is the same as mine, not because I have a complex about being right but because its everything I could have hoped for and more!
I can tell you, He does my friend. He does. I am never going to be perfect but I don’t wanna be, I don’t pursue that, its not the point, I AM NOT THE POINT, what I pursue is to praise God. I don’t even want to convert you! Its just I doubted God and now I don’t and I know that you all are pursuing the truth just as I did and I feel like I found it! Guys I found it and I want to share it!
The Holy Spirit enabled Christ to do healings and miracles and he enables his people today to do the same, to heal, love, speak in tongues, do miracles. And yes God LOVES humanity, Hes God he doesn’t need to give us anything, but he promises to fulfill our every need our every longing, to makes us perfect in love and free us from our bondage if only we would come to Him, to chose to believe, to surrender to somethng bigger than us that makes us humble and vulnerable.
And its not about will power to attain these things, its about building a relationship with the Creator of you and me and the universe, a living God that changes you as you get to know him. Its like spending time with people that just have a good attitude all the time, they rub off. But its more! Christ promised those who follow Him the Holy Spirit who makes his home in us and enables us.
Okay well we disagree, its all good, all I can say is that I tried and tried and tried to live out of my own strength and I failed over and over. Christianity makes so much sense to me. I say God is love because according to the world love is an emotion, its passion, its happiness, its a lot of good stuff but its not complete! . And THAT my friend, is a powerful perspective on love!
@rgirard1 - You're wrong. Your god and his kid are false and it's unfortunate that you were indoctrinated into thinking so. There is god, but the creator Lord Bramah (well that's not quite true... there's a SHITLOAD of gods in the Hindu religion, but even still... a billion Indians can't be wrong!)
Believe now or spend all eternity in Patala!
(seriouly though, this is coming from a very militant atheist... hey, if I do one day convert it will be to Hinduism and NOT your Christ fanclub).
i used to be a good little christian boy, but once i turned 6 and started to gain some common sense, i started to doubt it all. it was very hard. i REALLY wanted to believe, but i just couldnt. i would beg god to help me understand, because in my mind it just seemed so ridiculous i could not honestly believe it. now im atheist and i see the truth
kind of putting god aside and things. how is it we have all the animals we have and that they all seem to have there own place in the animal kingdom? is there just alot of coincidences? um... i guess i'm getting at the cycles of life? also is there maybe some reason to explain our minds and body's.. more or less how they work like they do? geez... also things like the fact that we do breath air and there is alot of air on earth for us to breath with all sorts of tree's to filtering the air???

1LonePuma 1 week ago

(cont. pt2.)
TaintedRave 1 week ago
@1LonePuma pt.2
(cont. pt.3)
TaintedRave 1 week ago
@1LonePuma pt.3
Still think the bible is all true?
TaintedRave 1 week ago
@TaintedRave: I can see you're stuck, but I've given you the tools to see other wise. From here on out, you're on your own. If you don't want to believe, that's find, it's you not me that will suffer the consequences of your decision. Bring plenty of ice!
We're finished

@1LonePuma I've just pointed out to you exactly what parts of the bible are absolutely impossible/don't make sense (there are TONS more), and you soldier on through ignorance. God (since you believe in him) gave you the ability to think critically about things. Use this gift to think about the bible and realize how flawed it is.
The saddest part about being an atheist is not being able to say "I TOLD YOU SO" to believers once they die. Ah well.
Now we're done. Have a nice day regardless :)

1LonePuma 1 week ago in playlist Why I Am No Longer A Christian
Part 2: I'd say you never read how our faith would be tried, we're in a spiritual Army fighting a spiritual battle! Didn't the Lord fight Satan? His weapon was the word of God saying, "It is written", then the appropriate scripture. If you were a Christian, you were never taught how to do battle or never knew you'd be in a battle for your life. That's what Satan does, he's the tempter, deceiver! That said, you owe it to yourself to read the book, "The Divine Revelation of Hell" your destination.
1LonePuma 1 week ago in playlist Why I Am No Longer A Christian

