  • loved ran buy kagemusha was trash

  • @THEKAKI2012 you're trash

  • Whoa, almost gave the BIGGGEST lady kaede spoiler possible. I like AOS guys, but be wary of spoilers in this critics picks.

  • This is a true masterpiece that any real movie lover will enjoy. You can tell Kurosawa poured his heart & soul into this.

  • @Terrapinfan2007 go and watch some cameron diaz movie

  • Hmmm... good review, now if you'll excuse me, I need to go and rethink my entire life from start until now, brb.

  • fuck, alot of spoilers, shit!!!

  • Excellent discussion, Mr. Scott. I just learned that you and Michael Phillips have replaced the hosts on "At the Movies". I used to really enjoy that show when Mr. Ebert, Siskel and Roeper were on it. The chance to watch a pair of professionals discuss film was great, and I loved being a fly on the wall privy to the conversations.

I'll see you on the balcony.

  • That last scene was a tribute to Kurosawa's genius.

  • that stuntman that got the horses running over him, is freaking brave.

  • Shitty way to die ;)

  • I need to add just one more thing... Please, please, please watch this film in cinema or on a very big and wide screen.

  • @yutethebeaute You're absolutely right, this is a film that can only really be seen on a big screen, I saw it when it was released & have never forgotten just how brilliant it was/is.

  • if what they meant to say is that this is the best movie ever made in human history, then ya, they are right. what the guy is saying is sub-retarded though. HELLO its shakespearean tragedy, durrrrr.

  • This is the kind of YouTube programming from the NYT that makes them relevant, at a time when they have lost most of their former relevance.

    Nice job A.O. Scott.
