My friend Eli .. I hope to see the Youtube Rasheed Street, Baghdad, 1930, and the film it received from a Jewish friend and a section added to it serves as a beautiful and depicts Baghdadi I hope to see ... Thanks and respect ,,,, fathil
I was emailed your comment by Youtube, but I found it was removed. However, I have emailed it to a friend of Sit Semha who will read it to her. What year were you in Frank Iny and what class?
@elitiman thank you so much. No it is not me but my older sister Nadira was student in alkarg middle school where Ms. Semha used to teach . My sister still lives in alkarg /Bagdad but I escaped from iraq 32 years ago and since then I live in Canada. We are not Jews but you know the war, the dictators ship regime of Saddam....etc so I escaped from Iraq. Thanks again.
I have emailed your comment to sit semha. She told me in an interview, that while teaching at "Mutawssitat al karkh", the girls were amazed that she called them by name on the second day of school. The secret: she had given them a test the previous day. At the top of the test they had to write their name. While the girls were answering the questions, she would go round making note of their name and the position of their class bench (Al RaHla).

Thank you for your nice sentiments. Sit Semha was very exact with her information, despite her graceful age. The interview lasted for 1 hour and will be published in few months on my website. I will declare it on youtube when it happens.
@elitiman I do not have the email of Ms Seham. Can you please forward this comment to her if you have her email. Thank so much.
Ms. Sehma . Thank you very much for this Interview and thank for your service to our Iraqi student. You are part of our Iraqi heritage. If you remember the Iraqi saying: Min Alameni Harfan, Melekni Habdan. Who ever thought me to read and write , own me. We love you
This is an excellent documentation to the history of modern Baghdad. I just need to add a comment on the fate of the great library that were there, as I was astudent in Al Nidamyah high school that took over. The books were burnt in the backyard of the school, because first they were not interesting for the authorities and secondly because they were infested with "ARDHA" .
Dear Elitiman. I tried to write you a longer letter with my memories of the school but i was not allowed by the site. unfortuantely i don't have pictures. God Bless
One of the biggest mistakes the iraqi regime made in the 70s was banning all private schools. i think private schools are needed in todays iraq.

חבל שרק כעת נזכרנו באנשים שגידלו אותנו ועשו מאיתנו בניאדם, מהנדסים, רופאים ועוד....
unfortunately we only now remember some people who made us human beings, engeneers, doctors and others