God bless you!
mbsk3lton 3 months ago
@mbsk3lton The word "philosophy" comes from the Greek φιλοσοφία (philosophia), which literally means "love of wisdom". So I should beware of a man that has a "love of wisdom"?????????????? How many question marks can I whack on that?
4fuksake00 3 months ago
@4fuksake00 my friend, you make it sound like youre presenting your case to me. Im not God Almighty that will throw you into hell, Im not your judge. I DO read my bible, and I DO understand it, I wish you COULD do the same, friend. But the big question is, where are you going when you die? Luke 9"26 "For whosoever shall be ashamed of Me and of My words, of him shall be the Son of man be ashamed, when He shall come in His own glory, and in His Father's, and of the Holy angels."
mbsk3lton 3 months ago
@mbsk3lton All right then my friend. You have not answered my points in anyway but carried on with you religious banter. However, if you wish to scare me in to believing, then you only pushed me further away. I do not believe that if there was a God he would create a hell for any man. I would like to think you need more than a threat of eternal hell fire to be a well rounded and "good" person. I am a good person. I do not deserve to die by any-means, and I am like that without a threat from God.
4fuksake00 3 months ago
@4fuksake00 Me scare you?! LOL my friend, you have become so blind and deaf to the truth. Satan has covered your eyes with his hands and plugged your ears with his fingers. 2 Thessalonians 1:8 "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, And that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ." Proof there is a hell for people that do not know God, nor follow the gospel of Jesus. You dont believe in Hell? Ask God to show you hell, and Im sure He will, just to wake you up.
mbsk3lton 3 months ago
@mbsk3lton Quoting words from a book does NOT in any way prove that hell is real.

Im getting the feeling that ur concept of God, was somehow misconstrued and he didn't answer a few prayers, maybe let you down, and that led you to not believing. don't know how i came across this video series. you don't explain how your life is better as an atheist than when you were christian. why not? what is different? you still go to church? your family, are you married? for how long? how long have you been an atheist? by definition, aren't you agnostic: "one believes that there is no proof of the existence of god but does not deny the possibility that god exists"? do you have children?

@4fuksake00 When you stand before God on Judgment Day, could you say that? John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by Me." I Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils." 2 Thessalonians 2:12 "That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness." Accept Christ today, my friend!
mbsk3lton 3 months ago
@mbsk3lton ...nice quoting there, problem is I don't believe the bible, its man's word to me, not gods. And it seems your saying that this video series is a doctrine of the devil. This video series seems like a solid, researched, question of the bible. Are you saying we should all follow the bible without question, only faith? Is that what "god" wants? Seems like an easy way for churches to lead the true blind. I didn't believe in the bible long before I watched this. Its not hard to doubt it
4fuksake00 3 months ago

4fuksake00 3 months ago
@4fuksake00 The reason God doesn't "pop out of the clouds" is because we cant see Him and live afterwards. Exodus 33:20 "And He said, You can not see My face: for there shall no man see Me, and live." Let me ask you, friend, if you could see with your imperfect human eyes, the angels and demons fighting for your soul, would you believe? Jesus talks to Thomas in John 21:29 "...Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed."
mbsk3lton 3 months ago
@mbsk3lton God created life yes? So he created ants and bacteria. Jesus was God's son and yet he manifested himself as a human. The Burning Bush (Exodus 3:1-15) Is a prime example of God creating a visible reality of himself. You can say that it was not God but angles that made this possible, but that would do fine. If God can create something as small as an ant without destroying it, then surely he CAN pop his head in the clouds. Luke 1:37, For with God nothing shall be impossible.
4fuksake00 3 months ago
@mbsk3lton Hang on I'll beat you to the punch. You would say,"You shall not test the Lord your God" (Luke 4:12 King James v.2000) And what has been created is a loop hole where you MUST have faith, you SHAN'T question it, or it's creator because that would be testing god. There are religions that don't allow there children to learn evolution at school. Religion has created generations of people following it blindly. They have no choice. Its like extreme dictatorship, it's wrong and stupid. Sorry
4fuksake00 3 months ago

Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." All you Christian bashers should take a look at the original manuscripts of the bible.

@twambomb The story of creation is not historically accurate. Sorry to burst your bubble bro.
Kortneiii 5 months ago
@Kortneiii Your right, there are actually 3 separate accounts of creation in genesis. Although, its like playing the game telephone, when a story is passed down from generation to generation there are discrepancies although the core truth still remains. And how did the world begin? might I ask? The big bang? Chemicals being created from pressure? Where'd the pressure come from. Learn some history, biology, maybe some chemistry, look at it like a scientist rationally then we can talk.
twambomb 5 months ago
@twambomb So you're going to tell me that science is inaccurate when you believe a magical sky wizard randomly appeared and created everything? Not to mention the thousands of contradictions in the bible, even more if the council of hippo had left in -every- story. The bible is just as legitimate to me as Alice in Wonderland. P.s. It's "you're" not "your", how was elementary school English class for you?
Kortneiii 5 months ago
@Kortneiii Who said anything about science being inaccurate? I love science actually. And ya, english isn't my strong suit. Biology, chemistry and history. Well....they're my strong suits. Seriously look at some actual evidence please.Did you know Julius Caesar had only 8 documents saying he actually existed? Written 200 years after he was alive. There were over 15,000(original documents) found dating back(With science) to 50 years from when Jesus was said to have been alive. So you have to face
twambomb 5 months ago
@Kortneiii that he was a real person. 50 years,is less time then when the holocaust happened. Care to deny that. Yu do realize, these are original, handwritten documents. No one would copy out the books of the bible hundreds of time within 50 years just for a joke. That's simple logic. You kind of learn that in math.Any one can make an opinion. But the truth comes from facts. Wouldn't you agree? These documents are historically accurate.Calling it a fairytale is just plain arrogance.
twambomb 5 months ago
@twambomb And just because people added together a series of documents over 50 years doesn't mean anything. Please, tell me how the "miracles" Jesus preformed are fact. That's like reading Alice in Wonderland and thinking that talking rainbow cats exist. #watchmakeranalogy.

Please give some thought if you respond.Actually research
twambomb 5 months ago
@twambomb Uh yes, feelings are caused by chemicals releasing in the brain, please lrn2grade9biology. And what the fuck is "then you feel free to speak." You're ignorant. Do you honestly believe the universe is only 10,000 years old? Even with geological and archaeological evidence contradicting your -theory- you're still going to say science is wrong because you're just that stupid. If a 16 year old girl knows creationism is wrong, it should be common sense to an adult.
Kortneiii 5 months ago
@Kortneiii For one, you didn't provide any evidence, which I asked for. 2 I love science, Biology 12 and Chem 12 were my fav. subjects. And ignorance, missy, means lack of knowledge. If your going to use a word, try using a dictionary next time. You are young and naive. Seriously use google and you'll find what your looking for. Btw, carbon dating has lots of errors, so don't rely on it. Like I said, get actual evidence, and then we can talk.So for the record. science is my strong suit, so dont
twambomb 5 months ago
@twambomb 1. Religion is just a way to fill in the voids in knowledge to give us a false sense of security.
2. Earth started off as a clusterfuck of space rock hurdling towards each other, with the impacts giving off thermal energy (hence why our planet has a molten core) and some rocks had quantities of water, methane, ammonia and hydrogen.
Kortneiii 5 months ago
Cont - All of those chemicals came together into a chemical soup and the climate of the earth began its baby steps, starting with thunderstorms which in turn was natures own way of electrolysis with the chemical cocktail, which then later bonded into complex chains of amino acids and proteins, thus life.
It doesn't take two fucking brain cells to rub together, mister "hurr I took grade 12 sciences." Your arguments are making baby Jesus cry.

Please this night, take just 5 minutes of your time and think of the many great and wonderful things that happened to you
MatriXtyle 5 months ago
@MatriXtyle
I think we have a wonderful life and universe, but that doesn't mean a god created it...
kuwinsitall 5 months ago
@kuwinsitall Technically Islam God is the same as Christian one, but as I don't want to, and couldn't, force my beliefs down you throat, all I ask is that you try to refrain from ridiculing other people's faith, Christian or otherwise. Also as you were once a Christian you should know that it's not true that people who don't believe in the Christian God go to hell. It DOES say so in the Bible. So don't let Christians "condemn you to hell" and such.

MrRileyCoyote 5 months ago
The most amazing thing is the lack of honesty on the part of Christians. I know, you know, they know they do not talk with God. Their walk with God is fictional, obviously.
In their putative search for the truth can they at least be honest about it. I am and I say I honestly don't know. I see no real evidence of God, so I guess I lack the will to believe in something that doesn't exist - they would say I lack faith.

You nullify everything you say in this video by saying that you are an atheist. If you don't think God is really real, than how can we be convinced that you were convinced of it before you became an "atheist"? How can you claim you knew someone who you say doesn't exist?
pgmacd 6 months ago
you are absolutely right. that is exactly how christians react upon hearing that a christian has become an atheist. that is exactly how i reacted to it, i just didn't understand. it wasn't until much later that i saw what they were seeing. it's funny and ironic how we feel we have to defend our past christianity on top of defending our present atheism.
suicidejournal 6 months ago

XD

@Evid3nc3...Anyhow, my point is:
I think you're "damned" either way here, in the eyes of Christians.
esspears 7 months ago
@Evid3nc3...Christians say that only "God" knows your heart...but they appear to believe that they have been given some divine knowledge as to whether or not you are TRULY "born again."...even though "God" is the only one who is supposed to have that information. Of course, they will argue this by saying that scripture tells them to judge the fruit of others. Even though scripture also says, "judge not, lest ye be judged."
esspears 7 months ago
@Evid3nc3 I know from being a former Christian myself, that some believe that you can lose your salvation. Baptists are inclined to believe "once saved, always saved." Thus, if you are an Atheist, Baptist would most likely believe you to have never been truly born again in the first place. People of other denominations, such as Pentecostals, are more inclined to believe that you CAN truly be saved...but that through deception, you can lose that salvation. I have always thought it funny that...

Brownbagit1 7 months ago
But there are far more contradictions than that. Id god so far as to say a person who believes the bible to be fact is an idiot or at least has the worst eye for detail in history. How about this: the ancient Egyptians had a messiah that was born at the same time of year a's Christmas, was visited by three kings on his birth and was given the same three presents. The only difference was he was born thousands of years before Jesus and he had the head of a lion

Look it up nincompoop.
ken760ca 7 months ago
@ken760ca so what your saying is humans corrupted the idea of god not the other way around i admit that that has been the case throughout history but religion has had no positive effect on human society resulting in things such as oh i dont kno salem witch trials spanish inquesition and also inhibited the development of science for centuries
deathcoresucks1 7 months ago
@deathcoresucks1 I believe you're referring mostly to the Catholic church in the medieval era and later. The church was controlled by power hungry false clergy by that time. Like I said twice already, leaders who wanted power. If they were truly following the word of god, they would have never committed such atrocities. I'm not Catholic. Do not allow satan's deceived men to shape your opinion of our father. The bible says that satan will have free reign over the churches of the world.
ken760ca 7 months ago
@ken760ca so if satan is free to eule over the churches of the world wouldnt that mean you could be wrong in your beleifs and yes i am refering to european occurences but what i would like to ask a seemingly well educated beleiver such as yourself what makes you believe and what in your opinion has christianity or any monotheistic religion done for human society
deathcoresucks1 7 months ago
@deathcoresucks1 Having a relationship with god has nothing to do with religion at all. Religion is a practice of beliefs and rules to live by. Having a relationship with god and receiving his word is about reading the bible and understanding it's true teachings. What has atheism done for society? I have never heard of a prosperous atheist nation. When you find one, let me know. If you want proof there is a god who created everything, just go outside and open your eyes.
ken760ca 7 months ago

Try putting both of your brain cells together

hey evidence, would you do a video on the christmas/pegan holiday thing?
antidote420024 9 months ago
they're trying to say that you didn't "believe" to discredit you. seems like the same old story.
antidote420024 9 months ago
It's basic human psychology, the more people believe a certain thing to be true the more that thing appears to be true. Nowhere is this phenomena more pervasive than in organized religion, still the scourge of humanity in my view.

I believe most christians don't live, they are lived by others. They believe what others have made them believe. It's sad, really sad.

i was watching ufo videos and came across your presentation, i watched it, and the next day i saw you.... i had no idea you lived in lawrence ks,... so i was very suprised... the next day! i could not believe it.... one of weirdest things. none the less, i said a prayer for you, just to test the power of prayer, and i figured that is how god works.. through human requests. so lets see what happens, ... too bad they don't have royal rangers for adults, couldn't we all use survival skills

i watched your entire series after watching ufos on youtube, it came up randomly. well i saw you today drinking beer in the afternoon. true, in the entire web world, and world, we were thrown together randomly. so i said a prayer for you, so you would get god back, and as an experiment... because i figured if i was in close proximity to your spirit and body i might be able to activate god back into your life. so we will see what happens.

Evid3nc3 you know true Christians don't really care what you do regarding leaving the faith. Plus you also know that its one thing to go your way, but to lead others away is fully upon your head also. The path is narrow, it's not for everyone, Salvation is personal. Bye!
Drebln893 10 months ago
you are unbelievably full of yourself, which would be a fantastic evidence that you never understood the first (and most important) part of conversion: "there is none righteous, no not one" see also Romans 3

AGAIN, I'M SO SORRY,BUT I FOUND TRUE TREASURE AND JUST WANT TO SHARE IT (CHRIST) WITH EVERYONE.TRY READING THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF AND SEE WHAT YOU THINK OF GOD AFTER IT.I DO NOT LIKE THE WAY SOME CHRISTIANS GO ABOUT SHARING GOD
coonoocoo 10 months ago

DISCOURAGEMENT - Elias Aslaksen

Take care
GhinainanEvNoti 11 months ago
Evid3nc3 In my community it's not surprising in the least. I'm not sure if it's this video(b/c i saw your video initially on a doc site) but you made a claim that "winessing" per se is a requirement in Christianity and that you were having a hard time with it. I know for a fact that the reason it was hard was b/c you were misinformed about it, this is always the Protestant dilema! Witnessing doesn't mean you got to go around trying to "talk/preach" to everyone, that's hypocritical, witnessing...
GhinainanEvNoti 11 months ago
Evid3nc3 I believe...know, that your concept of Christianity before your deconversion was totally incorrect. You might get this comment often but my reasons is concrete. I'm not trying to "re-convert" you but I'd like a chance to clarify your misunderstandings of Christianity due to your upringing and the Pentacostal point of view. Btw i'm Orthodox and it seems to me that it is the Protestant concept of Christianity(as well as the Catholic at times) that causes many to "deconvert". cont.

I feel like all I can do from here is grow, I don’t feel static or stuck. And THAT is life. So I pray you find truth.
rgirard1 11 months ago
! Because it is so beautiful! All I can say is if you pursue truth, if you grapple with the fundamental questions of our existence, if you are honest about the state of humanity, if you take all arguments into account….I pray you find the truth. I pray it is the same as mine, not because I have a complex about being right but because its everything I could have hoped for and more!
rgirard1 11 months ago
I can tell you, He does my friend. He does. I am never going to be perfect but I don’t wanna be, I don’t pursue that, its not the point, I AM NOT THE POINT, what I pursue is to praise God. I don’t even want to convert you! Its just I doubted God and now I don’t and I know that you all are pursuing the truth just as I did and I feel like I found it! Guys I found it and I want to share it!

The Holy Spirit enabled Christ to do healings and miracles and he enables his people today to do the same, to heal, love, speak in tongues, do miracles. And yes God LOVES humanity, Hes God he doesn’t need to give us anything, but he promises to fulfill our every need our every longing, to makes us perfect in love and free us from our bondage if only we would come to Him, to chose to believe, to surrender to somethng bigger than us that makes us humble and vulnerable.
rgirard1 11 months ago
And its not about will power to attain these things, its about building a relationship with the Creator of you and me and the universe, a living God that changes you as you get to know him. Its like spending time with people that just have a good attitude all the time, they rub off. But its more! Christ promised those who follow Him the Holy Spirit who makes his home in us and enables us.
rgirard1 11 months ago
Okay well we disagree, its all good, all I can say is that I tried and tried and tried to live out of my own strength and I failed over and over. Christianity makes so much sense to me. I say God is love because according to the world love is an emotion, its passion, its happiness, its a lot of good stuff but its not complete! . And THAT my friend, is a powerful perspective on love!
rgirard1 11 months ago
